Sorry if its tmi but I've had a really dodgy belly since yes I've tried to stay away from spicy food jus t eating plain food now so surely it can't be to do with what I'm eating . Do u think it could be to do with baby or labour coming soon I really hope so .also it's agony to walk far . Luckily my boy is away to nursery all until 6 tonight so I'm forgetting about housework and off for sleep .

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2013 13:10

gerty - supposedly making plans to do something is 'guaranteed' to start labour so making plans to make cupcakes might count?? I had tix to take DS to see a kids production of room on the broom this week tho and i was sure my mum would end up being the one taking him cos i'd be off having the baby but nope!! Grin

duesoon- supposedly a dodgy tummy is a sign of labour being imminent but i had a dodgy tummy y'day and last night but not in labour today and it didn't happen for me before i went into labour with DS either. So i'd prob stick to plain food and plenty of fluid just in case it's a bug instead cos you don't want to get dehydrated.

Good luck for anyone about to have a sweep done! I think impact going to rest up today cos all the walking, bouncing, cleaning and dtd hasn't worked and im wrecked so might as well just conserve energy at this point, esp with induction booked for Mon morning!!

Gingerandlemon · 16/08/2013 13:26

I've had a very odd night of weird dreams and waking up feeling strange - once gagging in my sleep and once shivering so violently I ache today. Then I had a scary no movements morning which has turned into a party in my belly Confused.

Bit wishful thinkingy to see these as obscure signs the baby is coming?!

Gerty1002 · 16/08/2013 14:02

LittleMiss I hope so, maybe theu are destined to go un-iced haha. Also have goddaughter's 3rd birthday party tomorrow so that counts too :).

ginger We love a bit of wishful thinking, as you can probably tell :)

MrBlondesFries · 16/08/2013 14:07

39+5....no signs yet....am getting fed up of ppl telling me I've dropped def haven't MW confirmed this lus it's baby number 2) and that "it'll be any day now....".

Holio · 16/08/2013 14:18

Fuck my fucking life I am SO OVER BEING PREGNANT

parttimer79 · 16/08/2013 15:35

41 weeks today FML I'm going to be pregnant forever!
Had fairly regular contractions about every half hour since 4 this morn but no progress. Booked to have my hair cut tomorrow and dinner with DP to get baby to thwart my plans :)
Going to do some more housework and bounce on the ball. Dtd appears to have no effect but at least it is nice to have some couple time before baby arrives - can you see me desperately trying to think positive??

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 16/08/2013 15:48

Hello! I am 38+3 with second baby. First was four years ago, came in his own sweet sweet time weighing 9 lb 5 oz at 42 weeks (but there were circumstances... we weren't living in our own house so I had all the wrong hormones going on, I now think. Not ideal oxytocin conditions!) So, due date is 27th, I'd quite like an August baby, and this one feels big so am intrigued to see if it beats DS for weight! Don't know if boy or girl.

Have had curry for the last two nights and the leftovers for lunches. If I could eat spicy food for breakfast I would! DTD this afternoon which was hilarious when I tried to add nipple twiddling into the mix - DH couldn't do two things at once, er, rhythm-wise, and also said it made him think of Kryten from Red Dwarf not being able to get Jazz FM...

lola1980 · 16/08/2013 16:28

Hello guys! Finally had my daughter on Wednesday morning after a quick labour but a very long second stage, which resulted in a ventouse delivery... And massive haemorrhage, so had to stay in hospital... But all ok now! Never thought it would happen I felt like I'd be pregnant forever! But it will happen ladies, hang in there xx

ZingWantsCake · 16/08/2013 16:29

CONGRATULATIONS Lola! Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks and Cake

(tis me *Zing - after several NCs)

well done you! Have you got a name for her yet?

lola1980 · 16/08/2013 16:34

Her name is Anisa. She's adorable! Feel like I've been hit by a truck but happy Grin

Bexmathews · 16/08/2013 16:34

Am still here, just sulking today :( congratulations Lola :)

ZingWantsCake · 16/08/2013 16:38

Bex have you cleaned your windows yet?Wink

it's good distraction

another one: sort you CDs & DVDs -I always end up finding something I fancy watching so that's an added bonus!

MrsLianeB · 16/08/2013 17:12

congrats Lola Flowers
Not jealous at all!

Well 40 +2 here and nothing exciting happening apart from constant has baby arrived texts and visits! Tried to dtd last night with hilarious consequences so had to give up once we ended up laughing so hard!

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2013 17:15

Congrats Lola!!

parttimer - 41 weeks today too and know exactly how you feel!!! On top of being fed up and ready for baby to arrive tho i am also feeling physically awful today, too warm, exhausted, nauseous, just want to curl into a ball but no way DS is allowing that!!!

gerty - did you get your buns iced yet? Wink

I had to go out and take DS to a clinic appt this morning and then wash a tonne of stuff cos he had a vomiting bug last night and he puked everywhere! Def early night for me and forget the bloody birth ball / dtd - rest & relaxation all the way now, netflix and icecream Grin Grin

Bexmathews · 16/08/2013 17:20

Yep windows cleaned, lol I have been watching all the Harry potter films as they are so long :) feeling bit better been for a waddle and now relaxing on sofa

am impressed with some of you still DTD!! I feel like I've been kicked inside out ;)

Gingerandlemon · 16/08/2013 17:21

I love this thread, it never fails to make me smile. Is it me or does "getting your buns iced" sound like a euphemism? A more original version of DTD perhaps? Grin sorry, I'm a child I know.

PurpleDana · 16/08/2013 17:26

Congrats lola :-)

ZingWantsCake · 16/08/2013 17:27

ginger good'un!Wink

just wait until I explain "emotional wanking"! Grin

Mayanbob · 16/08/2013 17:32

lola congrats!!!! Great news!

Love to see everyone's stories on here. I'm still holding on! But today I've been sleeping or grumpy and horrid.

Fingers crossed for a weekend of births for you guys and for my baby to STAY IN until Monday.

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/08/2013 17:37

If it would get these babies out, we'd all be getting our buns iced GrinGrin

ZingWantsCake · 16/08/2013 17:43

time for a eekend Eviction Note bunting

?????B?A?B?I?E?S?????G?E?T????O?U?T?!?????

ZingWantsCake · 16/08/2013 17:43

eekend?

weekend!Grin

Gingerandlemon · 16/08/2013 17:48

Bahaha definitely, little. I feel like an unsexy beached whale that smells of a heady concoction of curry, pineapple and raspberry leaf tea. I'm not sure how my husband could resist icing my buns!

Zing, I'm intrigued. I'm a psychologist and ive never heard of emotional wanking!

ZingWantsCake · 16/08/2013 17:53

ginger course not because I made the phrase up!Grin

have you seen "There's something about Mary?"
