jmf The. 21st. December. Blush

IBelieveInPink · 14/05/2013 22:40

February for me! Blush

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 14/05/2013 22:47

Oh don't get me wrong, there's been no lovin in this oven since rape week (fertile week in case anyone didn't know me on TTC thread!!)

WillSantaComeAgain · 15/05/2013 06:34

Jamie, if you are wearing pads all the time it sounds like a sort of nappy/sweat rash to me. I had that after DC1 and it didn't go away till I switched to uber thin liners. Try nappy rash cream? I swear by metanuim (much better than sudocrem).

Good luck today Blackholes, keeping everything crossed for you.

Dietcoke- I refused to even walk through John Lewis baby section till I was 24 weeks. I had to wall through when I was about 21 weeks and I had to keep my head down and walk really quickly!! So with you on the milestones!

Debating whether to pay for another private scan at 10 weeks.... I can't bear the thought of another mmc especially as the scan could well be on my birthday

Bakingtins · 15/05/2013 07:06

Good luck blackholes

No loving here either, progesterone pessaries decidedly cramping my style!

We had a nice day yesterday and will try to find my posifrickingtivity today. I'm glad we kept the celebrations low key not just laziness, honest as even with only a few friends there DS cracked under the pressure of having everyone sing to him and refused to blow the candles out.

Santa if you're paying for a private scan surely you call the shots? either pick before your birthday so you can relax and enjoy it, or after, if you won't be worrying about the scan on your birthday in that case. Obviously you will only be getting good news and reassurance, but I'd avoid even the possibility of bad news on your birthday. My birthday was EDD for my first MC, it has spoiled it ever since.

Aoifebelle · 15/05/2013 07:21

blackholes fingers and toes crossed for you today. Hope all goes well.

Janie sorry your under carriage it's misbehaving. I have ditched some of my knickers as they seem to no longer agree with me. I reckon if you ask your other half he will say it is nothing that a good dose of cock won't sort out. It is my oh`s cure for everything. Bless him, God loves a trier.

Been giggling at all your stories of your toddlers. I of course will have the perfect nipper, who will never misbehave. Seriously, why put yourselves through it more than once (serious question as I am getting on a bit may only get to have one so been looking for the bright side of that)

Feeling a bit drained this morning. The wind was mental last night and kept us both awake for most of it. Urgh.

andadietcoke · 15/05/2013 07:26

santa I had a private scan at 10+4. It was really good because you could see things by then - cord blood flow and the hearts pumping etc. we listened to the heartbeats and the sonographer talked us through everything in a way they haven't since. It helped with anxiety coming up to the 12w scan (mine was at 13+2 so a long way from EPU scan at 7w) and we have lots of photos which seem to be higher quality than the others since. It was especially nice to see a 'proper' baby looking things inside me as opposed to blobs!

GardenWorm · 15/05/2013 07:40

Stop making me smirk on the train Aoife (a good dose of cock!). No activity here either, really no interest! Feel sorry for DH as when I got the BFP he was banging on about how we would be doing it much more in this pg than with DD.....and I quietly thought 'yeah, right - in your dreams'! Janie that sounds painful but deffo down to extra moisture in the region, Metanium is fab but be warned its yellow and you need to make sure you rub it in properly or you'll end up with some strange stainage on your clothes in the camels hoof dpt!

Blackholes Happy Scan Day - sending you lots of POSIFRICKINTIVITY x

I have my scan 2pm on Monday (13+4! Cutting it fine) and looks like we will have to take nearly 2 yr old with us (argh), still once she whirlwinds her way in there is no way they will want to keep us waiting! Lol!

