Hello again - another shiny new thread for the batsh*t crazy women going through the stress and emotional rollercoaster that is being pregnant after a miscarriage.

Fingers crossed for lots of happy scans and boring pregnancies.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

black what an arse that they can't scan you but honestly loads of us have had the yellow discharge. Some threads say its caused by pregnacare vitamins, some say its your body clearing out bacteria as you aren't having periods and some say the mucous plug thing and no odour or itching are really good signs. Not sure re the blood staining apart from lots of us have had blood loss in pg too so maybe you are just unlucky to get both at the same time. I hope you have a very busy weekend to distract yourself xx

fod I'm glad you're feeling better - sounds like it probably was just a teeny bit of old blood.

shell that all sounds lovely Grin i keep thinking I don't need to buy much but actually I do need quite a bit. I think I'll have a mooch on Amazon.

birds yes my nesting is usually pretty useless (sweeping the garage floor on hands and knees last time!). Still the front door was properly nasty before :) I'm glad it went ok with your colleague.

IBelieveInPink · 28/09/2013 00:43

Anyone else developed weird insomnia as they've got further along?! I am so tired most days, but as soon as I am supposed to be sleeping - it doesn't happen!! What's this about?

Penguinita · 28/09/2013 07:22

Hi ladies, mind if I join you? I've been lurking in the limbo between the posifrickingtivity conception thread and this one, trying to pluck up the courage to graduate. But I can see several familiar names from the conception thread here, so it feels friendly!

I'm 5 weeks today, and swinging between sheer delight and sheer terror. I had an MC at ten weeks in May, with a slightly complex diagnosis (first doctor said it was an MMC and the baby had died at six weeks, the second said it was a suspected ectopic and stuck me full of needles for weeks - long story)

I love the title - batshit crazy is a perfect description of me right now. I've been awake since 6am because I had a dream that I went to the loo and was bleeding. So I had to get up and check it wasn't true. My heart goes out to the girls with spotting, so scary Flowers Really hope all is well.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 28/09/2013 08:08

Hi penguin and welcome.
Pink I've always had insomnia but it's worse at the moment, I can literally be up all night but I just want to sleep during he day. It's like my body clock has flipped.

Woken up today feeling really sick, I know breakfast will help but I have nothing in the house, I was meant to go shopping yesterday but was too tired and now I'm feeling too sick.

Has anyone got really sensitive teeth at the moment? My teeth just hurt all the time. I have a dentist appointment in 2 weeks but there isn't much they can do whilst pregnant is there :( all in all feeling really lousy today.

Lieslvontrapp · 28/09/2013 08:29

Snot only just caught up and want to say a bug congrats on the twins! That's lovely news!

Welcome pengiunita and congrats on the bfp!

fod & black hope your ok and can put your feet up this wkend.

Off to get ready for some shopping to buy some pink outfits!

Tomkat79 · 28/09/2013 08:33

Hi penguin yes come and join us, lots of hand holding here.

Dreams feel so real at the moment don't they? Like proper vivid.

8 week re-assurance scan at 11-45....tempted to cancel the bloody thing am almost too terrified!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 28/09/2013 09:08

Don't cancel tom, it'll be ok.

BirdsDoIt · 28/09/2013 09:10

penguinita congratulations, I remember you from the ttc thread! Great to see you here and hope the anxiety isn't doing your head in too much - we'll be here to hold your hand!

tomkat good luck for this morning! I had exactly the same thing of wanting to cancel my 12 week scan when I woke up that morning but I was glad I went Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/09/2013 09:16

Thanks for the supportive words ladies penguin I remember you!!!! Congrats! Really pleased for you!

I have had all the symptoms, sensitive teeth, bleeding gums, weird dreams, sleeping at funny dreams etc

kjh5 · 28/09/2013 11:33

Welcome Penguinita fab to see you here Grin - this thread is fab and we're all available for hand-holding and reassurance any time you need it. The first few weeks are the worst but just remember today you are pregnant!

Cbeebies you really must eat something. I had the most awful MS bang on 8 weeks and decided I was too ill I eat. It made things worse. Forcing down some mini cheddars or crackers eventually helped me as vile as it was to do so.

Bump I had the same problem as you at about 8 weeks - I think as long as you don't itch/smell you're ok. Hope you are taking it easy, please try not to panic too much.

