Right then! Come here if you are 4-12 weeks and can't stop fretting. Didn't think anything could be worse than the 2WW? Think again!

..you kind of need to make friends with the brown gunk and the pre-scan worrying. I'm a veteran at five scans and I can guarantee the security you feel after each one will dissipate within days, simply because we have miscarried before or we haven't miscarried but have still struggled to get this baby. Sickness will come and go: I lost my nausea for three full days at nine weeks and was convinced baby was dead. It came back with a vengeance at week ten. Rushing around will not kill baby, nor will intense stress (think of women in war zones). Tell yourself you will stop doing such-and-such at so many weeks ie. googling shit - and stick to it.

Motor, we have young and robust embryos Smile I've got fucking shoes that are older than my donor. Marbie, you have no evidence that you will ever miscarry Smile. So....accept that pre-scan menkulling will happen and don't assume that every bad news story on these threads will consequently happen to you. It won't.

It's only a small thing, but I've deliberately stopped knicker checking today. I refuse to be a slave to that fucking crotch any more

PramQueen1971 · 20/08/2013 19:49

Wigwam, I really and truthfully could see jack shit today with the empty bladder. Obvs I saw a baby but it was just a mass with a pumping heart (maybe I'm having a puffa fish?). Shame really, as I should have seen it's bloody epiglottis at this stage (12 wks), but I'm looking forward to the dating scan next week where I'm hoping to see its bogeys Smile

Oh, and go and have a glass of wine, you puff.

...or maybe not Hmm

twinklestar2 · 20/08/2013 21:50

Thx pram and everyone for your thoughts and kind words.

I am terrified of it never working. And the amount of money this could potentially cost. How on earth do people afford it? I can afford one paid cycle - afford on the loosest sense of the word - and then after that it would be a case of remortgaging the house. Very scary.

pram - I found some super strength vit c tabs in tesco today, 500mg each. So got oh on those too!

twinklestar2 · 20/08/2013 21:52

That vid is horrible, do people actually talk to their children like that. Fucking chav how did she have 2 kids and people on here are struggling. Disgusting.

Sorry about my rant last night, it makes me blood boil that decent, caring people have to go through this ORDEAL and others get it so easily and don't appreciate it.

When I have kids, I'll try not to swear at them if they shit tr toilet up lol!!

Thanks beetle, I must try and push negative thoughts out of my mind but I am already thinking the FET won't work so I have to plan for round 3 and unfortunately that means thinking about the financial side of it.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/08/2013 10:39

Morning all!!

That's ok Twinks everyone needs a rant x

Motor any news??!!

Morning Prambuster

Hope you're having fun Nooky!

PramQueen1971 · 21/08/2013 13:42

That video is certainly not funny for those TTC which is why I posted it here and not the Egg Buddies thread. FWIW, despite my struggle to conceive, I will go fucking nuts at any child of mine who leaves floating turds in the toilet at that age Smile

twinklestar2 · 21/08/2013 14:00

Grin pram

PramQueen1971 · 21/08/2013 14:49

Grin Twinks, have you devised a plan yet to rob your local post office for IVF funds? Them piss-stained grannies deserve it. I have a replica AK40 if you need it

twinklestar2 · 21/08/2013 15:20

Hehe I'm ok! I actually have the money in my account but only cause my OH gets paid quarterly. So have to try and be frugal and not let those funds diminish (she says whilst spending shed loads on organic food and frickin supplements Hmm)

I've always fancied doing the organic veg box thing beetle. The random weird veg will probably make for some very creative recipes!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/08/2013 16:40

I did that for a bit Beetle it's great!! It means you have to get creative!! Just google whatever you get, and away you go!!

Twinks I used to get paid quarterly. It's a nightmare!!

MotorcycleMama · 21/08/2013 18:50

Hi everybody, just a quick post to say that the scan was fine today. Baby did some fantastic wriggles that DH managed to get on his phone, so I keep watching it. I was so certain before I got there that it was all over - I feel decidedly un-pregnant, so now I definitely know you can be healthily pregnant and not feel it, IYKWIM. Baby measuring 10+6 when only 10+2 so may be a big bugger!

Re the cost of IVF, what can I say. This has cost us over 8k - could definitely not afford to do it again if it didn't work. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Love to all. X

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/08/2013 18:52

Oh, that's the best news Motor, I've been thinking of you! So chuffed for you x

Re costs, we are very lucky we had the NHS Smile

Me too Beetle, it's like masterchef!!

Next scan is a week tomorrow. It's terrible, but I'm just wishing time away at the moment!!

When is your scan? Any symptoms to support Wink

MotorcycleMama · 21/08/2013 22:10

beetle and maybe I have done the organic veg box delivery thing twice now, and each time have cancelled after a few months because it didn't really work for me. Very tempting, and worth a go, but..
Anyway, don't want to piss on anyone's bonfire Wink.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/08/2013 22:17

We stopped it too Motor Grin

PramQueen1971 · 21/08/2013 23:53

Aw, Motor, I'm so chuffed for you. Ten weeks is a bobby-dazzler of a milestone, you know.

What's organic veg? Hmm
