Glad the cramps have eased for you blackholes and how are you this morning katerina?
Mine had eased, thankfully no blood, but i let out a huge sneeze this morning and it caused me to get a stabbing pain. I have read up about round ligament pain, but cant see how a 6wk pregnancy could cause such a thing?
I have had 4dc, so I'm wondering if it has took its toll on my ligaments around my womb-well i am hoping it is that as i don't even want to be thinking it's anything other than that.

Great that the cramping has calmed down ladies. I have also had it on and off throughout. Hope you are ok katerina? Well I am officially 11 weeks today! 7 more days until scan day! Am so petrified that I will go and have a MMC. Sickness seems to have calmed down last few days which is worrying me. Where is the sunshine? No sign here in the midlands / shires! Hope you are all having a nice bank holiday weekend and ladies at the horse trials had fun .

Morning all, glad the cramps have eased off Blackholes & Pumpkin, hope same for Katerina - know what you mean about sneezing, I have the end of a cough and have to hold my tummy when coughing as everything tenses up. I guess you have just inadvertently pulled something when you sneezed but it's all high alert down there isn't it!

DM is here for the weekend, she guessed I was pg before I managed to tell her. She thinks it's a girl, based on my feeling more sick this time (and hefty dose of wishful thinking)
Anyone else had the gender prediction thing going on yet? DH was obsessed with the Chinese Baby calendar last time

My Gp thinks I'm having a girl because more sick this time. What's a Chinese baby calender?

and happy 11 weeks lucky!!! i am 11 weeks tomorrow, next saturday scan day can't come soon enough. i'm petrified for the same reason. any time i think something bad might have happened, i try to thing that maybe, just maybe, there's a chance that things could actually be ok fx!

i was at a wedding yesterday too, got mega crampy for the second day in a row and being forced to dance didn't help. hope it's just the stretchy monkey in there. also keep getting the most awful pains after i eat. sorry for the TMI but i actually think i might die if i can't fart. i'm belching like a pig and am in agony waiting to try to pass the wind. is that indigestion? i've never suffered from it but oh my god it's awful. it would actually put me off going out for dinner as it's so uncomfortable. i'm also with you on the bloating, but moreso later in the day. how glam is this!

I'm not going public yet. Parents and a few very close friends know, that's it. Scan on Tuesday. Once I have a happy scan, and a happy test result, we will start telling a few more people. But going to keep it hidden from work for as long as I possibly can, so no big Facebook announcements or anything!
Scan in 1 day, 21 hours and 39 minutes. Can't go quickly enough!

Oh, an I have done a few gender predictor things, wedding ring over the tummy etc. most say girl, a couple say boy. I'm having girl feelings, but could be wrong. Guess all have a 50/50 chance of being right!

Yup still ok thanks for asking. No cramps but mild back ache as yesterday. No spotting at all so am just holding breath and trying to think positive (though also preparing for worst still ) glad others cramps have eased but reassuring to know its ok to get them and doesn't need to mean bad stuff is happening.

Well done on those nearing or reaching 12 wk mark. I long for that day xx

Congrats lucky & ibip And others who are near, at or past the 12w mark, cant wait to get there so my mind is at rest!
Still no bleeding, or many cramps so trying to remain positive that i am still pregnant for today and anything after today is a blessing.

Can I ask a dumb q? My cycles are normally 5 weeks not 4. So would that mean I'm now 5 weeks preg or 6?! (Found out a week ago was preg on what was my day of AF)

katerina it goes from the first day of your last period, regardless of how long your cycles are. Then it might get adjusted at the dating scan.

Chocolate, Chinese Gender Prediction has been wrong for both my pregnancies! Although some of the old wives tales came true with DS...having said that never had heartburn & he was a very hairy baby!

RE.weight gain, IBIP, I'm an hourglass too & put it on, on my waist before it evened out everywhere.
I've put on over the recommended weight gain with all 3 pg (including my 6wk mc), I seem to put on half a stone just getting a bfp!

I so wanted to marry Scott when I was younger, although Abs is a great boys name

There are lots of them about but here is a link to one basically Chinese baby calendar is a chart which takes your age and the month you conceived to predict gender. It was right for DS and for DH and I, plus also a lot of our friends.

Says we are having a boy though which doesn't fit with my mums theory so we shall see

Katerina - if first day of you last period was on a Monday, the following Monday you are 1 week, the next 2 weeks and so on. It doesn't matter when you ov or how long cycles are. This is how you are dated before 12 week scan. The scan is then used to revise your due date (and therefore working backwards how many weeks pg you are) you Mw will probably have a wheel to work out the times when you book in and in your next checks.

And thanks for the comments on weight gain. Good to know it may even out slightly, I look a little ridiculous at the moment!

Getting very very scared about my scan on Tuesday now. DH brought up the fact that baby measured smaller than we thought it should be at the early scan we had (not meaning to scare me) and managed to terrify me that baby hasn't been growing properly! Argh!

ibip it is just the pre-scan doom, I even got it on Friday when I had seen the baby perfectly happy the day before! It means naaathing, and as for the baby measuring small you really have no idea how long fertilisation and implantation took, (they can all be hanging around for ages up there before anything happens!) and... I got moved back two days at my early scan then on 3 days at my 12 week one. It'll all be good, I have very good vibes about this one

Oh and yes, my torso looks like a tree trunk (i.e. no waist) this is why all my trousers are now packed away and I have unpacked some maternity ones - which look really tatty! I guess I wore them a lot more than I realised.

Actually I just checked again on our link choc and it was right for DD! Ooh what are the chances! and it says this one is a girl too. I don't mind what I have but I have no experience with baby boy parts

Congrats on third trimesters ladies! Chinese predictor thing is wrong for both of my dc so taking it with a pinch of salt! Haha.

Katerina- where I am, they only change due date if you're out by more than seven days at the scan. Otherwise it's as others gave said, 40 weeks from day of last period. You might find you go "over" even though you technically haven't as you have long cycles, if that makes sense?! Glad you're feeling a bit better today

Shame about the trousers, will they do, or does this mean a whole new wardrobe is required? I'm Looking forward to being able to invest in some slightly looser tops. If I have good news tomorrow, the shopping trip is already planned for next Saturday!

Kat what the others said is correct, but I'd prepare yourself to be moved back at scans and not to freak if that happens. Do you know where in your cycle you ovulate? If you ovulate around day 21 and have a 14 day ish luteal phase then you will be a week behind where your LMP dates will put you. A lot of the due date calculators will let you adjust your EDD depending on cycle length.

(and I think that might make us due date buddies too - I got a BFP last Monday day after my period was due but have 30-31 day cycles so reckon I'm due Jan 6th and am 5+1)

kat i was in the same dilemma as you - i had 50 day cycles so approx 7 weeks. When i went for my booking in / first scan appointment they thought i would be 11 ish weeks although i was only 8, so on the plus side it meant i got an early scan. i think for your own timings, count back 4 weeks from your AF due date and that would be about right.

bump glad i'm not the only one turning into a treetrunk. and a gassy one at that. we have our scan on saturday morning so if things go well i might buy some new clothes in the afternoon :)

The Chinese calendar thingummy says boy for me - guess we'll wait and see! DH has just about come round to the idea of two girls, so that would be interesting.

ibip I can't remember about the socks - did someone's have squirrels on?!

Oh well my personal favourites were my socks that had foxes and squirrels and bunnies on them, lucky had ducks on hers I think. Mainly a novelty animal/bird sock seems to do the trick ;)
