2 day over now and irregular period cramps and back ache are leading to NOWT!

And if one more persons tries to give me some 'helpful' advice I shall tell them
"Yes, I have been having sex whilst eating curried pineapple"
Fuck off!!!!

I'm still here! Had twinges on and off. Today's feel more like he is squashing my bladder rather than productive contractions.
I have tried everything!

Doodlekitty · 04/11/2012 12:00

At least I'm not alone! I'm not even getting twinges any more, just movement. Surely it has to happen soon

seabuckthorn · 04/11/2012 12:27

It does have to happen soon! It must! But wow I'm bored now! I keep getting backache...and getting excited but I think it might be the mattress?
Toying with getting a mattress topper thing but get let's face it probably not going to be sleeping much in the next few months!

How you feeling? I'm so tired just doing small things exhausts me. I'm freaking out somewhat that I'll never go into labour with my 2 pre schoolers at home Sad
Sorry for the rant, please rant back!

Doodlekitty · 04/11/2012 13:24

Rant away! This is the most frustrating thing ever. I'm trying to keep going but everything hurts. Today it is mainly my legs and left hip, feel like I've run a marathon. I was blaming my bed for bad back last week.

Induction on wed, was hoping it would happen naturally before then but I'm really starting to doubt it and feel quite negative.

seabuckthorn · 04/11/2012 18:33

It really is insanely frustrating!
I'm seeing midwife on Tues to discuss my induction date.
I really hope it kicks off for us soon. If I have another clary sage bath I will sob!
I know what you mean about feeling negative Sad I have spd which is pretty bad now, I can barely do anything and I feel a terrible mummy to my dc. My brain is up for doing everything but then I'm exhausted after just showering & getting ready...whilst glugging gaviscon!

Fingers crossed for you, it all kicks off soon. Wednesday is a few sleeps away. I'm off to bounce on that f*cking birth ball again! Round and round I go!

I am still here too (sobs in frustration).

Going for another sweep attempt tomorrow, induction booked for Thursday if I can't manage to produce this little one before then.

I'm so fed up of sign spotting, DH is probably being driven mad by me, DD is being so good but really wants to be carried about and cuddled despite my massive belly.

Doodlekitty · 05/11/2012 08:19

Still holding on without a dicky bird of a sign. How ya doing girlies?

seabuckthorn · 05/11/2012 10:45

I'm still here! I'm now a woman on a mission! I'm sitting pretty much all day on the gym ball and tonight I'm having a gin and tonic! I'm not sure either will work but I'm sure the G&T will make me feel better!
I'm also having one last clary sage bath and walk this afternoon perhaps.
There is nothing stopping this baby coming now I've done everything! I was cleaning the bathroom at 9am this morning.
Waiting to give birth is as frustrating as wondering if you are pregnant I think.
DP has man flu and currently of no use to me the selfish man Grin

How is everyone else doing?

seabuckthorn · 05/11/2012 10:46

I'm squatting as well but this is only recommended if baby is in the right position.

RunningKatie · 05/11/2012 11:25

Today I saw the seventh different midwife I have seen in this pregnancy. She barely spoke to me, she left the room at random points with no explanation, she actually spat into a bin. I wanted a home birth but if she was the community midwife on call I'd drive myself to the hospital even if I was in labour.

She attempted to do a sweep on me, but hurt me so much, and essentially told me that my cervix was central but unfavourable. I'm in bits now, I really hoped it was all coming together and I'd avoid the induction on Thursday.

After DD has her lunchtime sleep we're off to M&S to buy all the curries we can lay our hands on. I've not attempted a clary sage bath but I'm willing to try anything now.

seabuckthorn · 05/11/2012 14:27

Sad katie that's truly terrible! I thought my sweep with my first didn't work but it did! Fingers crossed for you!
I wrote a long old message and its disappeared!
Hope the curry mission works for you.
I've hoovered, cleaned and bounced...nothing yet!
DP really wants the baby to come this week, no pressure or anything!
Hope you are ok katie

seabuckthorn · 06/11/2012 16:45

How we doing ladies?
Well I get a sweep next week if I'm favourable.
I'm 2/5th engaged. I feel really crap this afternoon, barely been able to move from the sofa. My poor youngest DS, he's been entertaining himself. I think it's just tiredness, spending all day on the ball yesterday must have been too much along with the cleaning!

