A place to carry on chatting after a BFP and support each other through the stressful bits. I hope to see many new graduates appearing....

Hey all! Just a quick one as it super late, but anyone staying in a premier inn who is in any way panicky, please note that the recycled toilet paper they use has red flecks in it which look very much like spots of blood! I just almost had a heart attack, full panic and then realised what was going on! I feel like I should write to Lenny Henry about this one!!

Hope alls well, bump sorry to hear about your sickness. Janie I am the same as you at the moment, just woosy, kinda wishing for more in a very wrong way! I'm sure I will regret saying that!

andadietcoke · 31/03/2013 08:31

ibip that made me laugh out loud. U know exactly the kind you mean - we had it in our downstairs toilet.

2nd toilet paper related lesson. If you have pregnancy rhinitis don't blow your nose while sat on the loo and then without thinking use the same bit of loo roll to wipe (after folding it over etc). I didn't realise I had a bit of a nose bleed...

IBelieveInPink · 31/03/2013 08:48

Haha! Diet coke, all these things that we don't even think about yet cause the most panic ever! So not fair!
We are with family this weekend. We were trying to keep it hidden for a bit longer this time, mainly because I don't want to disappoint people again. But my sil who is probably the most direct person ever just came straight out with 'so, are you pregnant'. Tried to bluff my way trough it but she didn't fall for it in the slightest. Quite annoyed now as so much more pressure! Argh! Still. 7 weeks today. Hopefully.

Lucky13ForBaby · 31/03/2013 08:54

Diet coke I did that last week and had a minor panic! Lol ibip glad all the panic was for nothing. Lenny must be informed. I am really hoping for more symptoms such as sickness and sore boobs as the lack of is worrying me :( getting scared for the scan Wednesday. Does anyone else have one this week? I have been much more cautios over everything this time round. Not even worked out a due date. My should be due dates are approaching in April and may which is sad :(

Lucky13ForBaby · 31/03/2013 08:54

Ou happy easter everyone [bugrin]

JanieLovesCake · 31/03/2013 11:08

ha!! ibip you should leave that comment on tripadvisor!! glad it was just the fault of the loo roll!! and anda you poor thing, that sounds scary, glad both of your fears were not real!

lucky still haven't booked for my early scan, i haven't heard from the hospital yet about my first scan with them, and i'm secretly hoping that they will ask me to come in for an early scan. you and i are both 6+3 today i think?

i visited a friend on friday who was 8 weeks ahead of me before my mc, she now has a 2week old baby (who is totally scrummy), but it only hit me while we were chatting away that i should've been due in 6 weeks, well actually earlier as i was expecting twins so could be less than that :(

but i'm trying to stay positive now, there isn't anything we can do about what 'could have been'. it is sad, reaaaally sad, but don't forget TODAY WE ARE PREGNANT and we are all doing everything we can to have a healthy pregnancy :) sending you a big comforting hug, and some chocolate [busmile] xx

shellshock7 · 31/03/2013 14:08

janie sorry abt the brown stuff...just gotta stay positive as its more than likely to be fine Smile And yes yes re doing the bathroom when you want not when DH decides...that's a regular argument here too Grin

bump sorry your feeling so rubbish, symptoms are good tho so try and take some comfort from that?!

anda I've done that in work and burst into tears before realising Blush

So after Friday being the shittest day and then having a lovely day at the zoo yesterday but still having that niggling feeling something was wrong, I've booked (well sent the online request) a reassurance scan for a week on Monday...will be 8+5 by LMP and 8 exactly from when I think I ovulated...I hate scans I'm gonna get into a right state before but I need to know so just gotta get it done Confused

squizita · 31/03/2013 18:19

Hi everyone mind if I join this thread? I am 5 weeks in (1 week since BFP) on my 3rd pregnancy, sadly the others ended in early MC. As you can probably imagine I am a bit stressed out by it all.

On the one hand it all seems to be OK, on the other because I've never had a pregnancy that worked even the normal symptoms scare the hell out of me (e.g. I have a dull tummy ache - probs wind or my insides stretching etc' but I keep thinking is it the start of a MC, why are my boobs just a bit tender not very does that mean I'm not pregnant enough - same with morning sickness, just a bit nauseous once a day etc'). I also have a mental terror that as this is my third if it doesn't work there is 'something wrong with me' even though I know this is just the usual time they do routine tests and it might just be bad luck or even if I have got a problem it may well be something they can fix. Argh!

IBelieveInPink · 31/03/2013 18:48

Ooh shell that's good. Yay for more scans. I wish mine was sooner!

Hello squiz. Congratulations. I am in the same position as you - 3rd pg, other 2 ended in mc. Also panicking about everything :) you are among crazy friends.

To those with pg rhinitis , I have had it for a while, non pg related. I don't know if it will help, but it has really helped me to understand tht when you feel like your nose is blocked, it isn't because there is goo up there, it is because the inside of your nose is swollen. Blowing your nose creates more swelling and more goo! I know how annoying it is, believe me (3 years on and off now) but it actually helps if you blow your nose less. Tends to make the swelling go down quicker if you see what I mean...

IBelieveInPink · 01/04/2013 10:14

Hello ladies, hope everyone is having a lovely Easter.
Quick question if you don't mind, my neurotic-ness is coming out again!
What symptoms do you have? This one is particularly for the early on ladies, but any further along ladies- what symptoms did you have at 7 weeks?
Having my usual panic and doing the productive thing of researching rather than sitting and crying about it [bugrin]

squizita · 01/04/2013 10:34

I am only 5 weeks, mainly I have had tiredness, very mild tender boobs, mild itchy boob, odd moment of queaziness, some smells are stronger not all - was v worried this is 'not enough' but several mums I know mentioned they certainly didn't have all the symptoms all the time. My own mum carried twins with few symptoms- she only figured it out 10 weeks, she even had mini periods. Also I work with a woman about to pop who LOVES her coffee allowance far from finding it disgusting. I think 'expecting' symptoms, thanks to the web, can be scary!

andadietcoke · 01/04/2013 12:56

ibip thanks for the rhinitis advice. After a five hour flight yesterday I felt awful. However, Cyprus is lovely and warm although I need to make sure I drink enough while I acclimatise!!

