A place to carry on chatting after a BFP and support each other through the stressful bits. I hope to see many new graduates appearing....

Welcome Pentagon. It sounds like you have really been through the ringer. I have been looking at the harmony test as well. After a MC last time and an early scare this time, I think I would really benefit from the reassurance it provides. If I can get into FMC during my week 10, then I think the £180 price tag is worth it, but if you miss that window the price goes waaaaaay up - out of my price league unfortunately. I think they ask for you to be scanned at the same time as the test, so it is even more than £400, closer to £600. I have a scan at the EPU next friday so will take it from there.

jmf294 · 11/04/2013 16:41

Squiz- fingers crossed for you for tomorrow, I really hope there has been lots of growing going on since your last scan.

JBrd- hope all is ok, I had brown loss with my daughter at around 10 weeks and all was ok.

Hello Pentagon- good to hear about your experience at the FMC.
I phoned them last week to book a viability scan for 8 weeks which is in 3 weeks time. I was really impressed that they didn't make me pay up front and I am thinking of doing the tests like you had.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and has lots of lovely reassuring symptoms- this must be the only time you really want to feel really ill and have really sore boobs.

I am doing ok and my levels of anxiety are gradually decreasing.
I am now 5+2 and today got a 3+ on a Clearblue with a wee in the middle of the day so I was very pleased with that. Last time I didn't get a 3+ even at 7 weeks so pleased with that. I have 2 weeks to go until I get to my first milestone of getting further than I did last time- just taking one day at a time.

Zeuxippe · 11/04/2013 17:03

Hello to new people!

jmf glad to hear you're feeling positive.

jbrd sorry to hear about spotting. I've always heard that brown is ok though?

Afm, not a single symptom all day. Preparing myself for the worst Sad

Pentagon · 11/04/2013 17:04

Thanks for the welcome ladies! Aoifebelle you are right, it's £400 if not done during week 10. I am not sure if you have to pay extra for the viability scan in that case (or if it's part of the Harmony test) it's worth asking if you call them. It's great that you're having a scan at your local EPU next week, good luck! And jmf294 good luck with yours too in 3 weeks' time. Your Clearblue result is very reassuring.Take it easy and try not to stress!

Aoifebelle · 11/04/2013 17:28

Hold it there Zeuzippe! No need to roll out the panic wagons just yet. You know there are countless examples on here of women reporting symptoms disappearing only to return with a vengance. There is no reason why you should not be one of them. Now go and make yourself a nice cup of tea with a fat chocolate biscuit.

shellshock7 · 11/04/2013 18:38

Hi pentagon sorry to hear what you have been thru, glad you find us in the position you are now Smile

jmf yay for the 3+ Grin

zeux I have 'days off' all the time, it's worrying but the sickness comes back the next day!

One more sleep pink aaaggghh! Best of luck, I'll be thinking of you x

squiz and you for tomorrow, you deserve some good news Smile

jbrd how you doing now?

Nothing to report here, just plodding on waiting for 30th and my 12 week scan....since the early scan my brain keeps trying to make plans (names, ML choices etc) and I keep shutting it out till the next scan is hopefully all clear....it's just so tough isn't it.

squizita · 11/04/2013 19:07

Hi pentagon best of luck with everything! Such a scary time after multiple loss ... sending you positive vibes!

Shell & JMF Thanks for asking (and congrats on the clearblue situation JMF) ... Gosh just getting utterly nervous now. What I don't want is weeks in limbo, scared of every twinge. Great outcome would be "growing normally" but even "sorry it's not growing but is a normal embryo sac" would mean a simple (medically) loss, not weeks of waiting for surgery or sudden agony. Shock The strange thing is this is the most robust feeling pregnancy I've had yet ... not a spot on the knicks so far, sore boobs daily, bloods good. I can only hope but I dare not hope too much! Sad

GardenWorm · 11/04/2013 20:08

How are you now Jbrd? Did you try your EPU? Thinking of you and fingers crossed, hope you have someone there to give you a big hug in real world x

IBIP the scan count down must be under 24 hours now? I'm hoping you aren't in total panic mode. I'll be thinking of you and Squiz tomorrow x

IBelieveInPink · 11/04/2013 20:30

Thanks ladies. Sorry, I have been a bit quiet today as I am in total panic mode. Had my booking in appointment with midwife today and she asked me about previous pregnancies. Completely broke down! Oops.

