so pleased for you mamandmb xxx

MeAndMyBoys · 22/10/2006 22:37

Ahh thank you everyone.

Gory details....
Felt my hind waters go in the bath friday night, went to bed and then woke up about 2.30am to realise I was getting occasional contractions, slept on the sofa for the rest of the night. Warned DH when he and DS came down yesterday. Went into town with DS for lunch and then contractions had pretty much stopped. Got home and contractions kicked in again so txt DH to come home from the training course he was on. By the time he got home at 5 contractions were about 3 or 4 mins apart.

We got his mum over very fast, drove to the hospital which is only 5 mins away and by the time we got there I could barely stagger. Poor lady on reception thought I was going to deliver on the spot she got very panicked lol. From the time we got into the delivery room to holding DS2 in my arms was 50 minutes . Didn't have time for pain relief and oh boy did it hurt. But felt fantastic afterwards - avoided pph and blood transfusion again this time, only a tiny tear with 3 stitches and managed to walk from delivery to the postnatal ward afterwards.

Fingers crossed DS2 is as chilled as he was last night - slept from 4.30am til 9 this morning

MeAndMyBoys · 22/10/2006 22:40

Yep you're up next hun lol. we're routing for you and bibby in the myboys household.

CadAVREmum · 23/10/2006 04:56

What an amazing story M&MBoyS!!! I am so pleased that everything went so smoothly. Well done on the no pain relief and walking to the post-natal ward. Just remember that you still need lots of rest. Especially with two little ones.

Bella, Thanks again for the update. What would we do without mothers?

Quick hello to everyone else. I am off to the shower before another hectic day. Half term starts on Wednesday so we only have another three days to finish off the house.

Frizombie · 23/10/2006 07:12

Caddy is your mum over for the whole of half term?? are you one hour on there? or two at the mo?
Meandmyboys, what a fab second birth story
So girls powercut here at 4.44am lasted until 6am, my tip of the day (already posted) is take a torch to bed with you in case of this, for those midnight nappy changes......etc etc, as all the house alarms here woke both dd's up....also scared of dark etc....argh!!

CastsSpellsWitchySpells · 23/10/2006 08:22

Wow M&MB! Congratulations. Sounds very calm and lovely, though I expect it didn't feel it at the time! Welcome Sam George .

Bella23 · 23/10/2006 08:39

meandmyboys - wow congrats, how quick !!!
Sounds like a dream!!

So happy for you xx

jakesbadmummy · 23/10/2006 10:28

M&MBs, what great news. Congratulations to you.
And there was you thinking you had another 2 weeks!
Hope Sam George is a good little boy for you.

Good to hear from you Bella, sounds like a good plan booking in for a facial. I really must get round to doing that one day! Have you got used to Tabitha ruling the house yet? Amazing how one so small can command so much.

Jakey is nearly on the move too. He is doing lots of wiggly, rolly moves so surely it can't be long before he works out that his legs will really help him. Stair-gate number one going up today.

oneandbump · 23/10/2006 15:18

M&MB- congratulations!!!!!!!!! very proud of you! take it easy now.!

Friz yes last day today

Bella23 · 01/11/2006 11:59

Debbsy - any chance the baby is facing the wrong way and pressing on your back?
Phone the midwife and get them round to check is my advice.
All getting exciting now - not long to go

oneandbump · 01/11/2006 14:26

how many weeks r u debs? my friend had those symptoms and was told she was in slow labour.... and no to alarm you or anything .... byt when they say slow they mean it! she had those pains for a weeks before she went into active labour!

see the mw debs.....

Cadmum · 02/11/2006 06:11

Debs. I agree that you should have a word with the midwife. Let us know how you get on. Thank goodness you are finished at work! Now you can take care of yourself and baby!

Bella: Good to see you around. Hope all is well.

Goodmorning everyone else.

DH is here and actually has the next 2 days off so that should help...

DDs and DS2 have horrible colds and DH was up through the night with a very sore throat. ARGH! Lovely way to spend 1/2 term.

I hope that DS1 manages to stay well as he cannot afford to miss any school because he is barely managing the work load as it is. More reason for me to lose sleep... Thankfully, I have been forcing myself to stay in bed when the anxiety hits at 5 am and it seems to be working for now. I was not out of bed until 7:50 yesterday. Today saw an earlier start but only because DD2 needed more calpol.

Hope you are all well. Sorry for the novel.

Cadmum · 02/11/2006 06:13

munz and nemo: Are you OK? You have been AWOL for nearly 10 days? Do I need to do a search and drag you back here?
