Hi everyone,

This thread is for all you incessant worriers out there, not necessarily limited to IVF-ers, although I get the feeling the people who have had trouble TTC are more prone to worrying than others!

Ooh crisps... awaits news!

motor I want your morning. (Apart from the cat.)

I have cracked. Last night was bloody awful and she ended up in our bed again, feeding all night. How can she feed for four hours during the day and still need to feed all night? I'm going to switch her to a bottle and if she needs to become very hungry before she takes it then so be it. I am horribly neglecting DD1 and I feel guilty and upset about everything all the bloody time.

Ok, rant over. I'm going out to buy formula.

Buzzybee123 · 24/11/2013 11:55

crisps oooh exciting, hope all went well

motor have done lots but still have lots to do, I am working on my hospital bag at present. Too lazy to do much today, your morning sounds bliss

keep thanks for updating the list

onion sorry you've had such a rough night

Just popping in quickly on my way for more cake , but yay for crisps, if FB is right!

shazz I'm thinking of you and hoping all is ok. As everyone has said, the hypno techniques will have got you through the 5(!) days of early labour - you must be well hard! I'd be screaming for drugs- and will hopefully have helped with what comes next. Please don't feel disappointed lovely, you have been doing amazingly and little shazzlet will be here soon enough.

beetle I really hope things have improved over the weekend. Thinking of you.

onion sorry to hear you had yet another bad night. Hopefully the formula will sort her out. I can't imagine how tough it must be, particularly with another little one to look after.

Waves to everyone else. Will catch up properly tomorrow.

Oh and I'm now 37 weeks Grin

fairypangolin · 24/11/2013 11:58

onion oh that's so hard. Is she really feeding for that long? Ie milk flowing and she's swallowing? Pangolina feeds for a v short time, eg 15 min at most but my milk comes out v quickly and almost drowns her at first, poor thing. She getsv upset because she chokes and splutters but then it slows down. I'm not sure she's getting enough because DS fed for a lot longer. But anyway back to your problem, getting her on to a substitute seems the only solution.

I empathise re neglecting your DD1, I am v snappish w DS these days but luckily DH has been around to spoil him.

Dying to hear from crisps and shazza and beetle!

keep the first six weeks are the hardest, then most babies settle down because their digestive systems don't trouble them so much. Hang in there, it is relentless in the interim.

Nokkie73 · 24/11/2013 12:31

crispy has dropped ! Brilliant news. I shall have a fish finger sandwich to celebrate.

shazza I have been thinking about you all weekend. I really hope you are doing ok. I agree with gin - you are NAILS girl ! You will have earned your birth spurs from all this honey.

beetle you are also in my thoughts. I hope you and your boys are doing ok. Please let us know how you're all doing.

gin what a good girl mini gin is turning for her mummy ! You must be so relieved. I have an appointment with the midwife tomorrow so I am hoping she will tell me that the nipper is also head down.

buzz have you got your nursery finished now ? Next week is the big push for us to get it all done (or for me to f'king murder DP). I ordered nursery furniture yesterday - that was exciting !

onion so sorry to hear you have had such a nightmare with CC. Can't you pop Heinz fruity custard into a bottle and give her that ? Only joking. It just shows you that each day can be so different with a baby that you can't take anything for granted.

keep and ceara I am also worried about my cat. She is quite naughty and very nosey but hates other people coming into the house. Quite what she will make of a screaming bambino, I don't know.....

mrshy fairy motor dildals and anyone I have left out because I can't scroll back that far, hello ! Right, off to pop those fish fingers into a bap and swallow them whole. Yum yum.

Nokkie73 · 24/11/2013 12:32

And sweetie and mad and foody too. Grin

putthecrispsDOWN · 24/11/2013 17:06

Helloooo! Quick update from me as on phone in hosp.....went into labour on Thurs, got admitted, had steroid injections and drip to slow labour. Managed to.hold it off until Sat morning when waters broke! Cue very painful contractions 2mins apart all day, no pain relief as biatch registrar kept saying I wasn't dilating! Got to 7, had tiny.shot of morphine, biatch reg still.said no epidural, got to 10, fully dilated! 2 paracetamol and gave birth to them both naturally.ooooooouuuuuch. Pearl Dixie was born at 11.02 weighing 3lbs 12 followed by Nancy Dolly at 11.20 weighing 4lbs 11, at 34 weekd exactly. Nancy went straight to neonatal but is now back with us, both feeding and breathing well. Had to have spinal block and surgery at 4am, lots of tears and needed some stuff evacuating but ok now. Havent slept in four days but we are elated and so.so lucky. Will update again soon!!!!!

Nokkie73 · 24/11/2013 17:29

Squeeeeee crisps well done ! I am so pleased for you all (great names btw - Nancy is one of mine if we have a girl). Please keep us posted and loaded with pics please (demanding, moi ?).