RunningKatie · 06/11/2012 20:30

Good luck for the Wednesday Doodlekitty - unless you managed to pop beforehand?!

I'm still here too Seabuck. We've had curry tonight and we're just about to start on the sticky toffee pudding as it's our wedding anniversary.

Poor DD is facing the brunt of my frustrations, I was sleepless last night with anger at yesterdays midwife and tonight I've packed my hospital bags so I'm ready for Thursday. I don't think anything's going to happen naturally now but I can hope. Tomorrow we're off to softplay, I'm hoping she won't go disappearing off into the big kid things as I can't get in there without getting wedged in and she's too little to get herself down those slides!

Purplecatti · 07/11/2012 03:37

Well I popped my baby out on Friday. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Doodlekitty · 07/11/2012 06:19

Just woke up in hospital ready for today's induction. Managed to get some sleep but not much. Baby was not cooperating last night so monitoring took an age. Trying to force down some breakfast now ready for fun examinations around 8.30. Congrats to those who have their babies in their arms. Hope to join you today

seabuckthorn · 07/11/2012 07:47

Good luck doodle hope it all goes well for you. Not long until baby cuddles.
Congratulations purple hope it all went for you and you are enjoying a snuggly newborn!
Hang in there katie I hate soft play too! Fingers crossed it starts for you today or tonight.
I'm still here, nothing to report. Feel quite odd yesterday afternoon but I think it was tiredness. Wow I'm bored!
I'm off to do the breakfast shift with my 2, with morning sickness oh joy!

Doodlekitty · 07/11/2012 11:32

On third pessary. Body not responding. Caesarians being discussed.

seabuckthorn · 07/11/2012 14:43

Oh doodle hope you and baby are ok

JLBrett · 07/11/2012 17:14

Im new on hear :/ HI Blush Im 4 days over due and NOTHING.
Very fed up off waiting.
Not even a twinge and ive tried everything bouncing on birthing ball, currys, sex , hot baths , long walks , speed bumps :(
Xx

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 07/11/2012 17:23

Congratulations purple!

Doodle I really hope you and baby are ok. Fingers crossed you don't need a CS.

RunningKatie · 07/11/2012 19:26

Oh doodle, you poor thing, hope it has started for you now.

I thought things were kicking off today, cramps, backache etc. Then DD woke up from her nap and screamed for 30mins at me. And everything stopped! Clearly baby decided not to take the exit route as it was chaos here. DD has done some stinky nappies so we think she probably had an upset tummy poor love.

We have to ring tomorrow to check that there's a bed at 10am then go in for 11am. I guess the induction itself will start after lunch maybe?

Congrats purple
Welcome to the mad house JL - anger management is optional round here!

Doodlekitty · 07/11/2012 21:00

Hey guys. Still nothing happening here. Having contractions but they are just not doing anything. If nothing happens overnight my options are very limited. I feel like shit, never dreamt this would happen. But we shall see tomorrow.

Good luck everyone else

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 07/11/2012 21:08

:( I hope things kick off for you overnight. If you need a CS though it isn't the end if the world and if it makes you feel better a week after my 'normal' birth I still:

  • can't go out for long as I have no control over when I wee Blush
  • can't sit without wincing
  • have to double over while I cough (and see first point)
  • have a very wobbly tum

:/

TwistedFireStarter · 08/11/2012 06:30

Oh Doodlekitty Sad. Finger crossed that things work out in a way you're happy with.

How is everyone? We should form a little post-natal group!