Symptoms at 7 weeks... Sore nipples (but only when I pinched them. Hard Wink), very occasional nausea, and I think the burping had started. Nothing else at all. The one thing I've found from pg friends and the September thread ladies is that everyone is different. One of my best friends didn't have ANY symptoms at all until she was about 8 months - I remember seeing her and her telling me it was the first week she'd felt pregnant. She has a lovely healthy 10 weeker now.

ION we were asked to be godparents for our friends' brand new little boy. I'm so touched.

GardenWorm · 01/04/2013 15:59

IBIP no word of a lie I had NO SYMPTOMS other than fatigue (but i was working 12 hour shifts days an nights) with DC1 please stop googling it doesn't help!!! (but you know this though don't you ;o)) X

Bodicea · 01/04/2013 16:32

Feeling a bit stressed out today as had a bit of bleeding last night. It's only a bit and I know it's common but the feeling of dread is returning. Spent the morning surrounded by friends and relatives with kids and feel totally miserable now. It feels like my lifestyle is set up for kids, most of friends have got them, we waited worked on our careers and got married ,moved to a lovely house in suburbia that is just aching to be filled with kids. Did everything right and feels like the babies thing is just not gonna happen as some sort of weird punishment for doing it all in the right order. Like I can't have everything. Sorry for feeling sorry for myself. I am a bloody mess at the mo.

IBelieveInPink · 01/04/2013 16:47

Oh bod, poor you. If it was only a little, don't stress too much, but equally I know what I would be doing. Are you going to the docs tomorrow?

Thanks for the reports on symptoms.

Diet coke, I am so jel you are in Cyprus! I have been daydreaming about a hol. Hope you have a lovely lovely time!

Bodicea · 01/04/2013 17:05

Might get one of my colleagues to scan me tommorow. Using all my effort not to sneak in today and have a look myself!!

shellshock7 · 01/04/2013 17:08

Welcome squiz congrats on your BFP Smile

How long till your scan now pink? Btw I had the least symptoms with DS than with any PG Smile

I went to Cyprus anda when I was 16w with DS was a perfect holiday, enjoy!

Really feeling for you bod how far along are you? Can you get to the EPAU?

shellshock7 · 01/04/2013 17:12

Doh I forgot you are a sonographer, you have more will power than me...how badly are you stressing is it worth goin today or will you sleep tonight?

Bodicea · 01/04/2013 17:19

No not gonna do it. Plus I think I still need an internal scan to see it as am 7 weeks and the scanner I can get access to doesn't have a tv probe so I might get myself in more in a tiz if I can't see properly.
Brig a sonographer is a bloody curse!

shellshock7 · 01/04/2013 17:40

I imagine that way madness lies bod no way you should attempt it yourself...I was just wondering whether you would go EPAU the same way anyone would if you know what I mean. Hope you're feeling ok anyway, try not to stress too much Smile

GardenWorm · 01/04/2013 17:44

Hey Bod no point telling you not to stress because I know I would be but your post sounds quite positive to me as you said it was only a little and you know it can be normal. Stay positive, try and see your job as a good thing: you know you can get a scan tomorrow X

JanieLovesCake · 01/04/2013 18:04

Oh bod I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it's nothing to worry about but I'm sure it's a real worry for you. Got my fx for you x

Anda, hope you have a lovely holiday, lucky duck!

Pink I'm 6+4 today (I think) and really waiting for some symptoms to kick in...do far I'm sleepy, burpy and a bit narky now and then...oh yeah and I might have felt a bit woozy but no proper sickness yet, although I did burp and have a bit if acidy kinda sick in my mouth (yes, delightful i know) yesterday and today. Mmm the joys! But that could've been from eating a bit too much.

Bodicea · 01/04/2013 19:12

Thanks guys,, I am feeling a bit more positive. No more bleeding so probably is nothing. Just want to fast forward time to 12 weeks.

Janie I have all the same symptoms as you. Burping all the time. Good job been with dh a while as not very attractive x

IBelieveInPink · 01/04/2013 20:01

You see all the stuff dr google tells me about 75% of people have sickness isn't really true is it? (I don't know why I am fixating on this by the way!)

Bod- completely agree with the wanting to fast forward sentiment. Am wishing each day away- shame we can't enjoy it!

Shell - scan is now 1 week 3 days and 13 hours. Can't go quick enough! Next milestone is 8 weeks, the point at which I mc one of the times before. That will be Sunday. Planning an entire weekend of not moving on the sofa!

jmf294 · 01/04/2013 21:03

Hello there, may I join you.
I was on the Creme egg thread.
I had a MC at 8 weeks in January- I was in the September thread briefly.
I had a ERCP and physically recovered but have been feeling really quite sad the as few months.
I was using OPK this cycle and according to them I didn't ovulate but last week when I should have been on day 24 I got a positive OPK so did a cheap honest which was positive.
Finally did a clearblue today and it was positive with 1-2 weeks, hate the conception indicator but as I just want the 3+ weeks result now!!
I'm 4 weeks tomorrow so it's early days and I am waiting for it to go wrong and have little hope but for today I'm pregnant.
I have 2 DC already and they really want a new sibling so hoping this one is here to stay.

I recognise some of you from the Creme egg and September thread- hope you have all had a lovely long weekend.