Beeatch Registrar needs to be punched in the face.

Nokkie73 · 24/11/2013 17:32

Forgive the squeeeees all over the place. I'm just quite excitable right now. Blush

SweetieTime · 24/11/2013 18:10

OMG Crisps congratulations on the birth of your babies. well done for going all the way more or less naturally. Lovely names too, loving the middle names especially. Glad you are all back together and by the sounds doing well.

Cannot believe biatch registrar would not give you adequate pain relief. You should complain if you get chance. Any ideas when you will be home?

keepitgoing · 24/11/2013 18:17

Oh congratulations!! Fabulous news, so glad they are doing so well. Lots of love x

MotorcycleMama · 24/11/2013 18:53

Congratulations crisps Flowers Sounds dramatic to say the least! So glad your baby girls are doing well, and I hope you are recovering comfortably. Well done!

fairypangolin · 24/11/2013 19:16

Oh wonderful! Well done on the natural birth of twins, even if not entirely to plan! Bit crap of the registrar to refuse the epidural, when you got to 7 cm what was she waiting for? Anyway, no matter now! Love the names too. Hope you get some rest in the hospital now.

MrsHY1 · 24/11/2013 19:27

Crisps! Congratulations and gorgeous gorgeous names. Punch in the chuff for the mean registrar. Grin

OnionRing · 24/11/2013 20:06

crisps, congratulations that's amazing. You are nails though! Excellent names too (I can just imagine Pearl and Nancy out on the town together!)

I can't write more as ringlet has been screaming for nearly an hour now and I'm going mad. We are absolutely back to square one and she's refusing formula. God this is such a battle.

keepitgoing · 24/11/2013 21:34

Oh onion poor you! Does dildals' mantra of its a phase work for you too?

ceara · 24/11/2013 21:58

OMG, crisps huge congratulations and I am so pleased you, Pearl and Nancy are all together now and recovering after all the dramas. That was a bit sudden! And on not much more than two paracetamol, wow. What a cow the registrar waswas though.

shazz, beetle, thinking of you both.

onion, so sorry you and ringlet have had a setback, it sounds awful. Hang in there.

buzzy, hospital bag? Should I be worried? :-) It hadn't crossed my mind yet but I'm due two days before you so maybe I should get my act together!

keep you definitely have me worried. Our moggie is already master of thethe (very) occasional sneaky protest piss when life doesn't go his way. So we will have the cat pooing everywhere as well as the baby? Aaargh.... Though noks, my midwife reckons cats who are territorial with visitors are often absolutely fine with your own baby and accept it because it's yours (and are smart enough to keep a strategic distance...) So it may go better than expected, you never know.

Waving to everyone else.

Nokkie73 · 24/11/2013 23:10

Ok - it is truly a night for more squealing round here because..........shazza has just popped out a gorgeous little GIRL ! Delivered by c-section last night. Mum and (yet to be named) baby doing well and may even be let home tomorrow. T'is a night for joyous news round these parts Grin

OnionRing · 24/11/2013 23:44

Really?! A girl too, there's a surprise! That's brilliant news shazza, congratulations! I hope you're ok and can come and tell us all about her soon.

'This too shall pass' is my mantra through gritted teeth, keep. On my third feed of the night and it's not even midnight yet. I have caved in on the breast feeding for tonight but it will be bottles from tomorrow.

keepitgoing · 25/11/2013 05:37

Congratulations shaz! Same bday as Nancy and pearl.

Well Scarlett seems to have barely slept last night, she's always asleep till I put her in the cot, then hungry again. Feel like I'm going mad and no idea how I will manage once dh goes back to work tomorrow.

ceara · 25/11/2013 06:16

Huge congratulations shazz and shazlett!! That is such good news she is finally here and that you are recovering and may even be home today ( though don't rush it). Yaaaaay!!

Ginestas · 25/11/2013 07:57

I'm going to join in nok's squealing, at all the new babies!! 3 in one weekend Grin A massive congrats to crisps! Beautiful names for beautiful little girls. I'm so pleased to hear that they are doing so well. And shazz who surely has to win the nails prize for 7 days in labour! Such good news and more team pink members :)

MrsHY1 · 25/11/2013 08:14

Shazz- NAILS prize winner indeed!! And seriously- we're going to be able to form our own atomic kitten/ sugababes/ destiny's child girl band here. Grin Xxx

Nokkie73 · 25/11/2013 09:26

We can also have a birthing scale. 'So, on a scale of keep to shazza how was your birthing experience ?'

All those mums at mother and toddler groups in da hood will have no chance competing with our shazza on the who is NAILS competition.

SweetieTime · 25/11/2013 09:50

I have only just seen the Shazza news. What a weekend!!! Congratulations Shazza on the long awaited arrival of Shazlette. Cannot wait to hear what you are naming her. Hope you are recovering well and will be home soon.
