Thanks for putting the link in Twocats, I forgot to check birth announcements - for some daft reason was expecting to hear the news under this thread....it's great news - Congratulations Arabica!!!

caitlinsmummy · 27/07/2006 16:17

Congratulations arabica!!! Welcome to your baby girl xx

wools · 27/07/2006 18:37

How are you bearing up Caitlinsmummy? I hope you can try to relax this evening. Wishing you all the very best for your scan tomorrow morning.

caitlinsmummy · 27/07/2006 19:03

Thanks wools. Just bearing up and no more. Dd keeping me busy. Worried sick, but only had it the one time when i wiped this morning not had it since x

HellKat · 28/07/2006 06:53

Morning all!!!!!!
Got back last night (finally), They were thinking of keeping me in longer incase I needed a blood transfusion (always been a bleeder).
I see my gorgeous other half did an amazing job of keeping you all up to date!
After I've drained these HUGE puppies (gone to nearly 42d & got a lovely electric pump to express for her), I'll get my booty into gear & get my rather graphic birth announcement posted. Will forwarn you all, it was horrendous! It's true what they say lol, 3rd & final labours are ardous.
She's doing brilliantly. Up to 26mls every 3hrs (probably 32 by now), getting chunky & truly a little princess. Definitely does'nt look like a premmie at all.
HUGE CONGRATS to Arabice too!!! Well done.
Take care all, love & hugs to all.

Arabica - congratulations to you too!

FN · 28/07/2006 13:52

crashing,

caitlinsmummy so pleased all is well for you and you can relax a little and great that you are further on that you thought

mia84 · 28/07/2006 14:25

Aww im so glad Cm!!
I bet your so relieved! And your further on than you thought so one less week to worry about! I hope its less stressful for you from now on! No more worrying girl!

caitlinsmummy · 28/07/2006 14:35

thanks mia and fn. do you think i will b ok now? cant help but worry a little til 12 weeks xx

mia84 · 28/07/2006 14:41

Im sure i read that once you see a heartbeat at8 weeks its 97% that all is fine? or something like that!

twocatsonthebed · 28/07/2006 14:46

that's great news, caitlinsmummy - to second what mia84 said, I think that once they've seen a heartbeat, the chances of miscarriage are down to exactly the same as they would be at any stage of a pregnancy - so just 1 or 2%.

Hope you can relax a bit more now, I know it's easier to say than do...

caitlinsmummy · 28/07/2006 14:59

Thanks mia and 2cats, i thought that 2. We are over the moon, my fiance is away to see his dad with scan pic!! xx

weewilliewinkie · 28/07/2006 15:02

Wonderful relieving news for you caitlinsmummy - and it's great that you're that bit further on than you thought! There's about 1 week between us, so I'm with you all the way...you'll be just fine.

I send a few moments every day talking to my beanie, makes it all seem more real and positive. Every time you get worried, just think of the scan you saw today, and the heartbeat. That'll help you. focus on that heartbeat getting stronger and stronger! When is your next scan?

caitlinsmummy · 28/07/2006 15:06

Oh really weewilliewinkie? Thats gr8 we are due around same time!! It is so scary isn't it?! Next scan wont b til 12 weeks now. You? Have you had scans yet, when is your next? How many weeks are you xx

weewilliewinkie · 28/07/2006 15:38

I'm due around Feb 19th-24th, they said it's too early to give me a date yet. I'll aim for the 19th as that makes me 11 weeks tomorrow! However, by the date of my last af it's the 24th.

It is terrifying. I'm getting very weepy at the moment as the baby I miscarried would've been due in a couple of weeks. But I'm trying my best not to worry. I had a scan at 6/7 weeks and one on Tuesday just there - both were great. Next one is booked for the 15th. I live in germany and they're amazing about looking after me - they let me be as paranoid as I want and will scan me at the drop of a hat. Very reassuring!

weewilliewinkie · 28/07/2006 15:39

not 11 weeks tomorrow, 11 weeks on Tuesday - I'm getting ahead of myself here!

wools · 28/07/2006 17:10

Congratulations Hellkat and well done - it sounds like you've been through the mill. Looking forward to hearing all the gory details.

Caitlinsmuumy - That is fantastic news - I'm so pleased for you. I had some unexplained bleeding early on in this pregnancy too - you can't help but fear the worst can you. I hope you can relax and enjoy your weekend now

caitlinsmummy · 28/07/2006 18:18

Hi weewilliewinky, I was having a lie down, chin up about miscarriage baby, you are fine now. I still cant help but worry. Do you think i will b ok now? Thats good that you get a scan whenever you want, here is a lot different believe me!! Youare lucky. Thanx wools i am very relieved xx

weewilliewinkie · 28/07/2006 18:26

What's your gut feeling about in, caitlinsmummy? I think you'll be ok, yes. You have to be positive - negative feelings raise your stress hormones and that can't be good for the baby. Focus on all the good statistics surrounding pregnancy - the ones 2cats and mia84 said are excellent for a confidence boost!

caitlinsmummy · 28/07/2006 18:31

My gut feeling says i will be fine but still scared xx
