Kitty how many weeks are you?
How much spotting is it and has it continued after first time or was it a one off? Are you feeling anything else ie cramps?
I know it's impossible but don't panic!

MotherOfCleo · 15/09/2013 14:55

Hi Kitty, am I right in thinking you're about 5 weeks? Implantation bleed would be most fitting, that little bean could just be nestling in all nice and snug! Do you have cramps? An what colour/heaviness is the spotting. Brownish/pinky spotting without cramps is usually ok as its old blood.

As far as I know spotting early on is really REALLY common and is usually nothing to worry about, sit tight and try not to panic stupid thing to say I know.

Try to sit down and give yourself a rest this arvo. FX it stops soon and all is fine. Thinking of you.

Boomgoestheweasel · 15/09/2013 17:00

kitty just seen this. How are you now? Can only echo what everyone else is saying, spotting is so common and usually not indicative of anything negative. Sure all the reassurance isn't helping you much at the moment though, just hope it stops soon! Xxx

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 17:04

bellisima I think I'm 4+4

mother no cramps and its brown and small in amount. Has been happening for about 6 hours but doesn't seem to be getting worse. Did have a darker pg test line this morning

I think I just needed some reassurance as didn't realise implantation could happen this late.

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 17:06

boom feeling ok and messages are actually reassuring, thanks

kat that's good to know as you've had scans since which have confirmed everything is ok haven't you? How many weeks are you? X

MotherOfCleo · 15/09/2013 19:16

Kitty yeah I think it can implant a bit deeper which can cause a bit of blood or sometimes they simply cant tell where the blood came from. sometimes I think mother nature just likes to be a bitch and scare you!

I think if it is painfree and only a small amount of brown you are pretty safe. Thinking of you though as I know your mind is probably thinking all sorts! A darker line is definitely a good sign too!

Thanks mother think I just kept panicking it was going to develop into darker blood. Was thinking if going back to the gym soon but it's made me rethink things and I've frozen my membership for a bit. Thanks for all the reassurance, should warn you, you're going to have a stress head on your hands!!!

MotherOfCleo · 15/09/2013 21:16

Happy to help kitty! You are not alone, I had convinced myself I was having a chemical as my line wasnt getting dark enough quick enough, I was honestly preparing for the worst when actually everything was fine. So I know what crazy tricks your mind can play!

I think what you have sounds fairly common, fingers crossed the spotting buggers off soon and bubs is doing well in there.

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/09/2013 21:21

Late to provide reassurance but a wise old berry once said (think consultant had told her) that implantation isn't a day it's a process over a number of weeks up until the placenta is formed. Any part of this process can disturb the lining of the womb and cause spotting, hence brown/pink spotting being so common over the first 12 weeks.
Hope you're feeling a bit calmer

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 21:29

kat feeling much better thanks. Think it's stopped anyway fx. My scan will be at 6+6 so hopefully they'll actually be able to see something

Boomgoestheweasel · 16/09/2013 06:20

Glad it stopped kitty! Sounds like it was just one of those worry inducing random bleeds that mean nothing. Let's hope your body is kind to you and doesn't freak you out any more.

Well today is 8+3 here, so I'm past the dreaded 8+2 (end of the road last time), and could hear at least one heartbeat this morning. Even though I know it doesn't mean everything's going to be ok, I feel so much better to be past that date with a happy baby on board! Grin Grin Plus I appear to be getting fatter , I know bumps pop earlier with twins but 8 wks and considering mat jeans...really?!

Hope we all have a good week this week ladies! Xxx

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 06:46

Get ready to get BIG boom!!!! Grin

Boomgoestheweasel · 16/09/2013 06:55

kitty am going to be a house!! Mind you, you're in the firing line for twins too so you might be joining me in swelling to epic proportions Grin

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 07:56

boom there's a pic on the brookers fb of someone with twins...she's HUGE Grin

Just told dh that you're showing already and you're only 8 weeks and he said 'so are you!' and stroked my muffin top! Bad dh!!!

Boomgoestheweasel · 16/09/2013 08:29

Hahaha your dh sounds funny, even if he is a cheeky sod!

I googled some pics of twin bumps....aargh they're enormous! Hello even more stretchmarks Hmm. Still, they'll be worth it.

When's your scan then?

Thundercatsarego · 16/09/2013 10:34

kitty I'm really pleased that the spotting has stopped and you are feeling calmer.

And breaaaaatttthhhhhheeeeeeeeee

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 12:56

thunder it's back again but it's still only like brownish discharge and not much of it.

boom he 'thinks' he is funny!!! Scan is 1st oct...counting the days!

PoppySeedBun · 16/09/2013 14:21

kitty I've had quite a bit of brown discharge so far. - for like a week at a time - but no red, and all has been fine. I had a good scan on Weds with heartbeat.

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/09/2013 14:36

Kitty - I'm another one who had a lot of brown discharge early on, both pre bfp and for a few weeks after.

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 20:14

Ok that does make me feel better...that and doing yet another test this am (number 10). Roll on scan!!!! Grin

PoppySeedBun · 16/09/2013 20:30

Oh dear, kitty sounds like your stick addiction is getting a bit chronic Grin
Seriously, whatever helps get you through. It's one day at a time for all of us.
boom congrats on getting past your milestone date. I feel better for getting past 6 wks (when it stopped last time) but will be a bit better still when I get to next week and 10 wks (when MMC actually started last time).

Currently enjoying the joy of mash :) trouble with feeling nauseous is that I know I need to eat to keep it at bay, but never feel like eating anything until I have. Confused It's all scrambling my brain somewhat, not to mention trying DH's patience Smile. Still, just a tiny bit grateful that I still feel sick.

Boomgoestheweasel · 16/09/2013 22:14

Yeah, my MMC was 10wk too poppy, think the big sigh of relief will only happen at the 12wk scan!

I've been feeling really disgusting today, which I'm grumpy about and relieved about in equal measures.. Current food of choice: soba noodles and soy sauce Grin
