A place to carry on chatting after a BFP and support each other through the stressful bits. I hope to see many new graduates appearing....

JBrd I think a pyjama day sounds like a brilliant idea. I can understand what you mean about not being relaxed if you're told everything's okay. You do hear about women who bleed the whole way through their pregnancies and I've always thought how alarming that would be. Maybe it becomes the new normal! Hope today goes quickly for you and you get some answers tomorrow.

Vocalista lots of luck for today. Will look forward to hearing your news. Another vote for Option A and lucky socks. All this PMA has to be having some effect!

squizita · 17/04/2013 08:05

Good luck vocalista!! Smile I had a dream about lucky socks last night!! I was in a hotel on a work trip, opened up my bad and different socks were there and one pair was deffo lucky!! I also had a crazy dream about a broken old gate which couldn't keep the garden secure so it was all broken and covered in dog poo.... someone came and just had a look and fixed the lock, lo and behold the garden bloomed! Hope it is a good luck dream for everyone here! Blush LOLOLOL my CRAAAZY is showing Grin I am not a crazy mystic woman honest, TBH I am like the worlds oldest Emo/Hipster more like.

jbird yup know what you mean about nothing reassuring for long. I guess we just have to look at how many success stories are out there and keep being 'logical' about it because emotionally... I don't think a knicker checker can ever relax till she's done pushing and there's a baby in the pram!!

My pains are pretty much static and stable - scarily slightly stitch like etc' but they respond to paracetamol and are only pain scale 1 or 2, even if it's an (how-did-they-miss-it-with-all-those-scans-and-high-progesterone) ectopic with this low pain it would be stable (hopefully till Friday's hospital appointment). My MCs have tended to give 1 sided pains depending on where in the uterus they were and what side the cyst/ovulation was- and I know they were in the right place due to scans. So maybe it is just what the Dr warned me about, poor l'il sac has given up the ghost. Sad But I will keep an eye.

JanieLovesCake · 17/04/2013 08:21

Sending you all possible good luck vibes fur this morning vocalista! Don't forget the lucky socks Wink

Jbrd I think a pj day sounds like a super plan. As does making a good cake, then eating it while watching Ryan gosling movies? There was a good rainbow cake on the front of goodfood mag last month, looked pretty tough and the reviews were 'looked amazing, took ages, but tasted balls' so it might take you a whole day but then you won't have to eat it if it tastes yuk?

JanieLovesCake · 17/04/2013 09:13

Sorry I missed your post squiz, I really wish there was a time machine to fast forward time for you. Hoping the pain eases x

IBelieveInPink · 17/04/2013 09:19

Squiz- I had one sided pains, went on about them a bit if you remember!!
When I had my scan last week, I noticed she was scanning on the left hand side, the same side as my pains... So I think (I didn't ask at the time, was too overwhelmed) that bebby has implanted slightly to the left and that's why I was feeling pains there? I could be wrong, but just wanted to throw it out there!

Zeuxippe · 17/04/2013 09:42

Hi everyone. Paranoia is setting in today again as I had some sharp pains in my c-section scar last night. Stressing that scar tissue might be a problem. Has anyone else had something similar?

(incidentally, today is the exact day I started to mc last time - possibly why I'm stressed out!!!)

Vocalista86 · 17/04/2013 09:59

Hi everyone, 1 happy mummy to be here. My dates were spot on, and it was so amazing to see a proper baby with a strong heart beating away!! Dh and I were so pleased. This new hospital of mine, St Helier nr Croydon is absolutely fantastic. Grin

We even got a little picture to take away with us.

The lady that scanned me also confirmed that after 7/8 weeks when there is a heart beat, chance of mc is indeed rarer. Hooray.

Thanks so much for all your good luck messages, it was lovely to read them as I stressed out last night and this morning - woke at 6.30, nervous and starving!!

Zeux, I hope today passes quickly for you and your pain doesn't get worse.

JanieLovesCake · 17/04/2013 10:05

Yay vocalista!!! That's so brilliant!!! Delighted for you GrinGrinGrin

Zeux I hope you get through today ok, I've no c section knowledge so can't offer any help on that I'm sorry. Do something lovely if you can today or invent that time machine I'm always banging on about) x

Pentagon · 17/04/2013 10:09

vocalista, congratulations!! So happy for you! It's wonderful the feeling you get after a good scan, isn't it? How many weeks/days are you?

I hope everyone is doing well today.x

squizita · 17/04/2013 10:12

Great news vocalista! And glad to hear it's a good hospital, they make all the difference.

Vocalista86 · 17/04/2013 10:17

I am 7w4d now... Time is passing slowly! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

JanieLovesCake · 17/04/2013 10:57

I know vocalista, I'm just 4 days ahead of you

I like jbrds suggestion of a stats list :)

JBrd · 17/04/2013 11:00

Yay, vocalista, great news ThanksThanks What a relief!

I agree that time is crawwwwwllliiinnngggg... I' m only 8+3, but it feels as if I've been pregnant forever!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 17/04/2013 11:03

Congratulations Vocalista

Zeux, sorry it's a rubbish day today, no experience on C-section but I would guess if everything uterus-y is stretching atm you're likely to feel it worse on scar tissue?
I'm 23wks & haven't had the insane belly itching yet, guess it's because I was just jelly & flab before pg!

squiz, all the positive vibes in the world to you.
This pg all the pain I had early on was left side, exactly where the mc pain was.

JBrd, enjoy your pyjama day, hope time flies until tomorrow for you.

