Lucky you pink!! Get the ticket! (Although wont be the same without jay) Don't panic about your reputation, my friend is trying to convince me to go to the big reunion. There it's out, sad and proud!! Grin

JanieLovesCake · 03/05/2013 23:07

Oh and my friend texted to say her scan went well! She thought she was 10 and half weeks (same as me( but actually 12!! So she's winning the race!!

Congrats in your scan today bump :)

IBelieveInPink · 03/05/2013 23:09

Haha! Janie I went to the big reunion when it was filmed for the tv show. It was so good, felt young again! Funniest thing was, there weren't many kids there, it was all ladies in later 20s early 30s. So much fun!

BumpKitty · 04/05/2013 07:10

Ah, a tiny ibip brought in to the world to the sound of 5ive, so which one will you name him (or her!) after? Grin

Zeuxippe · 04/05/2013 07:53

Morning everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend - there are rumours of sun! Grin

Anyway the update from my midwife is that sadly there are no free scan slots until the end of May. If I bleed I can be seen straightaway though, and she's given me the number for that. So in the light of that, and my advanced age (40) I've decided to book in at the Fetal Medicine Centre like jmf and get the combined Harmony/Nuchal done there instead. First scan booked for 24th May!!

Please could someone update my stats:

Zeux: 1DD, 1MC, EDD 14th Dec, first scan 24th May

Thank you!!

Lucky13ForBaby · 04/05/2013 08:03

Ou I loved the big reunion Blush lots of good memories. Bit of 911 lol. Zeux wished I'd been more organised and gone with the FMC too. I would pay I think if the risk came back high. I had a nasty midwife the other day who did nothing to treasure me! Glad I'm seeing someone else next time! I notice that in a second baby visits to midwife are much less. Not good for those with anxiety issues and total loons like me! Happy bank holiday peeps. Not looking so sunny here right now!

Lucky13ForBaby · 04/05/2013 08:04

Reassure not treasure!

Bakingtins · 04/05/2013 08:17

Garden we're going to watch the cross country at Badminton Horse Trials.

Santa I will be the harrassed looking person with 2yr old, 6 yr old, husband, best friend and 2 dogs (cocker and terrier) in tow, probably lugging a picnic, wellies, sunhats and emergency pants (for the 2 yr old, not me!) Have a good day!

IBelieveInPink · 04/05/2013 08:31

Bump - not sure I would use any of 5ives names!! Would maybe use Sean, I think that is a nice boy name. But just because of the connection I couldn't bring myself to do it!!

Can we talk about body shape today please ladies? I am a little confused.
So usually, I am top end of 'normal' weight, but I'm lucky in that I am hourglass shape and carry it well.
Since being pg, dispite eating the world, I first of all dropped a couple of pounds (which must have been a couple more realistically as some of the weight moved to my boobs!) since then I have put back on a couple, and maybe gained an extra 2. So not extreme. However, it has all gone on my waist! It isn't baby, as is too high to be baby. So why all on my waist when I never usually carry weight there?

If actually, it is just me getting fatter and eating too much, please just tell me to shut up. I don't mind if it is. But I was just curious if there was any connection to pregnancy hormones? Or am I clutching at straws?!

Vocalista86 · 04/05/2013 08:51

Jmf yay for your scan and for jumping a few days ahead

shell are you feeling any better today? Hope so!

So last night I dopplerd on a full bladder and heard the HB clear as day at 10 weeks! 160bpm yay little bean you're still there!! So then I started the lovely baby book I bought called bump to birthday - its so pretty and has bits for mum & dad to write. I'm feeling possitive! (even the I dopplerd this morning as soon as I woke up and baby was hiding).

Happy Bank holiday weekend everyone :)

Vocalista86 · 04/05/2013 08:52

Though not the!

GardenWorm · 04/05/2013 09:04

5ive? ibip you are young! Tee hee! Oh and yep you do lose the waist line first (annoying really!).

