Yey (assuming that is happy scan face smiley)!

barkingtreefrog · 07/09/2013 09:40

Lovely nurse gave me a call back and didn't make me feel silly for calling at all. She said as long as the pain was manageable and I wasn't soaking through more than one pad an hour I could stay at home. She has moved my scan forwards to Thursday as she said they should be able to see growth by then and said I could take paracetamol and using the wheat bag was fine Smile .

So it's another day on the sofa for me! Got a party to go to tonight that's an hour's drive away but it's in someone's house so I think I can cope with that. Loads of people I haven't caught up with for ages so it would be great to take my mind off everything!

DP tried to insist on staying at home but I think if I was going to gush with blood it would have probably just happened like than rather than creeping up from spotting and getting heavier and heavier. It just feels like a period now. I've told him to go. If I have an emergency it's the weekend and I have friends I can call on if necessary.

x post with lots of people!!!

haycorn yes I was still waiting!

merk yes, the cord measured only 2.3mm, they said less than 6 weeks although from the dates I should have been 7+3 still trying to desperately see that as ovulation a week late plus 4 days to implant rather than something that stopped growing over a week ago

thunder Whoop!

boom did you try the crate training option? I know my dog was a puppy so it was different but it worked for us.

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/09/2013 09:47

Barking do you know what dye you ovulated?

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/09/2013 09:48

Maybe I should go back to bed - date not dye Hmm

Boomgoestheweasel · 07/09/2013 09:53

Thunder smileys are good but..DETAILS, woman, DETAILS!

Barking oh so glad she was a nice nurse despite making you wait. Good for her sorting out your scan and reassuring you like that. When you say cord, is that like the crown-rump length?

We haven't crated him, he won't even go in with the door open and food in there! He's got to the point that he understands not to go to the toilet in the living room so we can just shut the door and keep him in here while we're out - the problem is when he's got the run of the house, it's a town house so we can't keep an eye on him all the time as it's over 3 floors, and he seems to think that the downstairs floor is an extension of outside Confused

barkingtreefrog · 07/09/2013 09:56

I don't know the exact date as we were travelling by then but I do know I definitely hadn't ov'd by cd17, probably not cd18 either. On a 'normal' cycle, not that I had regular cycles, I would typically Ov on cd19 or cd22. If the clomid didn't affect it I could potentially have ov'd as late as cd22 I reckon, which would immediately put me a week behind. But then I was measuring at least 4 days less than that, so then I need a very late implantation as well to explain the tiny size. Which I can convince myself think could explain why I couldn't get pg before - with my short LP if I was implanting late it wouldn't have time to settle in. Somehow the clomid sorted this.
I don't care if this is wild theory it helps me rationalise why I couldn't get pg as well as why I have a too tiny thing inside me

boom I don't know.. I might have used the wrong term if you don't understand what I'm talking about Blush .

Do you at least have easy clean flooring in his 'outside' area?!

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/09/2013 09:59

Barking at my early scan I was
6+1 on my calculated dates and 5+3 on the scan and she said variations like that early on are common, not least because 4 different people doing the measurements would get 4 different dates. I ovulated late and am using that to calculate my dates, not my lmp. My scan this week showed my calculations are more accurate. I would adjust your thinking on dates in your own head if I were you x

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/09/2013 10:03

Oh and Boom, I had a rescue dog who had the same problem for different reasons, use to use the kitchen floor (next to the back door).
We (after trying everything!) went back to full blown puppy training - newspaper all over the floor, praise for using the newspaper, gradually reducing the size of the newspaper patch and moving the patch towards the back door, eventually moving it out of the door. It took a while but it worked (and made cleaning up in the meantime much easier).
At least it seems with boomdog (autocorrect changed that to boondoggle Grin) that's its behavioural and therefore you can change it, you just need to find the magic thing that does the trick

Thundercatsarego · 07/09/2013 10:10

All is fine! I can't believe how scared I was- almost couldn't breathe.

I am on the way to tell my mum as a friend is arriving soon and I want mum to know first. Will put picture up later. Wiggly baby measuring another 2 days ahead so I am 12+2 with a edd of 20 march

MotherOfCleo · 07/09/2013 11:29

Yay! Beyond chuffed for you thunder Grin Grin Grin welcome to the land post 12 week scan where things are a tad less scary Smile

Boomgoestheweasel · 07/09/2013 11:34

Hurrah, excellent news Thunder! Grin Grin Grin Grin Does this mean you have to leave us and go and join the grown-ups? Hope your mum's face was a picture Grin

MotherOfCleo · 07/09/2013 11:36

Oh an I can sympathise with the pooch boom, we resorted to a dog flap in the end as our basset was a pain in the butt. Solved all the issues straight away, shes impatient and once she decided she wants to go it has to be 'now' so this way she has control. anything for an easy life

Crate training was also a huge help, she hated the crate though so I stopped using it.

Thundercatsarego · 07/09/2013 12:28

My mum jumped up and down a lot! I think putting it in the envelope with her wedding invitation may have added to the emotions!

Do I have to leave now- is that the rule? Sad

barking that's good about conversation, scan and rest!

Thundercatsarego · 07/09/2013 13:36

Wowzer thunder a proper baby! Congratulations!
Did you mean that we might have to leave the thread once we have reached the magic 12 weeks (once the BFP helicopter has landed)? I think it would be a shame - it would be great to see how everyone gets on...

Barking I think that is a reasonable rationale - will keep all crossed for Thursday which must seem a million years away.

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/09/2013 17:28

Brod there is another berry grad thread already. However because the majority of people on there are further along than us somebody had the good idea of this thread until we felt confident enough to actually call ourselves pregnant. Don't worry we will all be sticking together!
