HMT - Yay! Go you. Jeez you must be so tired. Well done chick. xx

Cute - I felt anxious, now I feel totally exhausted. Very strange. I've kind of resigned myself to not having him naturally at home now. There's no signs at all.

I'm trying to be zen but I know when he starts trying to turn again I'll be back in a sobbing heap telling dh this is the last time lol.

StormBird · 18/11/2013 19:27

see this is what you 1st time mums are in for. ds did a poo mid post and then whilst I changed his bum, finished it off for me lol Grin

sorry bout that Grin

artyone · 18/11/2013 19:30

HMT13 Congratulations! Sounds like a long wait, hope you have some good newborn snuggles now.

Cute That sounds promising, hopefully something is happening now!

I'm now 40+2, still no signs at all, can have a sweep in a week. Tonight I've had curry for dinner and am going to jump DH later in the hope it helps.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 18/11/2013 19:32

LuckySocks13 · 18/11/2013 21:37

Hi all. Baby is due on the 23rd. Think I have been loosing some waters since about 4.30pm. No other signs though so guess just wait and see what's going on?!

BummyMummy77 · 18/11/2013 21:39

None of that crap works.

I've been doing all of it constantly for two weeks lol.

Bless dh, he's been coming out with some weird stuff and when I went to borrow his iPad see that he's been googling "how to cheer up your overdue wife".

He bought me a canvas and some paints and told me to use all of the raging emotions to do a lovely pre birth painting. I painted 'fuck off' and an angry face, may try to do some more tonight.

He's also buying a bottle of wine and making fondue and we're going to have a 'pretend you're not pregnant' dinner. He's told me to wear high heels and put some false eyelashes on. Fuck only knows what website he's been looking at! Website for pregnant prostitutes by the sound of it haha.

It may work, I can see the midwife turning up at 2am while I'm a bit tipsy, have a fake eyelash halfway down my cheek and smell cheesy.

Any progress for anyone?

BummyMummy77 · 18/11/2013 21:40

Oh, crossed posted, fingers crossed cute!

LuckySocks13 · 18/11/2013 22:03

Bummy Mummy your post has made me lol. Hope it works :)

ems1910 · 18/11/2013 22:54

Thanks Storm for asking, all ok here, still got backache but not as severe. Query UTI :/ Midwife happy with movements and I can have a sweep next week on my due date! :o)

Congratulations HMT! x

ems1910 · 18/11/2013 22:56

Welcome Janie and Lucky!

BummyMummy77 · 18/11/2013 23:20

You have a UTI? Urg. Not good right now. Drink lots of coconut water. Works for me.

Welcome Janie and Lucky. :)

StormBird · 18/11/2013 23:32

strong period type cramps going on here. can't seem to sleep through them and the pain is mainly in my back Shock

BummyMummy77 · 19/11/2013 00:06

Sounds good Storm! Hope it's not a false alarm.

X

ems1910 · 19/11/2013 00:20

Ooo Storm. Hope this is it!

Bummy, have had a whole carton of cranberry this eve to try and relieve the pain, should get results back tomorrow or the next day! But the cranberry gives me heartburn lol! :/

CuteLittleToes · 19/11/2013 01:52

Waters broke at about 10pm, went to hospital to get checked. Was having some contractions, but they were not strong enough, so back home now. They are getting much more painful now. Took some paracetamol and trying to rest/get some sleep now... Can't believe I'm in labour...

BummyMummy77 · 19/11/2013 01:58

That's great Cute! Keep us updated, I have my fingers crossed for a nice, safe, fast delivery. :)

EMS, I used to get them every few months. Misery. Just drink more water than you think possible, flush it out. A bath may help for the pain.

StormBird · 19/11/2013 05:36

ooooh cute......you could be in full blown labour by now. good luck hun.

ems...sorry to hear about the uti...what a bitch. flush it out like bummy said. Thanks

still very uncomfortable here but have managed to sleep through most of it (hence no midnight posting). the pain is still mainly in my back and hips so could very well mean nothing but I'm hoping its doing something. I'm gonna drop my sprog to the childminder this morning and go shoe shopping Shock Grin . a good old walk will hopefully help. even I think this is a bit brave though.

StormBird · 19/11/2013 05:41

posted too soon.....

bummy...how are you feeling hun?

artyone and pinkparsnips....any progression?

x

BummyMummy77 · 19/11/2013 12:01

Storm - so it's gone off again? Urg. Go shoe shopping I say.

How's everyone else doing?

Nothing last night. Not a friggin bean! Midwife comes today, will have a good moan at her.

I'm a lot happier now he's stopped trying to turn. For a couple of days the pain was unbearable and threw everything out of perspective.

I'm going to watch a whole series of sons of anarchy today (has anyone SEEN that Charlie Hunnam guy?! He runs around with his shirt off beating people up yet being sensitive- I think I love him) and try to make a cushion.

StormBird · 19/11/2013 20:40

bummy....how did you get on with the midwife???

went into the town centre and did my shopping...the high street is a mahoosive big hill so I walked up and down it twice...went home had lunch and went back out for another walk round the next town centre along! I'M KNACKERED! Hmm

haven't had any signs today so I'm now in bed watching the telly with clary sage burning away next to me. heard alot of mixed reviews about this stuff so decided against direct contact with it. I'll let you know if it helps

x

BummyMummy77 · 19/11/2013 20:52

Did you get any shoes Storm? It's SO disheartening when you walk loads, nothing happens and you're just knackered with a back ache. My midwife has told me to stop if I'm not comfortable. She says I should be sleeping and eating right now.

Midwife came today, she says I'm definitely having contractions, I thought it was him flexing his legs lots. She says she's happy to send me for a scan but his heart rate is fine and he's moving lots so she suggests we wait until Monday then do a sweep. Then if that doesn't work, castor oil, then hospital.

Does clary sage smell nice? It's the one thing I haven't tried lol!
