Think I am miscarrying hand holding please

Hi, I know its early but I just woke about an hour ago to a trickle of bright red blood, went and had a wee and a clot about the size of a golf ball came out, followed by more red blood, I checked clot and it doesnt look like a fetus, just a clot. im 9.5 weeks and dont know where to turn to at this hour.

Honey I strongly suspect the mw will just say to wait and see. Try and find the number for your Early Pregnancy Unit at your hospital. Tell them how far along you are and how much you've lost and they should bring you on for a scan. Mine did when I went through something similar at 11 weeks. I was lucky in that it was normal early pregnancy bleeding. I do hope it's the same for you.

Another hand to hold here. If you have an EPU near you I would give them a call and see if they will scan you today. Fingers crossed the bleeding is nothing x

Well Midwife rang and she seems pretty sure that I have miscarried, Will have a scan Monday morning to confirm it, Feeling quite upset right now, im gonna go lay down of sofa and have a good cry xx

green I'm so sorry the MW wasn't more reassuring Sad however, IME it can go either way. Please try not to lose all hope. In my first pregnancy, I had bleeding at 13+3 and the bleeding got heavier until I lost ALOT of clots and eventually MC at 13+6, in my second preg I had clotty bleeding at around 10 weeks that stopped and I had my DD, I have since had 8 more MC (i have Lupus and APS) and the bleeding always carried on until I MC...if you have no pain and the bleeding as stopped, I would try and be cautious and rest a lot and badger the nearest EPU/gynae emergency (that's what it is called in my nearest hospital) and ask for an earlier scan as a 4 day wait is not really very nice. I'm here to hold your hand whatever happens good luck and try and rest...oh, and keep posting as it may help to talk it out here

I second what marbles said. I'm not sure that your MW should have been so confident that you've miscarried. I've had 2 episodes of heavy fresh bleeding this pregnancy and all is ok (fingers crossed) .

Started bleeding again just a minute ago there is some stringy stuff as well.still no pain but I expect it willl come. The cruel thing is I still feel really sick:( xx

green if the bleeding gets any heavier I would call the EPU or go to A&E just for some advice/possibility of an earlier scan. It is a good sign that you have no pain and symptoms are still there...

green they advice you to go to A&E if you bleed heavy and clot. So please do so if this happens, soory your going through this. Best of luck! Thanks

Go to A&E tomo am. You can't wait over the weekend.
I had same thing and my midwife said to me
over phone-'it's prob a mc. Yes sounds like it'.

Without wanting to dismiss real fears, i wasnt having a mc but i did bleed with clots up to 20th week. Now 27.
I agree with the others it really could go either way. Please just go to a hosp tomo or walk in centre. Really wishing you the best. Hand holding too.