....well I tried the Doppler and may just try a sea shell next time! Lol! I'll be honest I don't think the bladder was full maybe better luck next time (or just listen to a sea shell!) Ha Ha! Well done Vocal!

IBelieveInPink · 04/05/2013 09:08

Damn! Though that might be the case, so annoying!!

Vocal - yay for doppler fun!
Garden- don't let it get to you. Lol at the idea of trying with a seashell though! :)

pumpkinsweetie · 04/05/2013 16:06

Not feel very positive today, have tummy cramps of which i don't remember having with my full pregnancies. Hoping it is nothing, but for some reason i know this isn't good. I have no bleeding, just cramps. Are cramps normal or not? Sad
My nipples are still sore, still have tiredness and slight nausea but i cant fathom how these cramps can be normal. I'm only 6 weeks at most so i know if i go along to the epu they'll either turn me away or the scan will not show much.
I suppose this is a waiting game to see if I'm miscarrying again or not Sad

BlackholesAndRevelations · 04/05/2013 16:29

Oh pumpkin Sad I'm sure cramps are ok if there's no bleeding. Do they feel like period cramps? Because there will be all sorts of stretching/moving etc, but i knew there was sonething wrong when my cramps were like period ones. Fingers crossed there remains no bleeding, and that your bean stays put xxxx

(ps- I've just started getting mild cramps too. Fingers crossed for both of us. Flowers)

pumpkinsweetie · 04/05/2013 16:35

Thankyou blackholes for reassuring me, fx for you too x

katerinaemalina · 04/05/2013 17:34

I've got back ache which I'm stressing about as that's usually an AF sign for me. I also have mild cramps on and off but do feel slightly different to period ones. Holding both yr hands xx

andadietcoke · 04/05/2013 17:52

pumpkin, blackholes and katerina - for me, the cramps, and the backache were normal, and have continued to be normal. The weekend I was 6w I spent in bed crying because I was so sure I was miscarrying. I too, couldn't believe I could feel like that and everything could be okay. So far, it has. Drink lots of water and take some paracetamol, and wait it out. With miscarriages (apparently, and it was my experience), normally the cramping comes after the bleeding starts. Hold on to that - today you are pregnant xxx

katerinaemalina · 04/05/2013 18:15

Thank u xxx

BlackholesAndRevelations · 04/05/2013 18:41

Thank you from me too xxx seems we're all going through exactly the same feelings and fears... So good to be able to share. Fingers crossed for you too katerina xxx

Pentagon · 04/05/2013 20:30

Zeux well done on booking at the FMC - they'll take good care of you there, everyone's lovely!

pumpkin, blackholes and katerina - with my 2 missed miscarriages I had no pain or cramping whatsoever. With my 1 successful pregnancy and this one (14 weeks at the moment, so far so good) I've had pain, cramping and brown discharge...for me these symptoms have actually been reassuring this time!

Vocal congratz on finding the heartbeat at 10w! Yay!

Vocalista86 · 04/05/2013 20:35

Thanks Pentagon! Grin

Pumpkin, blackholes & katerina I really do think that things are all growing and changing shape so some cramping is entirely normal!!

Ladies I feel so so fat today!! Def no bump but so much bloat, K Middy never had this.... am I alone?!

IBelieveInPink · 05/05/2013 00:47

Nope vocal, not alone. I have had massive bloating. Is the most vile and Unglamourous thing ever!

Ladies who are cramping - I have had lots of cramping all the way through. I had not much with either mc until it actually kicked off. It does actually, when you are being rational, feel like stretching pains, although I know I was in tears and on here many a time!
Mine tends to be worse when I have been stood up too long or am very tired. Have been at a wedding tonight, so have had both! And yet more cramping. Be reassured, it is so common, and probably won't stop for a bit. Try and rest when you can.

I have just noticed it is after midnight and I therefore officially 12 weeks. Eek!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 05/05/2013 07:23

Thank you all. Cramps eased off now after a good nights sleep, and no blood... Hopefully that's it.

Katerina and pumpkin- how are you both this morning?
