Think I am miscarrying hand holding please

Hi, I know its early but I just woke about an hour ago to a trickle of bright red blood, went and had a wee and a clot about the size of a golf ball came out, followed by more red blood, I checked clot and it doesnt look like a fetus, just a clot. im 9.5 weeks and dont know where to turn to at this hour.

Call your doctors 24 hour line or Nhs direct as a start point. Good luck and I hope you are ok

Im not in any pain yet, I dont know if i should wait til 8am when i can ring community midwives? I am still bleeding and feel quite shaky :( No partner as I am doing this alone, I feel quite lonely right now x

Oh green - well I'm here lovely. Keep talking if you want but I would suggest using a pad & making a cup of tea and trying to get some rest.

Fwiw I had bleeding in both my first two pregnancies and they were fine.

Well I have been laying in bed for the last two hrs seems I wont be getting any more sleep tonight. I'm gonna wait for the midwives phones to be open and see what's what. On the plus side very little blood and no pain but very scared xx

I have 3 dc but no work thank god. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that all is ok xx

Don't be alarmed when you stand up if you loose a little more blood - it will have sort of collected IYKWIM

try staying off your feet and lying in bed. it may be possible that it is early preg bleeding. you will probably need to do blood work today and then the next to confirm the preg or unfortunately an mc.

Well Im trying to rest! Cant sleep anymore only had a couple of hrs last night :( Im just waiting til 8 then i can try and get hold of my midwife, Oh and to make me feel worse my dating scan appointment has just arrived, broke down in a flood of tears and worry. From not being happy about this baby I am now totally petrified i have lost it :(

I have been where you are and it's awful waiting and not knowing so I hope you find out either way very soon so you can relax a little and get some rest.

I had a mc at the end of October, told MW's & still got a scan date through a week later, it's such a low blow.

Is there someone/somewhere you can plonk your DC whilst going into hospital?

Green if you don't hear anything soon ring your GP or try contacting your local early pregnancy unit directly. Many will take self referrals and offer a walk in service.

I'd go via GP to refer for an early scan, or go to A&E, not sure how helpful the MW will be at this stage.
