A place to carry on chatting after a BFP and support each other through the stressful bits. I hope to see many new graduates appearing....

ooh shell that's a bargain! where do you live? :)

ibip yes next week, need to wait till pay day to book it as I have to pay a £40 deposit and it's been a tight month! I think I'll try and get Thursday which would be 8+4 or just 8 if latest ovulation date is correct. Will have to take DD with us which is not ideal if it's bad news.

gary good luck for the scan and happy shopping Grin very impressed that you have got so far without telling people!

almond hope the appointment goes well, surely if it was anything worrying they would have spotted it and called you in?

BettyFlutterbly · 26/03/2013 23:33

Yet another late night for me and the bump.
I seem to have missed a lot over the last few days, I just never seem to stop!

Great news about all the scans today, good luck for tomorrow Gary and Almond.

I have my 20 week scan a week tomorrow when I'll actually be 21+1. We are definitely finding out the sex once we know everything is fine with the baby. I am convinced it's a boy and oh says it's a girl. I'd love another girl but we'll see what happens.

I've just discovered I can get OBEM on youtube (I don't get English telly living in Spain, I'm in Galicia, north-west coast btw, I know someone asked which part a while ago). I am going to become birth obsessed if I'm not careful.
I've just ordered the Mongan method cd and book to see if hypnobirthing will help me deal with the pain this time. I had a twelve hour labour with dd and no gas/air or anything and hope to do the same this time only with a bit more control over coping with the pain!

I know it seems far away and we're all at different stages so labour isn't on all of our minds yet. I can't wait for us all to start telling our birth stories. Fingers crossed we all get there safe and sound.

Have a good week ladies, we're off to Oporto tomorrow for a few days in a spa hotel, it's only two hours drive away. I need a holiday so badly, dd is so exctied to be staying in a hotel, bless her she's not even three yet and she's getting a taste for luxury haha!

Happy Easter x

BoyMeetsWorld · 27/03/2013 07:56

Good luck Gary and Almond!

BoyMeetsWorld · 27/03/2013 07:56

Good luck Gary and Almond!

andadietcoke · 27/03/2013 08:06

Good luck with your scans Gary and Almond. So many measurements!!!

JBrd · 27/03/2013 08:58

Good luck with the scans today!

Am very Envy, wish I was that far along already. May seems such a long time away... And I still haven't heard from the midwife re booking appointment (but then again, I'm only 5+4, argh!).

Soooo - I got offered the job! They called yesterday, the formal offer will go in the post today Smile . So so happy about this, although I will have to try and negotiate a better salary, the one they are offering is really not great Confused
But I'm pretty sure that I'll take it, it's too good an opportunity to let pass by.

Now worrying about things like handing in my notice, starting a new job when pg, implications for mat leave and pay.... The worry never stops!

JanieLovesCake · 27/03/2013 09:45

oh jbrd that's brilliant!!! congratulations! i bet you;re over the moon! i have my interview at 2pm today, beginning to get nervous, but not as much as i thought. i think i just have too much other stuff going on (i.e. a wee bean in there!) to distract me! if i was to get it i would have to take quite a pay cut, but there's more scope for moving up the ladder...my current job has no prospects at all.

well done again!! x

IBelieveInPink · 27/03/2013 10:06

Congrats jbrd well done!

Good luck for scans today ladies :)

bunchofposy · 27/03/2013 10:28

Congrats Bod! I had a bit of spotting at that point too. Freaked me out but everything was ok.

Almond don't stress too much, I reckon they would definitely have called you if you had liver failure. Maybe it's something to do with your kidneys? I would have done the same though ref self diagnosis! I hope everything is OK - fingers crossed for you. Let us know how it goes today.

Gary good luck for today! Lol at you dress browing already. Hope it all goes well. Thanks for the heads up re. OBEM. I can't bear sad news at the moment so think i'll give that one a miss.

JBrd congratulations!!!! You'll be able to get a year's mat leave like the normal, and 9 months maternity allowance, so don't worry about that. The only hassle is having to apply to the government for it, rather than your employer sorting it out for you (happened to me last time).

Janie good luck today! What job is it?

x

BumpKitty · 27/03/2013 12:40

Omg I am so hungry! I hope there is a baby in there to justify the amount of food I just ate!
jbrd yey for the job :) good luck with the negotiating.
janie good luck for the interview, fingers and toes crossed :)

Right, scan booking has not proved as straightforward as I had hoped, first time they can see me is Monday 8th currently working out if I can leave work early and pick up DD late - don't need this stress.

IBelieveInPink · 27/03/2013 12:51

Ah bump that's so annoying! My place was really booked up too. If we are in the same week though we can be brave terrified together?!

Janie - good luck!

Vocalista86 · 27/03/2013 14:02

Hi everyone,

can I join you? I got my BFP nearly a week ago quite early on, I'm now only 4w4d and really finding it tough. I had a MMC at 7w3d but only found out the day before my 13 week scan last time (NY eve.

I've had quite a bit of nausea but today it's not as bad, which is obviously stressful as I know it's common to analyse every change in symptom and I want my symptom back!

Really I know that what will be will be but that is not helping me right now... Sad

JanieLovesCake · 27/03/2013 15:46

thanks everyone for sending the lucky vibes! interview went ok....usual crap of being given scenarios and having to tell them of a time you were in that situation and how you got through it and what t he outcome was (about 8 of them ffs!). i was so starving after i drove straight to mcdonalds and hoovered a big mac meal. i think the hunger is setting in.

hope the scans went well today girls! almond, how did you get on? hope all is ok?

and hi vocalista good to see you here - i remember you from the posifrickintivity ttc thread :) i'm only slightly ahead of you (i'm 5+6 i think) and also panicking on and off. i did another cheapo test earlier and it came up super dark before the test line so that'll be me happy for about 5 hours. ha! keep up the posifrickintivity spirit x

Vocalista86 · 27/03/2013 15:53

Janie hi, and yes that was me, not sticking to the fertile Friday rules...

