Janie- remind me how far you are? I had quite a bit more cramping when I was 10 weeks, and I have a feeling you are about a week behind. I think it quite normal.

Shell- I will be 40+5!! (hopefully). So a little over.... Will just have to see how things are going. Ah well- that would be one way to meet the band!!!
Nightmare about the bug. Glad you feeling a little better today, not good for the stress levels though! Thank goodness you already had scan!

Santa- yes!! I totally agree with comments re those having baby's that really want/deserve them, and picking friends that should. When I had my first mc, I justified it to myself in that my friend got pg at exactly the same time as me. It was her 6th pregnancy (all mcs) and my first. I justified it that I was taking one for the team, and she is now 34 weeks. :)
Life is so unfair though. You see people who really struggle getting pg who could give a happy and healthy home to a baby, then those that don't deserve it have loads! Makes me very very angry.

Good scan news from me.
I went to the FMC this morning and was scanned by a lovely doctor.
One baby!!- was measuring at 8+6, so 3 days ahead.
It was even waving its arms.
I cried before the scan when the doctor asked if I was ok and just so relieved afterwards.
I have my harmony plus scan in 2 weeks and nuchal scan in 4 weeks all booked there, so lots more to worry about but for today I'm happy.

Sorry to hear how poorly you have been Shell.
Hi to everyone else and thanks for all the messages of support.
Best go as I'm having lunch out with my husband in London.

IBelieveInPink · 03/05/2013 12:13

Yay jmf! So pleased :) x

pumpkinsweetie · 03/05/2013 12:24

Brilliant news jmf Smile, hope you have a lovely lunch.

JanieLovesCake · 03/05/2013 12:31

Yay jmf!! I hope uou waved back Smile And enjoy your lunch!

Pink I'm 10+4 today, really throbby. I actually but the bullet and called the midwife. She said its probably muscle pain and I should go home and have a nice bath and not do anything else. Hopefully it will subside Hmm it's been my first real panic.

And I would totally get a ticket and go to concert with your bump!! Maybe you could get an accessible ticket in case you need a seat? And you might get to meet them yay!!

Aoifebelle · 03/05/2013 12:44

Yeah jMF I had a good feeling about today.
Had my first major craving and it was for a juicy burger. Now sitting in a burger joint on my own, and I don't care. They had just better bring it quick.

IBelieveInPink · 03/05/2013 12:54

Aoife- I want your burger. I was just daydreaming about a massive juicy burger. And then you go and post that? Mmmmm.

JanieLovesCake · 03/05/2013 13:02

Oh god I want one too grumbly achey tum. Mmm burger. I might take myself to a burger place too mmmm

katerinaemalina · 03/05/2013 13:03

yey for j! I am going to ask for an 8 week scan (pray i get there!) as had 2x mc (though early ones) - surely they will be understanding of that?! Nearly the weekend - hoorah!

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 03/05/2013 13:30

Great news JMF!!

And we had another BFP on Fertile Friday - MummytotheArkBuilder this time.

Stop talking about food - I seem to have started to get MS which I know should be a good thing - but I am a bad patient. I can only stomach Water with lemon in it, had to stop off on way home last night to get some Volvic "Touch of Lemon" as had run out of my squirty jif.

Good news jmf!

shell hope you feel better soon.

Santa shall we wear a carnation? I'm not actually going to carry a baking tin, that would be weird Wink

Aoifebelle · 03/05/2013 13:44

Burger dispatched. Now trying to fight off the burger induced coma (and also trying not to think that red meat craving = iron definiency - have been avoiding iron supplements as they play havoc with my movements).
Sorry Chocolate just seen your plea to stop talking about food. Oops.

DIYandEatCake · 03/05/2013 14:05

Yay jmf! Wonderful news. Am jealous that you get to see the baby again in 2 weeks! Hope you had a nice lunch celebrating.

Still have that blooming migraine, though it's gradually getting better - 5 days! Managing to eat today though and no more throwing up so that's good. choc I like the idea of water with lemon, have been struggling to find anything I fancy drinking too.

Zeuxippe · 03/05/2013 14:49

Hello everyone!! Happy Friday Grin

jmf glad to hear the scan went well!! Congrats

Well I'm in a good mood today as I got a phone call from the midwife and even without me asking she offered to book me in for an early scan! Yay! Waiting to hear back now.

Hope you're all looking forward to a lovely weekend

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/05/2013 15:21

Glad the scan went well, jmf! Great news. Hope you had a lovely lunch. Glad ypure feeling better, DIY.

