Glad the bath helped....7weeks - only 5 to go and you can relax more

diddle · 21/07/2006 15:08

snowboo - any news??

finally i can type two handed, Josh is napping at the moment, hopefully for longer than 30 mins. I expected the heat to make him sleepy but its made him awake and irritable poor little boy.

HK - How are you doing? hope you're getting on ok, i'm keeping an eye on you

Caitlinsmummy - Hope your pain has eased, Baby is well protected in its little ball of water, but you did the right thing, and keep an eye on it.

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 15:32

het diddle. am ok thanks. pain very mild not there all time. but just really worried about it xx

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 15:33

Can't wait wools! Really can't xx

HellKat · 21/07/2006 15:54

Hiya all.
Caitlin's- Glad it's easing off, you'd be surpirsed just how resilliant little beanies are. Rest up & take it easy.

How's everyone?
Still feeling rough here & as luck would have it (not!) I had more of a show & pains. Lol typical or what. It's roasting hot, I feel dizzy & out of it & today of all days I get a nesting instinct!
Oh well. Not expecting things to kick off, after all I've had my show with this one on/off for 5 weeks & as for cramps & contractions, those have been on/off too.
So about to stuff my face, clean the kitchen & then relax in a clean house & wait.
Wools- congrats on 28wks! Wow it's all going so quickly!
Sb- Here's hoping the chinese will set you off.
Diddle- Great to see you hun! I'm still here, just about lol. Hope she hangs on until Monday so I can find out how much she weighs at the growth scan.

Hi to everyone else xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 16:10

THANKS HELLKAT. REALLY REALLY WORRIED THO. WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO KNOW THE BABY WAS OK XX

HellKat · 21/07/2006 16:51

Caitlins- You're welcome. Just try to take it easy. It's easier said than done I know. xxx

mia84 · 21/07/2006 16:56

Hi caitlins mum. I had a small bit of very light brown discharge today, and i am debating wether to go to A&E. Its just i dont want them to think im silly.

Its all a bloody big worry. Chin up chick!! You'll be fine! xxx
How far gone are you?

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 17:03

HI mia84, i AM 7 weeks today. Just called midwife again at hospital. she said baby at this stage is protected by the pelvis so any pains i have will be with caitlin jumping onto my tummy and she sais the baby will be absolutely fine and the pain isnt related to baby at all. hope she is right eh? Just cannot relax, had 2 miscarriages 2 years ago, caitlin from previous relationship. I would go get checked mia. I have had 2 early scans so far as i had tiny bit spotting twice, i felt like i was annoying them too, but a didnt care as its your baby at the end of the day not theirs, and if you are worried thats all that matters, so you get some reassurance, but i am sure everything is fine, how far on are u? x

mia84 · 21/07/2006 18:41

I think im about 7 weeks. I rang nhs direct. they were really nice. said to rest and ring doctor if it gets worse. The discharge was VERY light brown though, and a tiny tiny amount. like less than a teaspoon and very watery. no pain. but im ready for bad news tbh.

If you dont mind me assking how old are you?im only 21 so chances of mc are supposed to be lower isnt it? I wont stop worrying.
I'm glad your ok, are you on the march antenatal thread?
Hopefully we can get to know each other better, as we are quite close with dates ( god willing )

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 19:13

I know how you feel. I have had 2 early scans and each time prepared fr worst but last week, well jus over a week now, a got a heartbeat. I had my miscarriages 2 years ago, one at 5 weeks and a missed miscarriage at 7 1/2 to 8 weeks which I didn't find out about until my 12 week scan which was terrible, had to have a d+c. So I am so so scared too this time. I am 25 Mia. From Scotland, where are you from? We just have to relax, wasn't on the antenatal thread before, no. I went for my earl scan , I thought i was 2 weeks further on but they said i was nearly 2 weeks behind what i thought. Don't actually no if i am exactly 7 weeks yet or not. Had last scan last thursday and they said baby measuring just under 6 weeks, said i could b 5 weeks 6 days , so a just took it as last friday i was 6 weeks, said my 12 week scan will be more accurate. Lets hope I get that far with healthy baby

slinkstah · 23/07/2006 15:57

wow catching up on here has become difficult with the LO demanding my attention every second!
hope you are all well.
HK- how arre you doing?
arabica - good luck with the section, what day is it? ill be thinking about ya
snowboo- glad the stitch removal went well, im sure you wont have to wait as long as i did! how are you feeling? have you had any sharp pains in your cervix? or is that just what happens to my crazy cervix when its dialating.

