A place to carry on chatting after a BFP and support each other through the stressful bits. I hope to see many new graduates appearing....

Hi everyone,
Hope your all having a good weekend, Hope everybody is well and little beans a ok too, haven't been on for ages lots of thing going off bubba making me feel dreadfull nausea 24-7 and so tired but I've had to have2 emergency scans been having cramps which were making me double over but on both scan bubba had a very strong heat beat and doing a little jig, I've got my 12 week scan in a week and half can't wait to see him/her again, one my first E scan after I was told all was ok before I saw the screen the first thing I said was " please tell me there's only one in there" don't think I could have coped with the thought of twins again not after loosing the boys.

Ha ha - no exercise and no sex will be the norm for DH's once we all pop (far too exhausted and no time on our hands!)....think of it as breaking them in gently! 😄

Oh cripes anyone not on phone that could start a new thread?

Report
JanieLovesCake · 23/04/2013 21:05

Oh thank god it's not just me. Poor DH isn't getting any and I haven't done any exercise since BFP so I think that's making me even lazier. Oops.

Enquired today about getting private nt scan, £295 gulp

shell and ibip [nods]

I mc'ed last time 24 hours after going 'properly' swimming. We were on holiday, and although we didn't DTD there was some other stuff. As a result - no exercise, no sex. 20w today Shock

Shell- same here. No exercise, no sex (poor DH) and still constant tears until 12 week scan.
On the plus side, 1 week, 6 days 12 hours and 14 mins to go!

Shell- I totally understand how you feel, I should have kept up my running but am too scared. As for sex- what's that??
Hope you feel less anxious and upset soon.

Black holes- I felt just the same about making an appointment.

For all those who bobbies are growing- it's better that than legs, tummy (fat no bump) and bum like mine is!!

Well now I'm convinced I'm expecting twins.
The evidence is I got a BFP at 3 weeks, I feel naseous all day ( in my other pregnancies it was just for a few hours) and I'm 37,
My husband would not be happy and it so wouldn't be easy with rooms, finances, cars etc but I'll be happy however many are in there - within reason!!
Scan is 10 days away.

jmf no way I would squat....no exercise at all for me or sex in PG I'm so worried that it could cause MC (I know this is irrational) I just avoid everything I can possibly avoid Blush

bod I'm shocked too, but good that you're philosophical abt it, not mad! Sorry you've got a cold Hmm We have booking in with 12w scan here so DH comes, but sits in waiting room apart from the scan...they don't want him there as will ask abt DV, tho Im sure yours can just leave for that bit?

No change in mood for me, still thinking the worst and having little cries, it's ridiculous Hmm

Report
andadietcoke · 23/04/2013 18:40

bod I didn't. It was 90 minutes long and was mind numbingly boring. He's been to (most of) the scans though.

Chocolate I am sure will be in ggs soon enough. I just got fitted for a soft cup bra after work and she put me in a 34e. I have never been a 34 before. More upset about that than a big cupsize. Got it on now and it's super comfy but sooo not sexy! Apparently your rib cage actually expands in pregnancy!

Lol Bodicea - I'm 32E-F normally. Am just busty at the moment, but hopefully will have to release the bad boys from the loft space soon (32GG crackers)
I'm guessing that working as a sonographer everyone around you is already well aware of what can go wrong early on, so am a bit Shock that a colleague wold do that to you!

Urghh have Zumba tonight and soooooo can't be bothered. I could get into bed now I'm soo tired.

The nurse that said it does know about mc as does the surgeon she said it on front of - I think he knew already as I had been chatting to him about clexane. But she went on to tell all the assistants working in the clinic that day. To be honest I am not massivy bothered as i was planning to say something at 12 weeks. it is getting blatantly obvious i am bursting out of uniform and I might get a bit more help of assistants with getting patients on and off bed etc - i scan loads of stuff other than babies so get loads of elderly pts - also saves me telling people myself which I hate doing. I am just a bit taken aback! Most of my sonographer colleagues know coz of the amount of time I have spent in epau and they are all looking after me!

Black holes it can happen - sometimes they just pop out before you get a chance to do anything!!!

My booking appointment is tommorrow. Dragging hubby along. Who is taking there partner with them to booking?

Report
andadietcoke · 23/04/2013 18:01

blackholes you haven't. Promise. It's just another milestone to get past.

bod you're kidding?! That's infuriating. When someone at work found out accidentally I threatened him with all sorts of unpleasantness (he's a direct report as well!!) and he kept quiet. I'd never have been able to forgive him if he outed me. Do they know about the mc? I'd be quietly saying that it's early days and you don't want to tempt fate by talking about it etc (if that's the case).

Oh and also, Bod how bloody rude of someone to out you so obviously and then tell everyone! I am [shocked]

Bod - that's what happened with us- she didn't hide the obvious boy bits, then asked if we wanted to know! Too late by then Grin

Hello people's,
Sorry it's been a while. I am rubbish. Away at weekend and out till 3 in morning despite not drinking. Get me! Paid for it all of next day though.
Now full of cold. Got outed at work by someone who said I was looking 'blooming' couldn't think what to say. So admitted yes I was up the duff. She then Proceeded to tell everyone. Not impressed. I can't believe how fat I've got so quickley. Can't fit in any of my bras bar one I bought recently which is 32F. Sob! I also have a chubby face. When I winged at husband he said well you are always eating at the moment! Queue long sulk.

Apogee I am going to read that book about French mothers and kids. I am sure it says French women ignore all this not eating this and that rubbish. I would so eat the quails eggs at least, possible all the other stuff too except the pâté

As to sexing babies. All sonographers are different. I tend to ask if they want to know quite early at start of scan one as conversation starter And two so I know how careful to be about hiding any obvious boy bits from parents!

Hi ladies and thank you so much for the welcome! It's so good to know that we all feel the same re: panicking about loss of symptoms etc.

I'm sure brown gunk is ok. Aoife- hope you're enjoying Paris; do you think anyone has suspected? Anda- good idea about the piece of paper. IME they ask as soon as it could be evident. With my DS the sonographer gave it away despite us wanting a surprise, so maybe before you sit down just say "I want to know everything is ok first and foremost but if you can see the sexes please keep it secret and write it on a bit of paper for us!" I'd also take the piece of paper for her. If I am lucky enough to get that far we'd like a real surprise this time.

Xx