WillSantaComeAgain · 15/05/2013 08:54

Thanks dietcoke - thats my thought. baking - it was the dating scan that could be on my birthday. As I ended up having a scan at the EPU much earlier than expected (6+4) the dating scan seems soooooo long away particuarly when you've been reading Google and discovering the statistics for having a miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat, which are still 9.4% at 6+2

So very randomly I got the horn this week so actually have had some loving Grin - first since rape week. These days my libido is a timid thing and, with a toddler and ridiculously busy life, it doesn't often show its face, so I do try to make the most of it when it shows up!!

aoife don't believe all the horror stories about toddlers. They are charming, delightful and willing little creatures that don't give you any grief. Grin Grin Grin [Actually, there was a really good thread on MN about a year ago that listed all the reasons why toddlers were excellent, despite their flaws. Number one is the fact that they can (if they choose to) say "luf you mummy" and you heart breaks]

Zeuxippe · 15/05/2013 09:23

Well possibly for the first time ever I?m on MN from a real computer! Have a rare working from home day, so am making the most of it by doing as little work as possible?!!

Blackholes will be thinking of you today. What time is the scan?

Janie poor you with the rash. I do wonder if it might be the liners, as others have said

Bod so pleased the blood results were good! Yippee Grin

Good to hear the positive stories about the FMC Aoife and Pentagon. Am heading there for the first appointment a week on Friday ? keeping everything crossed. Haven?t even had a viability scan yet and will be nearly 11 weeks then ? eek! jmf good luck with the Harmony blood test there tomorrow.

Just wondering, at what stage did/will people tell their employers? I?m thinking of telling them when my line manager?s back from holiday and I have the harmony and nuchal results (around 13.5 weeks), but part of me thinks that?s still too soon, as things could still go wrong? However I have a huge tummy already at just 10 weeks (sure I didn?t show this early with DD)When did/will you tell?

Hope everyone has a great day today.

Bodicea · 15/05/2013 10:30

Hi more free wifi again.

BumpI think you just ring antenatal dept about results. They normally send a letter out after a few weeks if normal and ring you if high risk so no news is good news xxxx

I told employers immediately as couldn't not with all scans I was having. Plus your colleagues look after you a bit x

Janie I read that liners actually make discharge etc worse and the best thing is cotton knickers with a proper gusset !

Good luck with scan today black holes xxxxx

Pentagon · 15/05/2013 10:42

Blackholes good luck with your scan today!

Zeuzippe with DD I told work and most friends after my 20-week scan. I did show but managed to (sort of) hide it with loose tops (some people had guessed, some people hadn't noticed) This time I started showing earlier so I announced it 2 weeks ago i.e. when I was 13-14 weeks. It felt quite early but it's nice and less stressful not having to hide it/avoid people.

aoife I agree with Santa toddlers are hard work but they say and do such lovely things sometimes, they can make your heart melt. It's all worth it, I promise!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 15/05/2013 11:20

Thanks for the tips girls, I'm actually not wearing liners as I hate them and I think they cause irritation (for me anyway). Cotton knickers all the way here :( will get some if that cream you recommended, will get some at lunch :)

Fx for you blackholes xxx

DIYandEatCake · 15/05/2013 12:22

Good luck blackholes!
aoife I think dp would happily have settled for one dc, but I want dd to have a sibling and as I'm not quite past it yet the biological urge is still there! I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to the baby stage again though, give me a toddler any day.
No bedroom action since bfp here either. Sounds dreadful but I think dp is really enjoying the break, he always took a lot of persuading ttc. He has never had the highest libido though and is feeling a bit stressed at the moment (partly I fear at the thought of having another baby - dd was a very unhappy baby and woke screaming at least every 2 hours at night for her first year... I think I've kind of forgotten more than him!)

Mummytothearkbuilder · 15/05/2013 13:19

No dtd action from us either - DH actually doesn't want to until after 12 weeks - he has it in his mind that it might do harm / cause miscarriage. Quite enjoying the break after all the dtd while ttc!! X

BumpKitty · 15/05/2013 13:40

Thanks for the info bod I'll call tonmorrow when I'm not at work. I got an appt letter today and thought that was the results but no! It's for a consultant appt at 20 wks due to bad tear last time.

No dtd since unexplained fluid flood 2 weeks ago! DH is not understanding anymore!

aoife today my toddler said to me 'is there a baby in your tummy mummy?' Me - yes, toddler - produces plastic flute and declares 'I'll get it out' ! I'm not sure if she meant in a pied piper way or using the flute to dig! Either way it amused me Grin

shellsocks · 15/05/2013 13:43

Thats brill news bod, you must be relieved...hope your having a brill time Smile

Sorry gary I'm still scared pelvic floor exercies will cause me to MC Blush...talk some sense into me!

