Pregnant and Angry Women

I think I must be going mad ... has anyone felt like this during their pregnancy ?? Instead of either having serene and sedately thoughts, or even getting teary and emotional, my emotions are completely the opposite. I tend to get very angry and annoyed with everything, getting riled easily and being argumentive. For example, last week for no real reason I wanted to jab my work colleague sitting next to me with some chopsticks. This is very very unlike me. I hope these feelings won't dictate the baby's personality.

Tell me am I going a bit nutty here?

I was thinking about restarting this thread too actually. The other day I was a really classy angry pregnant lady.

I was on the tube at 7 in the morning on my way to work (hence bad mood already), I had just got on the doors were shutting, then some tw*t ran and stuck his hands in the door. He then stood there inanely smiling down the platform in the direction of the driver, who made no attempt to re-open the doors. He wasn't going anywhere, the train wasn't going anywhere, most importantly, nor was I!

So I took action, went over to the doors, slapped his hands like a toddler in the biscuit jar and told him 'stop being so f*ucking stupid, just wait for the next one!' He snatched his hands away pretty quickly! Stood there for a while feeling sorry for myslef for not getting a seat, then figured I probably sounded so rude and crass no-one thought I deserved a one!

lol flossam!! Fantastic!! I was thinking, following my garage incident that perhaps this is the real reason it is suggested we don't drive in later pregnancy but I'm not sure we can be trusted on public transport either!!

Beansprout - that sounds blood boiling, how did it resolve?

Twinkie · 22/07/2004 15:21

Flossam I would have given you my seat even though I am preggers too just for your sheer audacity - Good On You!!

Was resolved in that I got in my car, did a scary reverse and screech manouvre and left with all the dignity that my current size/shape, not to mention a near flat tyre would allow.

So, not very much then.

Fortunately the flat tyre was on the passenger side as, current size being what it is, I may not have made it at all, but as it was, there was a sort of balance to it all (ish).

Bean, I'm impressed you actually wanted to check tyre pressure - I've never done it, and not likely to now bending down is so uncomfortable. Last time I was pregnant, I drove into a traffic island and got a flat tyre at the top of my street - which is too close to home to qualify for emergency assistance, had to fork out for Kwikfit. basically found my sense of distance went out the window in the later stages of pregnancy...

oh beansprout.... sorry that you had to encounter such divs....

i had a little rant.... pulling out of parent with pram parking spot - can not see anything as I have two large 4x4 beside me .... manage to get almost all the way out when some young woman in a car comes screaming up - she can clearly see me reversing - stops behind my car as she wanted a space near me and could not turn in thanks to me.... proceeds to abuse me - could not hear exactly what she said - due to radio and windows up but the lip reading helped ... screeches in reverse back up the lane, tells me to get out of her way.... so I reverse out... she then screeches into my space...... whilst I am made to wait for her to get out of my way....

I then see she has neither child nor pram... - and as I had dd in the car did not want to tell her to piss off and stop being such a cow.... so I politely wound my window down and asked if she had forgotten something or was she just illiterate.... smiled sweetly and drove off to see her looking at me with a stupid look on her face..... perhaps she did not see the huge red sign that says parents with prams.....

very proud of my control.... dh was most surprised....
