My boobs have been really sore for about a week, so bad I've bought a three pack of those ugly bras, I've always had tenderness before a period, but only for a day or so, I've also noticed a strange taste in my mouth, not enough to think much about it, until now, I've just read an early sign is a metallic taste, and that's the taste, couldn't put my finger on it before.

Slight twinges like mild period pains and wind.

I still don't want to believe it, I'm 39, this will be my first if I really am, but reading that about the metallic taste kinda made a light come on.

Early pregnancy symptoms REALLY feel like a period coming.....That's rather confusing.

I don't have anyone to tell, my husband is sleeping.

Blimey!!!

Shamelessly marking place

iloveholidays · 17/11/2012 08:26

Is that how it works Orange? I've just had my third and DP has always just told me to get on with it :). Think I moan too much :)

WorrisomeHeart · 17/11/2012 08:27

Ooh exciting!!

When I got my BFP, DH still went and had the sperm test we had booked for that day (we were due to start fertility investigations)!! He didn't really believe it for at least a week!

cogitosum · 17/11/2012 08:27

Good luck! I'm about 5-6 weeks so if it's + we'll be due around the same time Smile we can start a July antenatal thread!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/11/2012 08:27

Oh he is obviously trying not to get his hopes up.

Still annoying!

OrangeLily · 17/11/2012 08:31

Iloveholidays..... I was trying to be positive for her! Head stuck in clouds!

iloveholidays · 17/11/2012 08:33

Orange... It did make me giggle!!!! I think I play the sympathy card a bit too much when pregnant so can't really blame DP. I prefer "I'm ill and pregnant" line rather than "I'm not ill I'm pregnant" one :)

aufaniae · 17/11/2012 08:34

Ooh, exciting! Keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

Pondlily · 17/11/2012 08:34

He's having an apple now

pond shall I send my dp round. Both times it was him who told me I was pregnant and poas confirmed it! He has an in-built pregnancy radar Wink

cat · 17/11/2012 08:48

Don't buy the digital ones - lots of people on here don't think they're that accurate. Get the cheaper First Response ones.........

cat · 17/11/2012 08:49

I want to POAS now and there's no chance whatsoever I might be pregnant (or want to be!)

Grin

I actually have one in my cupboard OP. Do you live near me? Look out of the window - I'll stand in the road and wave. I've got a red dressing gown on.

Pondlily · 17/11/2012 08:51

He's finished his breakfast, have a pic of the first response box ready to show him..............

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 17/11/2012 08:52

I've got 12 out of date in my cupboard. Shall we all join in, in support?!

Pondlily · 17/11/2012 08:53

blowing his nose, singing to the dog..............

emeraldgirl1 · 17/11/2012 08:53

Oh yes definitely second the First Response idea. Digital ones expensive and I don't know if they are as reliable

ScrambledSmegs · 17/11/2012 08:56

Is he deliberately try to wind MN you up?

Good luck!

cbeebiesatemybrain · 17/11/2012 08:56

Good luck! Don't waste money on expensive tests, own brand are just as good and iirc clearblue digital are not very sensitive so more likely to give you a false negative.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 17/11/2012 08:57

Oooh exciting Yes I got my BFP on a First response and I always pee'd into a jar because it deceased the risk of spoiling the test by peeing in the wrong place (wasted a clear blue doing that!). I hope it's positive! :)

PeachTown · 17/11/2012 08:58

Cheap supermarket ones are very sensitive and give a good clear line IME. Tell him to get a box of each. What a great thread to wake up to. Good luck OP!

iloveholidays · 17/11/2012 08:58

Awww Pond, you are being very patient although I do think DH is probably being so chilled for your benefit even though its just more stressful for you IYKWIM.

QuickQuickSloe · 17/11/2012 08:58

Has he left the house yet?

yellowsubmarine53 · 17/11/2012 08:58

For why can you not go to the shops yourself, OP?

The nation demands it, surely?

Pondlily · 17/11/2012 08:58

ScrambledSmegs

He's a joker, I'm used to it we've been together 18 years, this relationship requires oooooooodles of patience :)