We're off on holiday to Devon today. Needless to say the weather is gorgeous in London and it's pudding down there for the rest of the week! So happy I'm not at work for the week though! I nearly had to pack our kitten in my handbag though - was heartbroken to leave him at home, which is ridiculous! I'm blaming pregnancy hormones for the tears!

shellsocks · 28/09/2013 11:45

Welcome and congrats penguin Smile

Hey fod and blackberry hope you are having an uneventful Saturday and not stressing too much Smile

bump we needed much more than I thought...we also needed a monitor for DS room as baby will have the movement and sounds one and a new steriliser cos ours was second hand and a bit grotty. Once you add in all the consumables like maternity pads it all adds up Smile

pink I always wake up at bed time, think it's harks back to my party days, was always the last man standing Wink and I just love night time, not great when you have a baby tho Grin

Good luck tom Smile

And yes to the dreamsHmm I have had almost constant Braxton hicks since yesterday morning and was stuck on the toilet (TMI!) and feeling sick last night and today so am stupidly worrying the baby will come cos my parents are away till Monday so couldn't have DS and DH would want his parents to have him and I couldn't
cope with the stress of that and early labour....dreamt abt it all night was crazy! Worked myself up into a state over something that's not even likely Confused Aaaggghhh!

Tomkat79 · 28/09/2013 12:40

Well bugger me a nice healthy bean measuring 1 week more than I thought. 9 + 2 :-)

Pentagon · 28/09/2013 13:33

yay, tom that's wonderful! Great news!

fod and black I hope you are both OK

welcome penguin and congratulations! The first trimester is a nightmare for anyone who's had a MC/MMC/ectopic but you'll find plenty of support here.

shell how are you feeling? I hope the braxton hicks and sickness have gone by now

Enjoy Devon kjh5!

BirdsDoIt · 28/09/2013 14:24

Yay tom that's brilliant news! Bet you're glad you went now!! And a week closer to the 12 week mark than you thought! Are able to adjust the date for your 12 week scan or will that stay the same? (I know they say it's the 11-13 week scan so I guess it will probably be the same...)

Have fun in Devon kjh - if it helps it's raining in London right now!

shellsocks hope you're feeling better this morning x

GardenWorm · 28/09/2013 14:29

Congrats Tom! X

Pink I think the insomnia is natures way of preparing you for sleepless/interrupted nights. Imagine how pooh you would feel if you had been sleeping like a baby for 8 hrs to then have it totally disrupted by a new born. Nature is quite clever Smile

Tomkat79 · 28/09/2013 14:35

Haven't actually got booking in apt until Wednesday, earliest apt I could get so sonographer told me I need to ensure I get in for a scan between 11-13 weeks. Just trying to work out when I conceived...must've been a random bit of bd on about cd 7....no wonder hadn't got preggo before as only really DTD during what I thought was peak shagging week lol....but yes very glad I went!

Sun is shining and really warm in Norwich...I'll send some down birds x

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 28/09/2013 15:12

great scan news tom!! and welcome penguin :)

pink i'm wit you with the insomnia. i'm always such a good sleeper but currently i am zombie by day and wide awake by night. seems i'm not the only one that wakes up at about 4.30am and can't get back to sleep. doesn't help that dh is a light sleeper so tuts at me for tossing and turning oops.

kjh, hope you have a lovely holiday

i've spent the whole day searching for our cat who has gone missing :( i really really miss him and am really worried about him as he never goes far. he's been gone since yesterday morning which is totally out of character. had a mega weep this morning :(

Tomkat79 · 28/09/2013 15:17

Aww janie he'll come home I'm sure. Horrible when they go for days. Ours went AWOL for 5 days before and then strolled in like nothing had happened. Hope he turns up soon x

AIBU to be a little miffed at the What To Expext When Youre Expecting App?
So far, in the highly entertaining 'thus week your baby is as big as' section we have had 'blueberry', 'plum', 'nectarine...
What did we get this week we ask?...
A TURNIP! Shock

Of all the healthy vegetarian comestibles in the world, this was the best they could come up with! Hmm Confused
what next? A kohl rhabi? A beetroot? Your baby is as big as a mangel wurzel?
