StormBird · 16/11/2013 18:02

well done and congrats angusThanks

BummyMummy77 · 16/11/2013 18:02

Congrats Angus!! Do you have a name yet?

artyone · 17/11/2013 09:51

Congrats Angus Thanks

Still no signs of labour here. 40+1 and getting no sleep due to hip pains so I would quite like baby to show up now before I become so sleep deprived I have no energy at all.

CuteLittleToes · 17/11/2013 10:49

Congrats Angus!

Got some mild period like cramps this morning, very mild and not painful, and I'm sure I had them before. Will update if any progress but I don't think this is it.

Off to do some hoovering Grin

BummyMummy77 · 17/11/2013 12:34

Fingers crossed Toes.

I'm torn between going for a long walk and not wanting to tire myself out.

Seriously considering castor oil at this point. :(

CuteLittleToes · 17/11/2013 13:28

Cramps didn't turn into anything, and hoovering gave a lot of back pain Confused

I wouldn't recommend castor oil. Have heard not very good stories regarding labour complications and it causing baby to pass meconium...

ems1910 · 17/11/2013 13:48

Congratulations Angus!

BummyMummy77 · 17/11/2013 13:59

That's the problem, anything but lying down makes my back fall apart then I'm just miserable.

I'm just really hoping he comes soon or it will be the castor oil. Rather that than $50,000 upwards and a mean obgyn.

ems1910 · 17/11/2013 14:06

Constant backache all day, few mild cramps this morning. Midwife happy to visit if needed.

Am hoping the backache is a sign!

Bummy, a walk may help, just take it easy when you return...no castor oil! X

artyone · 17/11/2013 14:32

Bummy I feel for you, I hope he comes soon so you don't need to be induced.

We get induced at 40+12 here so I have 11 days to go if mine doesn't make an appearance.

StormBird · 18/11/2013 03:21

hi ladies...cute and ems...any news?? (bet you're sick of people asking that!)

arty...i hope the hoovering helped Smile

bummy Shock $50,000 to be induced Shock wtf!! that's ridiculous. I didn't realise that it would amount to that. makes me feel a bit spoilt by the nhsHmm . does insurance not cover the cost? I hope things start moving for you soon hun.

I'm awake yet again in the middle of the god damn night for no real reason other than needing a giant donkey piss Grin . no signs baby is going to come before her due date other than the odd sharp twinge. all gunk when wiping has tailed off to a disappointing nothing. I've been keeping very active though to try and help things along but I'm feeling a bit disheartened at 39+4, especially when everyone has been so adamant that its unlikely we'd be overdue 2nd time around. I actually feel bored with it all now! I know it could all kick off at anytime but I hate not being in control or at least knowing an itinerary is in place and will be stuck to lol! Grin .

StormBird · 18/11/2013 03:22

sorry arty just realised it was cute doing the hooveringBlush

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 07:31

Due date today!

Storm hoovering only gave me nasty backache... Had some crampy backache when I went to bed too, was even considering taking some paracetamol and was getting a bit excited but eventually it disappeared. How far along were you when you had your first, Storm?

Woke up as DP was getting ready to work, feeling really hungry... Just had some yoghurt and Waitrose choc tiffin in bed Grin will try to fall back to sleep now...

Anyone had any new overnight developments?

StormBird · 18/11/2013 08:15

hi cute. funny you say the hoovering gave you chronic back ache....i did the whole house yesterday with the same outcome. it wad def not labour related it just frickin hurt!!

I was 41+3 (or 40+10 whichever way you look at it). I just went with whatever I was told first time round but now I know better. ds ended up 10lb 4oz and 60cm long when he finally arrived, needless to say we ended up in theatre being preped for a cs. if the ventous didn't work! it did! on the 3rd and final attempt, however I do not want to go through that again and I swear that if I hadn't have raged at the midwives (exorcist styley) then they would've let me just continue to struggle to get him out by myself. in truth I went effing mental Blush !!

PinkParsnips · 18/11/2013 11:59

Hi everyone!

I haven't posted on here in a while, been feeling a bit grumpy!! Grin

Huge congratulations to everyone who's babies have arrived!

I'm 41+1 today Confused had one unsuccessful sweep on Friday and another one this morning. Induction is booked for Friday but the good news is apparently I'm already 2cm dilated and fully effaced which midwife said is great to say its dc1 and I've had no pains really! Am hoping that means everything should get moving soon. Had my show this morning too.

Fingers crossed for everyone

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 12:15

Oh wow Storm well done! Never heard of baby being 60cm... I bet you didn't bother with newborn sizes Wink

That's very good news Parsnips, hope something starts to happen soon!

Feeling very hungry today... and feel I could sleep all day too...

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 13:05

OK, just had some brownish discharge... There wasn't a lot, but it's definitely not usual discharge... is that mucus plug??

StormBird · 18/11/2013 13:24

it's possible cute....was it snotty (iyswim)Hmm

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 13:34

A little bit, but it wasn't a lot. I googled some pictures (oh what wonderful pictures! Grin) and it wasn't a big blob like on some of them, just a bit of brownish snot... like after blowing your nose? Grin I think if it is my plug, it's just a part of it...

Also had more looser bowels second time today (not diarrhoea though)...

All of this is so TMI, but as many people say there's no such thing as TMI when you talk to fellow pregnant ladies Grin

My DP is insisting my bump seems to be lower, but I'm not so sure. Baby was 1/5 engaged at 38+4 check up, although I still can feel his/her bum and feet in my ribs...

Oh well, we'll see if anything happens... I don't really expect anything to happen over the next few days anyway...

StormBird · 18/11/2013 13:59

nope no such thing as tmi Grin . lots of womens plugs come away in bits rather than big globs. we dtd this morning Blush and I've just started to get clear snotty stuff when I wipe again, could be nothing though!

oh the joys!!!Hmm

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 14:29

Had some blood when I whiped... not sure what to do? Nothing on pad, but it was quite bright on the tissue... bloody show? Should I call the hospital?

BummyMummy77 · 18/11/2013 14:49

Storm - it's $50,000 upwards for a c section and the obgyn I'd have to go to has something like an 90% rate for Mums past their due date that are induced. :( And I didn't have insurance.

Congrats on everyone's mucous! I've never wished for snotty stuff coming out of my moomin so much in my life.

I had a complete melt down last night and this morning. I think I must have cried for 8 hours straight. He just feels too BIG. I'm going to get a scan Wednesday and may ask them to induce. I feel like me being this distressed and miserable is not going be good for him.

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 15:16

OK, now my blood is turning a bit brown and have some on my pad too. Also when I wiped had some snotty stuff in there too. Called the hospital and they said it does sound like bloody show, and if baby moving ok and it's not dripping bright red like a nosebleed then that's fine...

Was a bit freaked out concerned that baby stopped moving for about half an hour, but now started again...

Feeling restless now, can't stop walking in circles around the house...

Bummy I felt very emotional and teary for the last couple of days too - I've read it could be a sign of things happening soon... I hope it does for you Flowers

HMT13 · 18/11/2013 15:36

Well after a very long labour (52 hours from start to finish) I have my baby boy! So worth it! Will keep an eye on your developments ladies, good luck! Smile

CuteLittleToes · 18/11/2013 15:42

Congrats HMT! Flowers