Arabica · 23/07/2006 22:10

Hello everyone, sorry to hear about the pains/discharge--if only we had some way of knowing our babies were doing OK. I remember hearing a story about a woman in the 1st trimester who went on a parachute jump (she didn't know she was pg). Her 'chute failed and she had various injuries. But her baby was absolutely fine! So they are extremely well cushioned in there. I think the worst part of early pg is knowing that there is nothing we can do to prevent a m/c unless there is a previously diagnosed problem...which you won't generally know about unless you have been through the heartache of previous m/cs.
Well, just 4 days to go until my C/s. Bags packed, pineapples being eaten in hope of it happening early (unlikely but you never know), last-minute sortings-out being done.

Arabica · 23/07/2006 22:11

Oh forgot to add, Mr Arabica is going to text my homegirls bundle and hoxtonchick with birth announcement so look out for their post on 27th or 28th depending when we're able to send the message.

emkana · 23/07/2006 22:11

Arabica! Just spotted you there! Just wanted to wish you the best of luck for Thursday (is it Thursday?) - will be thinking of you!!!

Arabica · 23/07/2006 22:14

Hi emkana was just about to look for you! I'm totally sick of being pg and feel ready as I will ever be to face whatever the future brings for my baby. I'm so huge and disabled by the heat and my swollen legs. It's surely a case of 'better out than in'!

emkana · 23/07/2006 22:17

Absolutely!!!
Ds is just having a bit of milk as I write this.
Today he has given me his first big wonderful WONDERFUL smile.
It so makes up for all the heartache and the worrying!!!
I hope so much that your baby will be fine and that you will be able to have lots of cuddles with him/her (do you know which?) on Thursday!

Arabica · 23/07/2006 22:45

I didn't want to know the sex as everything else had been so hi-tech (the inside of its brain has been investigated, fgs) that we wanted to discover at least something about the baby the natural way!
I think baby's going to special care almost straightaway for a check-up but if it's breathing OK and no obvious probs am going to be allowed to say hello and hold him/her immediately.

emkana · 23/07/2006 22:53

Well good luck,
I bet you will feel totally overwhelmed, just like I did, when you finally hold this baby in your arms.
All the best for you and your family, ich drueck die Daumen!!! (which means good luck in German)
XXX

twocatsonthebed · 24/07/2006 17:36

oooh Arabica - good luck for this week. Hope the pineapple is working its magic even as we speak. And to you too, Snowboo

caitlinsmummy - hope you are feeling better and that it's all ok.

Am assuming everyone else has evaporated in the heat....

caitlinsmummy · 24/07/2006 18:37

het twocatsonthebed, i am feeling better but just hope baby is ok in there, what du think?x

Arabica · 25/07/2006 00:23

Still here, despite lots of pineapple I think baby fancies staying nice and snug until my C-section on Thursday.

littlefrog · 25/07/2006 06:53

Hello there, can I join?
I had a missed miscarriage at the start of June at a little over 10 weeks. Was my second miscarriage, though the first was years and years ago (no children).
Am a bit surprised to be pregnant again so soon; husband wanted to wait a bit longer, and we both thought we'd missed the moment.
Anyway, although I'm really really pleased, I'm also so scared... I feel as if there's no point at all in even daring to imagine that there might be a baby at the end of this - seems as if there are so many disasters that might happen in the meantime. Had a dental x-ray last week, which worries me and which was probably stupid. Feels as if I'm tempting fate even writing anything here - let alone joining an antenatal thread. How do you all cope with these kinds of feelings - I'm sure I can't be alone in all this muddle!

wools · 25/07/2006 07:21

Good morning everyone.

Congratulations Littlefrog and welcome. You're not alone....we all have the same anxious feelings so you're in good company.

Arabica - only 2 more days to go...can understand how you feel...the last few days are the worst....Nearly there though now.....
All the best for Thursday.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

mia84 · 25/07/2006 08:39

Heya little frog. I feel exactly the same as you - like writing here is tempting fate. I dont dare to think that im having a baby!. I had a missed mc last august, and im panicking like hell this time round. I was quite ill after though. All 'products' werent gone, and i ended up back in hospital a month later to have a d&c. Cant help thinking the hospital could have avoided this! They should have known all was not right when i was fainting and passing clots the size of my hand ( sorry way TMI).
We'll just have to be positive there are loads of others on this thread in the same boat. FINGERS CROSSED!