I just can't bear the thought that tomorrow this happy little dream I have going could be over. Sorry, I am a bit miserable, I may just pipe down for tonight... Thanks for the lovely good wishes though :)

12 hours and 31 minutes

Vocalista86 · 11/04/2013 20:54

Hi all,

Jbird and squiz thinking of you both and fingers crossed!

I am really suffering with MS, it's been bad for a few days now but nothing I do seems to help and it's reeeally bad at night and is stopping me sleeping. My job involves quite a bit of travelling and I've got a fair few trips both uk and abroad coming up, how am I going to manage?! I'm really struggling to get to work and stay there all day at the mo and I read on the app I downloaded for day to day progress in my phone that it can keep getting worse until 10 weeks and I'm only 7 :(

On the one hand it's very reassuring to have symptoms but it's so hard to cope!

GardenWorm · 11/04/2013 20:56

Understandable IBIP but I have a very good feeling where you are concerned. Sending positive vibes your way, fingers and toes are crossed X

GardenWorm · 11/04/2013 20:57

Vocalista have you tried a travel sickness band? X

Zeuxippe · 11/04/2013 20:59

Thanks, sorry for being a bit irrational, just having one of those wobble days. Will be 5 weeks tomorrow and things started to go wrong last time at 5.5 weeks (and that was only end of Jan this year).

squiz and ibip thinking of you both and wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow x

Aoifebelle · 11/04/2013 20:59

Big day for lots of ladies tomorrow. Good luck and I really hope there will be a full complement of healthy blobs. Let us know how it goes xx

Zeuxippe · 11/04/2013 21:03

vocalista x posted, sorry. Does any kind of food help? Some people say eating before you get out if bed can reduce it. Others eat dry crackers throughout the day. If it's worse at night could you nibble at night?

GaryBuseysTeeth · 11/04/2013 21:24

Welcome Pentagon, sorry to hear of what you've been through. I hope your 12wk scan comes around quickly!
I didn't get mine until 14wks so spent a good few extra weeks clockwatching & pacing!

Squiz (hope you're no longer a squitzy squiz!) keeping fingers & toes crossed for you for tomorrow. x

IBIP, everything else I can physically cross is crossed for you.

Zeux, hope the next five days passes quickly, passing that previous mc point is such a relief (for five seconds, and then there's something else to worry about)...and you have massive boob growth or another symptom rear its head soon.
It's not gotten any easier for me as this one progresses, have been feeling movements since about 11wks but if it goes more than an hour without a kick I lie down & have a poke.

jmf for 3+!

JBird, hope everything is ok with you?
I had spotting at 7wks, which I link back to straining on the loo.

Thank you all for bitch slapping that magazine statistic, I think it just caught me off guard.

Re. sweets; Tesco have started selling blue&pink cola bottles. This makes me happy Grin
Tangfastics are ok, but they've changed man.

JBrd · 11/04/2013 21:53

Hi all, thank you for your thoughts and wishes! I was looking after DS in the afternoon, so no chance getting on MN (he goes crazy when he sees the phone or iPad and wants to play on it).
I had a little bit more spotting during the afternoon, but still not a lot, and still brown. I know that it's perfectly normal to spot during pregnancy, and I know people who had it all the way through - but I can't help thinking on how I had nothing like that when pg with DS, but then my mc started exactly like this... Even at the same time, nearly 8 weeks. I can't help worrying Sad
I've decided to wait and see what happens, before I call the EPU. We're out & about at this wedding tomorrow and Saturday, and nothing they would do now could reassure me much anyway, not after what happened last time. Really think I need to sit this one out...fingers crossed that it all calms down.

