Hi everyone - sorry i have been away for so long - i have been reading the posts, just not joining in - my way of coping i suppose.
Welcome little frog - it is very very hard - i had my 12 week scan yesterday after a missed m/c in feb. Everything is ok, but the build up to it was horrendous. Like you i didn't want to think ahead to actually having a baby, and thought that my pregnancy symptoms were all in my head. The scan was the worst moment - as it was at the scan i found out last time. I basically squeezed dh's hand really hard and shut my eyes till she said it was ok!
Now although i am not completely relaxed, i feel i can at least start enjoying this pregnancy.
Has any one heard from weewillywinkie - she hasn;t been on here for a while - i hope everything is ok.

bundle · 25/07/2006 09:24

just bobbing in to say hi Arabica, been thinking about you love bundle, xxxx

Arabica · 25/07/2006 10:33

Thanks bundle xxxx am OK but a bit scared.

twocatsonthebed · 25/07/2006 11:36

Morning everyone and hello and welcome to littlefrog. If it's any consolation, I am now 26 weeks and still have bought nothing at all for the baby (it will, if all goes well, be my first too) for fear of jinxing something, so as Mia said, we're all vey much in the same boat, but it does get a bit easier as you go on.

Bobbynog - so glad your scan went well. I was exactly the same with my scans for this pregnancy, as the only scan I'd ever had was to diagnose my missed miscarriage. Do hope you can relax a bit now.

And how, how are we supposed to survive this heat. I am feeling hot, lumpy and decidedly unglamorous, so if anyone has any hints as to how to feel better, I'd love to know.

weewilliewinkie · 26/07/2006 21:11

Hiya ladies,

Just popping in for a while...been on holiday in France for a week - very nice indeed but not so nice to watch everyone else tucking into the vin rouge and me not able to join in! Never mind - it'll all be worth it.

Hellkat - many many congratulations! Absolutely fabulous news.

Bobbynog - how totally sweet of you to be looking out for me - I'm really touched - thank you. How are you?

I had another scan yesterday and all is well. 10 weeks now - slowly getting there I guess. I did have an utterly horrible moment at first as I couldn't see beanie's heartbeat, but it was there alright! The doc shoogled my tummy with the scanner and we watched the bean wriggle about in reaction - the doctor also said she could see the yolk sack and that this was a very good sign...what is that? I have to plead ignorance here - I'm guessing it's something to do with the placenta? Any ideas?

Anyway, I have been around here but not posting, just lurking. Didn't want to be tempting fate, but I think I'll hang around a bit more, if that's ok? Only 6 more weeks till I'm out of my danger zone (m/c at 15+2 last time), and I could do with the support that is provided in such abundance on MN.

HellKat · 27/07/2006 00:16

hello all,

jen is doing great and lil 1 is doing great. she's absolutly perfect no problems with her what so ever. small but perfectly formed as they say lol, every1 is impressed with her (doc's midwives etc etc).

Hello Ladies - just popping in here to wish Arabica good luck for today. x

caitlinsmummy · 27/07/2006 08:56

HI everyone, hope you are all doing ok.
Congrats hellkat! N good luck arabica! Had bit of bleeding this morning but gone now, I am so so worried, Getting hysterical. Phoned hospital and they have me booked for scan tomorrow. I just feel that the midwives are so cheeky sometimes, like you are wasting their time.. the one i spoke to said " im not being unkind but if you are going to miscarry a scan wont help"! I feel that is insensitive xx

FN · 27/07/2006 09:03

Crashing...

MR Hellkat nice post and Katie is a lovely name.

Arbabica All the best for today xx

Caitlinsmummy...we haven't spoke but you get all the scans and support you need good luck for tomo

wools · 27/07/2006 09:58

Morning all.

Congratulations Hellkat and hubby on little Katie - fantastic news. So pleased to hear they are both doing well.

Arabica - You are probably in hospital by now - wishing you all the very best today. Thinking of you.

Caitlinsmummy - Sorry to hear how you were spoken to by the midwife - very insensitive and unkind. I hope you don't find the wait too long now until your scan tomorrow. All the best.

bundle · 27/07/2006 10:35