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 17/04/2013 11:23

Great news Vocalista

Finally starting to feel a bit sicky & off food - especially chocolate (faints.... gets back up)
This is weirdly making me happy. Up to now I just have the sore/bigger boobs and the odd "stretching" feeling down below. I didn't really get MS with DS but will be happy to be sick this time if it means everything is progressing along. will be complaining soon enough

I think I should be 5wk 3days - looks like everyone is having good scan pictures closer to 8wks than 7? Looking at when I can get a private one booked in.

JBrd hope you are having a chilled day.

Aoifebelle · 17/04/2013 11:28

Congrats Vocalista, are you going to frame your picture?

Zeux sorry you are stressy today, sore scar sounds ouchy, but maybe bean is just having a stretch? MC Anniversaries must be tough when still early in pregnancy.

Squiz I really hope you get some clarity soon. You are showing remarkable composure under really shitty circumstances. Big Big Hugs.

Today I am knackered and I just cannot be arsed to be a grown up. I just want to be tucked up in bed, with my mum bringing me soup and scones all day (unfortunately selfish cow is sunning herself on the Algarve). Any room under your duvet JBrd?

squizita · 17/04/2013 12:42

Heheheh I wish Primark stocked this 'duvet dress' - perfect for stressy days!! dervinbatarlo.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/00470m.jpg?w=500

shellshock7 · 17/04/2013 13:02

Thanks bump I've got my booking in on 30th so ill ask then.

Congrats vocal Grin you must be so relieved!

zeux can't help sorry, but hope today goes quick for you...good to get passed these milestones Smile

I'll start stats if anyone is interested

Wednesday 17 April

Shellshock7 2MC 1DS EDD 17 Nov Next scan 30 Apr

Hows that? Enough/too much info?

JBrd · 17/04/2013 13:47

Aoife You're welcome under my duvet (hmm, that sounds a bit weird, but never mind Hmm ). I can offer a flourless chocolate-lime cake and a spelt bread, if you're feeling peckish, too Grin

Sorry to hear you're scar is giving you trouble, Zeuxippe. Is that worth mentioning to the midwife? I'm sure that all is fine, but just to give you peace of mind. How long ago was your c-section? I've heard that scarring can be an issue, but usually at later stages, when everything is getting stretched.

Had a very lazy morning, but am also not feeling too great, just generally bleurgh. But no symptoms... Even the few ones I had been getting have now disappeared. Hoping that this is due to me taking it easy. Unfortunately, I have to go out now to get some stuff from the shops - mainly firelighters! It appears that the birds, whose nest was removed by the chimneysweep on Monday, have returned and started to re-build already! So I need to light a fire to make it clear to them that this is a no-no... Just hope I won't get any cooked birds coming down the fireplace. Stupid animals.
Sun's finally out, so might tackle the garden a bit more later. Need distraction - a close friend has had her 2nd baby today by ELCS, and I have to admit that when I saw the photo, I burst into tears. It's so hard to think that by this time tomorrow, my hope for DC2 might have been completely crushed...

Aoifebelle · 17/04/2013 14:09

This day just gets better. Just chucked up in Pret, not had MS so far, so came as a bit of a shock. I went in and there was a really strong smell and that was it - instant vom. I just about managed to make the bin, but there was a fair amount that didn't make it in there. Didn't know what to do really - really wanted to scream "I am not hungover I am f**ing pregnant". Just weakly apologised, paid for my toastie (no way I was leaving that baby behind) and high-tailed it out of there. Suppose I shall be getting my sarnies from elsewhere for a while. What is the etiquette when one chucks up in a commercial establishment?

Lucky13ForBaby · 17/04/2013 14:36

Aoifbelle - that just made me lol. Hope you managed to enjoy your toastie. I have started carrying a small bin bag around in my bag after a near miss in the m and a car park at the weekend! Thinking of you JBird and squiz. Great news vocalists :) 2mor is d day for me! Panic is really setting in now. I started taking a progesterone pessary on Tuesday following my appointment at the miscarriage clinic on Monday. That's an experience I can tell you. Thought I'd wet myself! Nice! Hoping that its not more bad news 2mor. This week Friday would have been the due date for the 1st baby I lost. Potentially a very bad week!

JanieLovesCake · 17/04/2013 14:44

Oh aoife you poor thing. I've had a similar fear so I also have a plastic bag (no holes) in my handbag just in case. And a bottle of water, and chewing gum, and some baby oranges in case I'm hungry. Haven't been sick yet (touch wood) but getting mega dizzies coming up to food time. Constant snacking on fruit seems to help.

Lucky I've got EVERYTHING crossed for you, don't forget the socks Smile what time is your appointment?

Lucky13ForBaby · 17/04/2013 15:16

Any specific socks I need to go for? My appointment is at 11.40 I think. Def check their is no holes in the sick bag ! Ewww! I was sick on saturday nifht adter eating peanut butter chocolate bar and am heaving every time i clean my teeth but not usually sick. Nauseea seems wors in the afternoon and bed time. So pleased all is well with you janie :)

JanieLovesCake · 17/04/2013 15:38

Aw thank you lucky, fx for you too :)
my particular lucky socks had foxes and squirrels on them. I would highly recommend a novelty sock :)

Jbrd you're making me NEED cake or some dessert! I might have to buy some kind if gooey chocolatey thing on my way home (and maybe just eat that for tea)

Zeuxippe · 17/04/2013 15:47

Thanks everyone, the pain's gone away for now-fx.

Sorry I never do long posts! Am only ever able to access this site on my phone...(blocked at work plus in a massive open plan office so it might be a bit of a giveaway as to pg status).

Congrats to vocalista! Really glad you had a good scan.

Thinking of everyone who's waiting for news... X