My DS is only 14m so still at the totally adorable with no naughtiness stage...this can last, right?!

janie no advice re the rash but...more hair = a boy you know Wink I shaved all through my last PG until I went overdue then just coudln't be bothered anymore so when it came to crunch time I must've had quite the 70's bush on the go...genuinely didn't give one by then tho!

Oh and February for me too...we made it all the way to 41 weeks last time so DH not hoping for any anytime soon Grin

zeux I told my work after 12 weeks scan, I had been asked a few times already so couldn't really hold out anymore....I work with DH too and he wanted to tell people.

Had a doppler scare last night, took ages to find...I only did it as well cos I hadn't for a while (no dramas since I've been better!) so thought it would be nice aaaggghhh!

Aoifebelle · 15/05/2013 14:11

I just caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror at work. BIGGEST CAMEL TOE EVER!!!! I think bump is making itself evident, just not quite in the way I expected.

Shall be sitting down for the rest of the day

GardenWorm · 15/05/2013 16:31

Anyone recommend any pre natal yoga or Pilates type exercise DVD's? There's no way I could get to classes due to DH's shifts, never tried it before so nothing too complex! Seem to remember someone mentioning their abs muscles and Pilates/yoga on here recently?

IBelieveInPink · 15/05/2013 18:27

Ooh I would also like a recommendation for Pilates/yoga preggy DVD please. I have the davina preggy work out one, but was too scared to use it before 12 weeks, and now too scared since bleed, so haven't actually tried it yet! But need to do something!!!!

Zeux- I told work after I had had 12 week scan and test results. But I have only told my boss and no one else. My work is NOT the most understanding place, and I am going to keep it hidden from everyone else for as long as I can.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 15/05/2013 18:46

Thank you so much all of you xxxxxx scan is in 65 monutes from now. Going out for food with poor neglected dp afterwards (if good news!) so will update you as soon as I can.

My toddlers (yes I have two! Yes I am mad and very very lucky) are amazing, truly they are. The little one is 19 months and totally adorable and scrummy. My three year old is probably too similar to me temper wise! Adore every second of them though, really I do (even when shes being awful it soon passes) they are so worth it. I hope they have a baby sibling joining them at the end of this year- triple the love and fun!

Was a bit worried you'd think we were greedy for having two and wanting a third... Sorry!

jmf294 · 15/05/2013 18:53

Everything crossed for you Blackholes!

I have 2 children as well - a 3 year old little princess diva who is so loving but a nightmare at sleeping and a 5 year old boy who argues about everything (like his mum) but is a lovely bright boy. He developed type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 so life is pretty hard for him with constant blood tests, insulin, hypos etc but he is such a hero and so much braver than his mum!!

IBelieveInPink · 15/05/2013 18:56

Ooh blackholes, a late scan! Good luck, thinking of you.

Vixjane · 15/05/2013 19:10

Good luck blackholes!

No loving this way either! After 2mc we're a bit too scared to try and push our luck! DH has been very understanding!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 15/05/2013 19:23

really shell? a boy you say?!?! because of my hairy lady garden?! what a crazy thing!! the chinese calendar said it was a boy too, but then my friend said it was a girl as i hadn't had sickness. who bloody knows! i guess there's a 50/50 chance ha!

i told my boss today eek. only him though, no big announcement. i actually went into his office as was totally stressed about all the NI bollocks and said i was pregnant and couldn't take this anymore and it was making me panic about getting maternity pay etc etc. that made him bloody well get his finger out. he got onto HMRC straightaway and he even said that as i'm an extremely valued member of staff, i would get more than the stat maternity pay! who would've thought! but i'll believe that when i see it. i'll be sure to get that in writing! i think he now realises you don't fuck with a pregnant woman on a mission. Boss nil, Janie 1

i would also love to get into some exercising now that i'm feeling a little more energetic. a dvd could be the answer. might nip out for a walk now just to get out of here for a bit.