Pentagon Welcome to the thread and thanks for the info about the Harmony test! All going well, I will give them a call next week to see if I can book it (need to talk to DH first, even at the lower rate it's still quite an expense). Everyone keeps raving about the FMC, it's like the Mecca for pregnancy!

IBelieve & *squiz Fingers x for your scans tomorrow!

Zeux It's so hard not to worry, isn't it - one of the problems of knowing what can go wrong and having experienced it before...

Not sure I will ever be able to completely relax in this pregnancy Sad

Well, all the best to everyone, I don't think I'll be able to get back on here before Saturday evening! Try not to chat too much, it always takes forever to catch up with this thread if you're not on for a while Grin (Although it's not nearly as bad as the November 2013 antenatal thread!)

BumpKitty · 11/04/2013 21:56

gary you felt movement at 11 weeks! That's amazing, do you have DC already? I didn't feel DD till about 20 weeks I think, I would love it to be sooner this time.

ibip I'm sending you calming positive vibes, I'm fully expecting to break down at my booking appt too ( especially when I have to say about my mum) I expect it happens a lot. Big hugs for tomorrow, you'll be grand :)

And you squiz hoping for a happy end to your limbo x

Sorry for all feeling shit and those not feeling shit enough! I have ANOTHER stinking cold and feeling very sorry for myself and for DD who has it too :(

BumpKitty · 11/04/2013 22:00

Hey jbrd sounds like a good plan, I hope you can enjoy the wedding :) also, i wish id been more clever with our ipad, my DD dropped my DHs iPad on the kitchen floor this morning and it's now very dented and cracked - he was not a happy bunny

jmf294 · 11/04/2013 22:07

IBIP- will be thinking of you tomorrow morning as well!!

Bump- hope the cold clears soon and ggrr to damaged iPads!!

I hope will be joined by more TTCs who get their BFPs on fertile Friday!!

andadietcoke · 12/04/2013 07:01

ibip lots of positive thoughts, crossed things, and good luck wishes.

bumpkitty someone at work shattered their's and got the screen replaced for £70 from a company off the Internet - that included courier collection and delivery and looked like new. Not cheap cheap but better than the cost of a new iPad...

JanieLovesCake · 12/04/2013 07:21

Hi girls, hope you're all as glad to see Friday as I am. Good luck today pink, got everything crossed for you xx that goes for you too squiz xx

Jbrd I hope you're doing ok? It's horrid to see anything when you wipe, I had it last week but fx it's totally normal. Hope you can enjoy the wedding weekend

Sorry I'm on my phone so can't scroll back, hi to everyone else :) it's our 1st wedding anniversary this weekend, kinda glad our scan isn't til Tuesday as I would hate for our anniversary to be ruined by any bad news. Today we're pregnant!

A strange thing happened to me yesterday, a close friend (who knows we're TTC) offered me her cot yesterday as she's having a clearout!! She doesn't know I'm pg so I said maybe if I have a baby sometime that would be great!!! Don't know whether taking it off her would be jinxing it!!! She needs rid of it ASAP, she said she would give it to the charity shop otherwise Blush

Xxx

andadietcoke · 12/04/2013 07:43

Janie take it apart, put it in the loft/garage and forget about it. I have nappies and muslin squares and a bounty pack hidden in the lounge. If I can't see them they can't jinx anything... Wink

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 12/04/2013 07:51

(nervously opens door and peaks head round) Hello!

Next Fertile Friday joiner here! My BFP has finally showed up after a week of squinting at faint lines.

Will need to catch up with the full thread later but lovely to see so many familiar names on here

JanieLovesCake · 12/04/2013 08:07

Yay chocolate!!! Congrats again!! Those faint lines are such a tease! Good to have you here SmileSmile
