Umm, 4boys, congratulations on your new arrival but I'm not sure you're posting in the right thread? This is a thread for anxious first timers in early pregnancy after struggling to conceive!

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/09/2013 20:55

Ha ha ha

PoppySeedBun · 13/09/2013 21:31

Hey boom - congrats on completing your course - you'll have to be the wise voice of experience for the rest of us Grin
tally glad to hear that scan was ok and that you're still around but so sorry you're having such a miserable time Sad was going to say I've had a rough couple of days but nothing compared to you. I really hope things improve for you soon.
Right, off for a weekend at my parents this for a family birthday. Was hoping to keep it quiet for another few weeks but if I have to keep running off to throw up, I think that might be a bit tricky Confused

Oh speaking of posting in the wrong thread... Yesterday, I posted to boom about being so lucky having access to a Doppler and that the rest of us would have to buy one from Argos (including a link).... and then I realised it was in an infertility thread (not even the Berries thread) EPIC POST FAIL!!!!!!

BlindKitty · 14/09/2013 07:18

glad you're out of hospital bud but rubbish that you're still unwell. You might want to pop over to the other thread though as peeps are starting to worry! Smile

haycorn · 14/09/2013 07:21

Hello berries, glad that you are still hanging on in there Tally, even if it does sound miserable at the moment. As the days go by I seem to be getting more anxious rather than less, so I'm just popping in to say that I am going to take a break from MN for a wee while in a bid to try and stop my obsessing! I hope you are all doing well, catch up with you all soon when I'm feeling a bit stronger!

Boomgoestheweasel · 14/09/2013 07:47

haycorn I read that as taking a break for a wee! Hope you feel better soon, looking forward to having you back xx

kitty ha epic fail! At least if you posted to me it was obviously a mistake.. Hope they forgave you!

kat haha 4 more, maybe if we start to diff so easily that we don't notice until 22 weeks Hmm

BlindKitty · 14/09/2013 08:16

Guys, question...at what stage did you start to feel pregnant? I think I honestly did have a bug on tues/wed as feel absolutely fine now! Do feel bad for going to work now and potentially giving it to all my patients but just assumed it was how you felt when you were pg as it happened the same day I found out!

Thundercatsarego · 14/09/2013 08:55

blind I don't feel pregnant now and I'm 13+2. Just mostly feel ropey and bloated and like I'm making it all up. So in answer to your comment on the other thread, if you man up at all, it would be wayyyy more manly than me! In my early days there was no helicopter so I mainly just hid under my duvet. I still haven't got brave enough to go to the grads thread....

hay sorry to hear you're feeling anxious. I really know how that feels. You do what you need to do lady.

tally I don't expect you're reading this as screen are your enemy but just to say loads of positive thoughts from over here and good luck for your scan. Have you passed previous mc milestones yet?

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/09/2013 08:55

It felt more real when the sickness kicked in but honestly, I still don't feel pregnant and I'm wondering when it will sink in!

Boomgoestheweasel · 14/09/2013 09:09

Kitty I'm nowhere near feeling pregnant, I'm sure the whole thing's made up and at my next scan they'll tell me I dreamed it all. I do feel just exhausted, I struggle to climb stairs and do basic stuff without feeling winded and shaky. But maybe I'm just unfit...Hmm

I did get my date through for the nuchal scan though...15 Oct, so I'll be 12+4 (which just seems like a stupidly big number)

Feeling particularly nervous this week, I know everything stopped at around 8+2 last time and currently I'm 8+1. Argh.

Merk I thought you were in maternity jeans, surely elasticated waists must = feeling pregnant!

Thunder I'm certain your pregnancy is going faster than mine! 13 weeks Grin

MotherOfCleo · 14/09/2013 09:14

Guys fret not about not feeling pregnant, most of the time I still don't feel any different. I never got the 'wow I feel pregnant' day, or week. I've never really had any symptoms which I think is part of the reason.

The only times I really feel different is when I have to get up out of bed - that is far harder and less dignified than it used to be - or when I take the dog for a long walk and end up knackered, or of course when he boots me from inside.

An I'm 32 weeks now and have a big fat bump Shock I think it certainly feels more real when you start to feel the baby move but I still feel like the same old me, just fatter and a bit slower. Its only when I look down and see the chunk of bump that I realise I'm a preggo lady. Sounds daft but its true. Wink

Cavort · 14/09/2013 09:58

I think we all concluded before that we didn't feel pg until we had a bump, which was mid 20's weeks for me. I think it was when strangers could tell I had a baby bump and wasn't just fond of pies and started talking to me about it. I could feel movement from about 17 weeks and even that didn't make me feel pg. Confused

Btw I don't think I said congrats to Boom. Absolutely wonderful news but I second what someone else said already.... one on each boob?!! Shock Grin Shock Grin

Boomgoestheweasel · 14/09/2013 10:29

Thanks Cavort, hoping they're both ok in there! Was always hoping to BF but I think it's unlikely I'd be able to anyway (breast reduction, very inverted nipples) so with two I think it'll be nigh on impossible. That said, I'll probably still give it a bash Grin

Tallyra · 14/09/2013 11:44

I'm 9+2 today so if the scan is ok it'll be the furthest we have got.

Brodicea · 14/09/2013 12:29

Got the scan date through today - 21st October (luckily at 8.55am) - it seems so far away!

BlindKitty · 14/09/2013 21:40

Oh guys I have ages to wait then haha!!! Think I'd have felt better if Dh had let me do another test no 8 told my dad earlier, who literally cried Smile. Kept thinking 'wow I really hope I am pg after this response' lol

tally so glad you and baby are ok, even if you're still having a tough time

Thundercatsarego · 15/09/2013 07:59

This helicopter is so quiet! Is everyone still freaking out?
Well it's hopefully not long til some more berries join us so in the meantime I'm going to spruce the place up a bit.

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 08:22

I think I started the 'freaking out' thing, sorry Blush

On a positive note (literally), I did my eight pg test today (dh out for the night so while the cats away..) and the line was darker...phew.

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 09:50

Guys, I'm spotting! My line was darker this morning but I'm petrified its all over!!!

Thundercatsarego · 15/09/2013 10:08

Calm calm calm blind

Spotting is really really REALLY common. Look at merk and that was more than spotting. Understandable to be panicking but just take a few breaths and slow down.

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 10:36

Yes, that's what I keep saying to myself I'm just not listening very well

Thundercatsarego · 15/09/2013 11:05

Do you need:

  1. A hug Flowers
Or
  1. A gentle wang with one if the many pregnancy books/bits of advice that tell you that this is not a worrying sign

??

BlindKitty · 15/09/2013 13:32

Erm probably both. Called the acu emergency number 3 times (even though they prob wouldn't count this as an emergency) and its rang out!!!!! Nice to see there's someone on hand!!!
