Right then! Come here if you are 4-12 weeks and can't stop fretting. Didn't think anything could be worse than the 2WW? Think again!

belle I am very sorry to heat that, and sad we hardly got to know you. I wish you all the best, and hope you succeed really soon.

nook how many weeks/days will you be at your scan?

pram there is such rapid growth at this stage that I think pinches, twinges, cramps etc are all to be expected.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/08/2013 19:08

I'm so sorry Belle

Pramster, I've had the pinching thing. I get it quite a lot. I was told its completely normal.

Nook we are crazy. If you get a symptom, we worry. If said symptom disappears, we worry Wink

How far along are you now Motor?

PramQueen1971 · 08/08/2013 19:47

Can we put weeks along at the end of each post? Fanks.

The nausea is horrid but very reassuring on the eve of my scan Smile

10+2

MotorcycleMama · 08/08/2013 21:28

I'm 8+3.
Next scan 21st August when I'll be 10+2. Two weeks is a long time to wait!
Can't wait to see hear your scan news pram - long live nausea!

PramQueen1971 · 08/08/2013 21:42

You're a sweetie, you, *Motor Thanks

NoMaybeAboutIt · 08/08/2013 23:19

We really are motor ing along. See what I did there?!

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Prammasterj. What time you up?

7+1 here today. Scan next Tuesday at 7+6. Then if there is a heartbeat, will be discharged into NHS care. Will book private scan for 10 weeks. Have GP appointment tomorrow for paperwork, then booking in on the 20th. Though this feels majorly like I'm jinxing things Hmm

Am taking tomorrow off work. Feel too poo. I'm so looking forward to sleeping till 8 Grin

MotorcycleMama · 09/08/2013 06:35

maybe I know what you mean about jinxing things, but having appointments does help manage the wait I find.
I have bloods today and then full booking appt on Monday.
Really glad you are taking a sick day today, and hope you just rest and recover.

PramQueen1971 · 09/08/2013 08:51

Argh! You've stumped me with Prammasterj, Marbs. What does it mean? (or is it my accent?) And why can you only lie-in until 8am when off work? I hope you start to feel better soon, lovely.

Motor, it's all go for you!

My scan is at 11.30 but I have a 3-bus odyssey to get there. Why am I so poor?!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/08/2013 09:03

See here Prammy. I'm just too gangster.

The pup needed to go out then. But it's ok, I'm on the sofa now. Working up to breakfast.

I can't drive, so MrM has to take me to the clinic, I feel your pain. I'm excited for scan news. And pictures!!

NookNook · 09/08/2013 11:13

Exciting day tomorrow Pram!

Motorola how's the sludge? Mine is back but only mild so far. I always get some cramps with mine. Not sure if that's significant!

Maybs I can't drive either! Good idea getting a private scan at 10 weeks. I think I may do the same.

I'm 7+4 so scan will be at 8+1. I've had my 12 week scan appointment through which is 11th of September.

That's great news Nook! Have you had your booking in appointment yet? I'm unsure of what to expect from my GP appointment tonight. We are lucky, we have a private scan centre up the road, so will be using it in a few occasions. I'm getting so nervous about Tuesday.....

NookNook · 09/08/2013 11:54

I know! I'm getting super nervous. I'll be a wreck by Monday.

I've got my booking in appointment on the 17th August. Midwife is coming to the house - eek! I spoke to her on the phone and she sounds lovely. I'm blissfully ignorant about what she wants to know. I'm really not that interesting!

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/08/2013 11:59

We can be wrecks together. My booking in is on the 20th, but it's at my GPs.

NookNook · 09/08/2013 12:10

With your gp or midwife?

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/08/2013 12:22

GP is tonight, midwife is the 20th

NookNook · 09/08/2013 12:29

Ah I see.

Pram I'm very stupid. Scan is today!!

PramQueen1971 · 09/08/2013 14:10

I'm here! What a nightmare trip...will fill you in later but in the meantime I've uploaded my scan photo and I'm in love, in love, in love! Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/08/2013 14:19

Oh Prammy I'm over the moon for you. Prambino is cutting a very fine figure already Wink xxx

PramQueen1971 · 09/08/2013 14:34

Aw, fanks, Marbie

P.s...your link doesn't work.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/08/2013 14:48

Bollocks. Try this instead....

PramQueen1971 · 09/08/2013 15:03

So...it takes three buses to get to the hospital, right? After the first one I sat waiting for ages for the second and found myself talking to a massive fat man with psoriasis who was going to the hospital to have his scabs creamed and an alcoholic who was going to an estate near the hospital to score some speed. He kept drinking from a 3-litre bottle of cider concealed in a carrier bag but was a really decent sort.

Anyway, we all boarded the 483 which promptly broke down only ten minutes into the journey and the driver said a rescue bus would be with us in half-an-hour. I said fuck that, it will make me late for bus number three, so I paid for me, the alcoholic (Darren) and Psoriasis Man to get a taxi the rest of the way. The other two kept apologising profusely that they couldn't chip-in with the fare but I told them it would be nonsense to take the cab alone when I'm paying anyway.

The Asian taxi driver was not impressed when Darren tried to spark up a fag and Psoriasis Man pulled his top up to show me his scabs, which were flaking all over the back seat to add to his scotch egg crumbs. The taxi stank of curry and booze and it ended up costing me twenty quid because Darren couldn't remember where his dealer lived. On leaving the hospital I caught a bus to the bus station where I bumped into both Psoriasis Man and Darren! I had to spend a further two bus rides and an hour and a half in their lovely company until I got home.

Darren kept apologising for drinking but I told him he must do what he has to do to stave off the shakes. They were both lovely people and really protective of me because I was pregnant. They loved my scan photo and gave me a kiss when I finally left them pity they stank I just can't believe my journey started at 9.30 this morning and I finally got home at 2.10pm - and all for a ten-minute scan Hmm

PramQueen1971 · 09/08/2013 15:07

MaybeIt'sBecauseI'mALondoner, I loved Run-DMC in the late eighties before you were born but I never knew the names of any of them. What a surprise he was shot Hmm

NoMaybeAboutIt · 09/08/2013 15:17

Prammy please say every word of that story is true. I want, nay, need your life. That sounds immense!!

I was born in 84, but who's counting

PramQueen1971 · 09/08/2013 15:24

'Course it's true! You couldn't make this shit up.