Hope you get good news from your interview!

I've got 1 spare test left, but last time I tested possitive at 8 weeks despite mc at 7 ish so even a BFP won't help me this time. Argh!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 27/03/2013 16:20

Welcome Vocalista, good luck on getting your symptoms back.
I had really strong symptoms with mc pregnancy but nothing with this one until I was about 9wks.

Congrats on the job JBird.
Congrats on the Big Mac Janie, now you've made me crave one Envy hope the interview gives a positive result!

Enjoy your minibreak Betty, sounds lovely!

Almond, how did the apt go? Hope it's nothing too serious.

Scan went well...and...I don't trust my body! We're having another boy Grin
Really happy, but still a bit shocked as I was so sure it was a girl!
Told DH we'll have to have a 3rd, just to see if I could guess best of 3!
Hope all went well with you Almond

AlmondFrangipani · 27/03/2013 16:31

Hi girls,

Just a quick update from me. Apt went fine thank goodness! They think I've got an underlying virus which has caused the spike on my liver function tests. That will explain why I've been so frickin tired too! The've taken lots more bloods to check for viruses and more function tests to double check but my kidneys are doing well and that's the main thing!! Big phewGrin. Bambino has been kicking a lot today so making me relax.

Celebrating with an Easter nest cake nom nom nom!

Lucky13ForBaby · 27/03/2013 17:26

Hi all. Congrats on all the scans and positive test results. Ahh how lovely a kicking baby almond :) I have a scan booked through the early pregnancy unit next Wednesday. Think I will be about 61/2 weeks. Who else is having an early scan / had an early scan. Is it totally safe ? Am worried about it starting another Mc. These early days are such a worry!

Bodicea · 27/03/2013 20:35

Totally safe lucky. Just sits in vagina. Doesn't go any further, like a smear would x

Bodicea · 27/03/2013 20:40

Janieglad to hear interview went well. Don't envy you. Not had an interview for years. Wouldn't know what to do now!
The burning is off the scale at the moment. What on earth is that about?!

MissLolita · 27/03/2013 22:37

Hi ladies, can I come and join please? I'm 7+3 and had a MMC on NYE at 13 weeks. This pregnancy is so desperately wanted and we're thrilled that it has happened so quickly after the miscarriage but I'm in pieces about everything - a complete wreck in fact. I went to my GP last week and he has referred me for an early scan but the hospital have refused to see me before 9 weeks so I have to wait until 9th April which seems an eternity away. I feel tearful about everything and I have this overwhelming sense that something is wrong, which I know is irrational. Can't stop it though :( x

Bodicea · 28/03/2013 07:11

Congratulations Lolita We are all neurotic and worried here so you are in good company. Just think if you have a scan at 9 weeks and it is fine you won't have as long to wait till your dating scan and scans at 9 weeks are so much more rewarding than at 7 which are just blobs! But if you are truly worried could you afford a private scan a bit earlier?

JanieLovesCake · 28/03/2013 08:24

Hi Lolita :) congrats on your pg! I haven't heard from the hospital about when my first scan will be, wish they'd hurry up!

My sore throat has turned into a horrid cough, I'm actually worried I might dislodge the bean with all the coughing.

Off to get my blood pressure checked today, it was higher than it should've been last week when I went to the dr to register my pregnancy so they want to recheck.

JBrd · 28/03/2013 09:33

Hi Lolita, and welcome! I'm with you on the being a nervous wreck - I also had a mc over Christmas/NY, and then got pg straight away in my first cycle afterwards. So happy, and so scared at the same time. Thinking about getting an early scan, but can't make up my mind...

Janie congrats on your interview, I hate the scenario questions! When will you find out about the outcome? Hope your cough gets better, have you tried honey straight from the jar?

Glad to hear that you're OK(ish) Almond

Time is crawling... Wishing the weeks away, I just want to get over the 8-10 weeks hurdle, when it all went wrong last time. 5+5 today.
My sister is coming to visit over Easter, and we'll tell her. Not sure if I want to tell the rest of my family yet, my mum would worry a lot. Fortunately, my sister is very reliable, and as all my family are abroad, it'll be easy to keep it secret from them a bit longer.
DH, the blabbermouth, already told his parents Angry. Apparently, his dad asked him if we were ttc again, and DH felt he couldn't 'lie' to him... I have a different opinion on that, but hey-ho.
Oh, I can't wait for the long weekend - I only work half day today, and then it's off until next Thursday! And then I'll hand in my notice, sweet Grin

BumpKitty · 28/03/2013 09:46

Hi lolita I'm 7+ 4 today and early scan booked for the 8th of April so you can be my buddy :) is this your first pg or do you have DC already?

janie hacking cough here too and throbbing head :( I might try some steam inhalation, can we use Vicks? DD has the cough too so I'm going to get some today for her.

I still haven't told my GP or midwife, have you all told them? I just want to see the scan before making it official but maybe this is a bit silly as they may not be able to book my 12wk scan at the right time if I don't tell them soon...

JanieLovesCake · 28/03/2013 09:56

Hey jbrd, they said it could be as soon as today I'd they agree in a job winner but could be next week otherwise.

Sorry to hear you've got it as well bump, I'm not sure about Vicks, I'm scared to use anything now!!

I have a little bit of brown spotting today, (tmi alert) kinda watery browny/yellow colour when I wiped...I'm 6 weeks today, got panicky when I saw it. Don't know if I should be worried?
