Oh poor u! I'll be tearing my hair out by then!! Hope things get moving. Have you booked in to be induced? And have you had a sweep? I've got one booked on weds (hoping not to make it that far!)

HMT13 · 15/11/2013 14:14

A sweep on weds - not an induction.

TwoTearsInABucket · 15/11/2013 14:43

Hey bummy hang in there.
Good luck everyone!
We are home now, yay. Eddie is 7lb 6oz and is now feeding, hurray!

GreenGiant3 · 15/11/2013 15:17

Hi everyone,

After my last up date When I had my waters broken I gave birth to my beautiful son at 7.06am ! He weighed 8pounds 14ounces.

My labour was amazing, and very much pain free, I was only pushing for 8 minutes and didn't tear!! Smile We were our the hospital by 1pm, so nice quick discharge! I would do it all again tomorrow! Grin

Just enjoying having our beautiful baby boy home, he's so perfect I couldn't be happier!! ThanksThanks

TwoTearsInABucket · 15/11/2013 15:40

Congratulations green, great news xx

BummyMummy77 · 15/11/2013 15:48

Congrats GREEN! I'm all teary now.

Two tears, I love the name Eddie, it's my favourite brother's name. :)

HMT13 - no sweeps, inductions or anything. Homebirth. Going rapidly off the bloody idea. They won't induce until the 28th. If I go till then I'll be a nervous wreck lol! I'm sure you'll have him/her before Weds. (Finger's crossed).

It's so weird, in so much pain yesterday and last night then at 12am it stopped completely and I got the best nights sleep I've had in months. Really odd. It's like my body knew 7 hours sleep in 3 days just wouldn't see my through labour and gave me a break.

Pains coming back now. Blugh.

StormBird · 15/11/2013 16:23

congrats green. Grin

bummy....holding your hand! I had dc1 at 40+10 I remember the wait. it was infuriating!! but he was worth it. chin up and keep venting on hereWink .

the wait is prob why I'm so determined not to go overdue this time round Angry .

read my pg notes last night and in the engaged column it said 4/5ths which cheered me up....until I realised that it said 4/5ths palpable which in theory means only 1/5th engaged. it really annoyed me....i couldn't get to sleep!!

had a bit of retail therapy this morning then on to the park for a very long brisk walk with ds and sil.sil happened to say that star jumps might help so I did 5 in the park and wet myselfConfused Blush ! it wasn't my water's!!!Angry

StormBird · 15/11/2013 16:26

forgot to say however....since said brisk walk (TMI ALERT) I've had a bit of gunk when I wipe. its clear but snotty.....i was overjoyed I text dp to tell him lolGrin

HMT13 · 15/11/2013 16:43

How far on are you stormbird? I lost my plug on weds night and more on Thursday. I was so excited! Just had a long dog walk and actually feel the best I've felt in ages. Hoping my body is giving me a break before it all gets going!?
Maybe that's why you had such a good sleep bummy? Hoping it will happen for u tonight! Good luck with the home birth, I'm sure all will be fine.
Another Friday night bouncing on my gym ball...

HMT13 · 15/11/2013 16:45

And congratulations greengiant! That sounds like such a perfect birth Smile

CuteLittleToes · 15/11/2013 16:59

Congrats Green! Really happy you had such a nice birth!

Bummy I hope the stop start labour and then good night's sleep was your body gearing up for the big event! Hang in there, no one has ever been pregnant forever Grin

So exciting some of you are losing plugs and getting contractions. I just get random BHs...

Went for a very slow walk and now my back and hips are just killing me...

Last night discovered I got stretch marks Confused They are not that bad tbh, and I know they will fade, but I guess I just didn't expect them to happen... No idea why I was so surprised, especially as I do have some teenage growth stretch marks on my sides already Grin

Also (TMI alert!) decided to trim my garden yesterday, as it was getting out of hand... Whilst doing that managed to poke myself with scissors... It hurt less than I thought it would, but I didn't expect it to bleed so much! Shock

StormBird · 15/11/2013 18:00

HMT13 I'm 39+1. due next Thursday 21st. trying everything to make her have the same standard if time keeping as her mother and not her father Grin

cute - my hips are hurting now too, I'm hoping any kind of discomfort is a good sign.

x

ems1910 · 15/11/2013 18:20

Heavy discharge this after but not really show like. Had 'the arse' all day and tightening/pain while walking around the city centre from about 4.

In the bath now to ease them, fairly sure it's just practising!

HMT13 · 15/11/2013 18:52

Ah not long to go then!

Hope you all manage a comfortable (ish) night or at least get things started!

CuteLittleToes · 15/11/2013 20:35

I think I'm having sciatic pain now... shooting all the way down my hip Sad

BummyMummy77 · 15/11/2013 22:41

Thanks guys. NOTHING now. All day. Ug!

Storm that's hilarious. If I did a star jump now my hips would pop out of joint, I'd throw up and I'd be in a&e within five minutes. Let alone peeing myself.

These bloody pains are a nuisance aren't they?!

Although I had a good moan to my midwife and she said to remember that every pain does a bit more of the work and gets you a bit closer.

I'm not sure if she's not just saying it to stop me going nuts and checking myself into hospital for a lovely induction with lovely drugs.

HMT13 · 16/11/2013 04:11

Just a quick update. My waters broke at midnight. Went to get checked and was sent home and told to sleep. Induction booked for Sunday but contractions have started. Seem to be every 5 mins lying down so got up now to try and ease things.
Midwife has told me to hold off going in until I basically can't cope with the pain any longer, she said not to worry about contraction times? Does this sound right?

artyone · 16/11/2013 07:56

Hello everyone.

I'm due today and fed up. No signs of labour at all. :(

ems1910 · 16/11/2013 09:01

Hmt, I would say to be timing them if they are that regular, seems odd for her to say but I'm not a mw lol! Hope you are progressing well.

I've had more pains overnight. Waves of pain from about 5am. Midwife has cancelled as at a birth but is aware of pains. Said it could be head moving down. Have taken paracetamol and going to rest as much as possible.

HMT13 · 16/11/2013 09:21

They've gone a bit more sporadic now but getting more painful.
Hope yours is the start of something!
Will start timing though Smile

BummyMummy77 · 16/11/2013 11:10

Def start timing. Go with your gut instinct I say. Excited for you! See how long they last too.

Good luck to you too EMS!

Welcome everyone else. :)

Nothing here over night. NOTHING. It's getting me down now, moving closer to two weeks. :/

HMT13 · 16/11/2013 12:20

Averaging about 6 mins apart lasting 40-60 secs.
Need to have 3 in 10 mins or not be able to cope to go into hospital. Tired already, feel like there's a long way to go...

StormBird · 16/11/2013 12:36

good luck ladies. Grin Thanks

BummyMummy77 · 16/11/2013 13:13

I'm sorry hmt. At least things are moving though.

And remember, each one gets you closer to the end. :)