I wonder if two mc will qualify me for an early scan? How do I find out? I was thinking about booking one for eight weeks but my booking in obviously isn't til then so not sure who to contact before then, if anyone?

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/05/2013 15:23

Ps meant to say, great news about your early scan, zeux!

Pentagon · 03/05/2013 15:37

great news jmf, well done!

zeux sounds like you have a lovely midwife, good luck with the early scan, let us know when it is

black my GP referred me for an early scan - I don't know if it's the GP or midwife in your area. Here's a link to the EPU website, you can search for your local hospital and see how it works (some even accept self-referrals):

earlypregnancy.org.uk/FindUsMap.asp

shell, I'm also using cocoa butter at the moment (I put it on before I go to bed) - it's really good and smells lovely but wanted to try a second product, use it in the mornings maybe...if I remember!!

WillSantaComeAgain · 03/05/2013 15:43

blackholes - I guess you'll have to try your GP. Mine seemed happy to agree to refer me (though whether the hospital will accept me, I'm not sure). Last time my MW tried to refer me and failed. Well, at least she said she'd tried.

I can see why they resist, but then surely they must understand the levels of anxiety that having had two mcs (2MMCs in my case) causes to women, and frankly if stupid women who can't work out their dates can qualify then surely we should too.

I really ought to think about booking in, as I know they like to do it at 8 weeks here, but I'm not going to a booking in until I've had a scan. I've already wasted 3 hours of my life at booking appts for nothing, I'm NOT doing it again [stamps feet]

baking - I shall mostly be walking round pushing a red icandy apple pushchair. I shall not be wearing a santa outfit.

GardenWorm · 03/05/2013 15:44

Thanks peeps for the dream reassurance and Doppler tips. On my way home and the Doppler has been delivered, DH is going to think I'm barking mad but hey ho it won't be the first time! I will attempt later when DC's in bed as she has taken to calling my belly fat and I think witnessing a doppler attack may egg her on! (and before I know it she'll be telling the world!)

Congrats on your scan JMF - loving the waving skills, was there a little thumbs up too?

Sorry for dissing the Quo Santa....once when i was young i went and saw Roxette (hangs head in shame!)

Hope your Bank Holiday weekends are filled with sunshine and happiness! Smile

GardenWorm · 03/05/2013 15:46

Ooh where are you going Santa and Baking?

JanieLovesCake · 03/05/2013 17:01

Ooh garden I'm jealous of your Friday night doppling!! My borrowed one hadn't arrived yet!
My friend texted this morning to say she was going did her first scan today at lunch time, no one else knew (except her dp) and I haven't heard from her. I'm really hoping everything went ok but worried about texting in case it wasn't Hmm what would you do?

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/05/2013 17:05

Eek janie... If it was a very good friend I'd probably text "thinking of you, hope all ok xxx" but if not that close I'd probably leave it.

Thanks for advice, if I can get an nhs scan I obviously won't be paying over £100 for one! Maybe will have to see GP after all... Had avoided it but made midwife app as I know how booked up they get.

Happy doppling and happy weekend all! X

BumpKitty · 03/05/2013 17:09

sorry went AWOL for a bit, 3rd scan = all still good, this baby is going to think it's a celebrity with all the pictures i have :)

Fluid round the baby looks fine and a normal amount. I should be 12+5 today but the sonographer did the head circumference measurement which said 13+2 there is no way i could be moved on 6 days (3 last time) so the baby has just got a big head = ouch!

jmf lovely news, congratulations :)
shell sorry you are feeling rough but glad your mw was reassuring and that you are on the mend
zeux that is karma for your shite GP Grin
ibip if i can go to a wedding at 40+5 then a concert shouldn't be any trouble!
janie i am shit at updating people even if its good news my friends text and ask me and I don't mind - i guess you know her best. She won't answer if she doesn't want to. Fx all was well.

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 03/05/2013 18:06

IBIP - was I right with Depeche Mode?
Doesn't sound like a mosh pit frenzy type concert not like the Meatloaf onces I've been to in the past. Yep I decided to share

If you are late - then might just be the thing to get you going. Or could be something to look forward to after baby is out?

Now if there was an Aerosmith concert coming up..... Grin

Great scan news Bump - but scary head size.Shock

IBelieveInPink · 03/05/2013 22:50

Okay okay. I'll admit it. At 40+5, I will be going to see 5ive. Yes, the cheesy boyband. possibly screaming like a hormonal 14 year old
Please don't judge me. who am I kidding
