Pregnant (IVF) Worriers

Hi everyone,

This thread is for all you incessant worriers out there, not necessarily limited to IVF-ers, although I get the feeling the people who have had trouble TTC are more prone to worrying than others!

A few of us graduated from the IVF thread (link below) and are having a go at our own thread to get out of the other IVF-ers hair! So get your roomy jogging bottoms on for some virtual hand holding, mutual symptom spotting and staying sane until the next scan date.

What a lot of posts. Just popping in to say woohoo to Shazza! That sounds great and it was very kind of the sonographer to tell you unofficially that everything like nasal bone and nt measurement looked good as they didn't have to. Hope you feel less anxious.

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 03:37

foody I think you can see the heartbeat from just before 6 weeks, but not always, so better to wait a few days You'll be fine by next week.

The no of weeks were done about two weeks ago, maybe we should remove as its confusing and just keep edd

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 05:04

shaz that's such good news. Tomorrow will be a big hurdle!

We are going to northern Thailand and then the beaches. We had planned to go to Cambodia and Vietnam before coming home, but now can't as they're malarial areas and I can't take prophylaxis :) so staying in Thailand

Shazzamattazzerly · 09/05/2013 07:53

Oh keep that sounds wonderful. So are you travelling now until you come back or is this just a trip? I've never been so I can only imagine what it's like from films and pictures. Looks beautiful.

Good idea about keeping EDD date on the list. Although mine changed yesterday. They decided that I'm 2 days earlier than previously thought. As that was my official NHS dating scan I've now got 13 nov as EDD which means I'm now 13+1.

Thanks Mariana. It was a relief but until I get the all clear tomorrow I'm not quite relaxed.

Have a good day everyone.

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 08:25

Nope, it's 'just' a ten day trip, my parents are coming to visit :)

Not like a couple of days will make a difference shaz... I don't think babies are that punctual. Let's let one of the ocd-ers update it ;)

Shazzamattazzerly · 09/05/2013 08:47

Oh that's nice keep. I bet they are excited about the arrival of a grandchild. Is it their first? My bro has 1DD the long awaited grandchild for my parents. Now he is expecting no2 and we have our little pip. My mum is thrilled. She waited ages now they are all coming at once!

I can't amend EDD via the app. I can go on the computer later.

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 08:57

Not their first, my sister's having her second shortly. But they're so happy as they know how long it took.

Shazzamattazzerly · 09/05/2013 10:27

Same as us!

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 10:32

I cried my eyes out when I found out my sister was pg first month trying, again and found it really hard to cope with talking to her about it, and then felt guilty etc etc.

It's first for my mil... Am anticipating some issues there... :)

blondebaby111 · 09/05/2013 10:35

Shazza, yes digi said 2-3, I'm sure it said on box doc's would make me 4-5. I have my docs appointment nxt week. I keep looking for symptoms but there aren't many at all Shock before found out I was eating like a horse and although I'm still hungry the only thing I'm finding is I feel quite uncomftable if I eat a big dinner now so I'm cutting my portions down xx

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 10:37

Yes, that's right Blondie. Any idea of ovulation?

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 10:38

Or last AF is what doctor will prob use.

blondebaby111 · 09/05/2013 10:42

This was the only month I didn't track it at all, wasn't bothered as starting ivf. I usually ovulate between day 9- 14 so sometimes fairly early but haven't really a clue xx

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 10:47

And now is day ...?
It doesn't matter all that much, just don't get a scan too early and then panic if things are behind.

Oh god, you're not a feather in the 'relax' camp are you... :)

MarianaTrench · 09/05/2013 11:06

I've had a few 6/7 week scans and I think they sometimes can't see a heartbeat before 7 weeks. Certainly my official viability scans have always been at 7 weeks.

Cambodia looks amazing. My sister lives out your way keep and they were there recently, and in Chang Mai. I am a bit jealous, we're having a 'staycation' this year but with lots of day trips to the many and varied attraction of the north west....

Foodylicious · 09/05/2013 11:33

Scan booked for next tuesday, eek!

blondebaby111 · 09/05/2013 12:32

Today is day 32 of cycle, officially 2-3 days late on cycle although I tested positive real early, last thurs :) no I'm a real worrier, I think its worse when you want something really bad xx

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 13:52

Hmm, so assuming 9dpo at the Least last Thursday, you'd be 4+2 today! But probably more :)

Shazzamattazzerly · 09/05/2013 14:18

Oh keep me too in fact when my bro told me I made my first post on MN and met you all. So in a way it was a good day. Smile

Blondie there feels so much at stake doesn't there? But take it slowly and you'll get there. It's brilliant.

Foody. So exciting. Tuesday is going to be a busy day in here next week.

Mariana I'm sure the north west has much to offer an adventurous family of four!Grin

Shazzamattazzerly · 09/05/2013 14:38

I've just been over to the IVF thread and found out that Noks is PG! Amazing news. it was natural, after failed IVF. Just thought those of you who came here from over there would like to know. Grin

Dildals · 09/05/2013 14:43

Get out of here! Oh, that's brilliant! Grin

Forgot to congratulate you btw with your perfect Shazzlett!

Isn't it great? And she is 5+5 so not that far behind. I'm so happy for her.

Thanks for the congrats. Just need to get to tomorrow at 4pm now. Nearly there.....

Foodylicious · 10/05/2013 04:32

Soooooooooo, been shattered all day but after many hours of work have nearyl managed to get stupid essay no1 done, gave in and went to be at 22.30 after a shower.
Woke up by 2am and here I am, shattered but still awake! grrr. might have a look at essay in abit but not sure that bit my my brain is with me yet. Not had a night like this for ages Angry

Shazzamattazzerly · 10/05/2013 08:14

Morning everyone

Foody well done for the essay did you get to sleep in the end? I feel your pain this morning woke up at 4 went for a wee thought great another 2 hours of kip and then......4.45, 5, 5.30 still nothing. And here I am on the bus to work absolutely shattered. I wouldn't mind too much but this is the 3rd time this week. Was it dildals who said she had insomnia earlier this week? Maybe our bodies are preparing us for the day when the beans pop out and life will be like this always Smile

Have a good day. Xx

MarianaTrench · 10/05/2013 08:49

I think that's probably true. Although I reckon I get more sleep with a newborn than I did when pregnant as I'm not so madly anxious and I've resigned myself to cosleeping. She'll no doubt still be in our bed when she's three but if it gets me five hours a night then fine, at least we have a king sized bed.

It seems like quite a few of you got pregnant spontaneously during IVF. I wonder if there's any research about that as a phenomenon?

Have a good day everyone, nearly the weekend!

Shazza, good luck with your results later.
