Hope nobody minds me starting a new thread but I only get 5 mins at a time to read and post and the thread is taking me that long to read and then when I click add message it takes forever.

Hi Nemo, I'm still here!!! Glad your doing ok and 17 weeks where does the time go!

Bella23 · 10/08/2006 13:18

Hello ladies

Time for an update

Well last scan showed that the placenta has moved up so have the all clear for a natural birth - hoorah!
I am 35 weeks tomorrow and its my last working day so feeling all very real - YIKES!!
Starting to feel massive and sleeping seems to be a distane memory due to several trips to the loo in the night and not being able to get comfy. Honestly how much can one person wee??!!

How is everyone else?
Caddy - not heard from you for a while? You must be settled by now, let us know how you getting on.

Well lots of love to the rest of you ladies, hope that little ones and bumps are doing really well xx

Frizbe · 10/08/2006 16:11

Hi Bella so glad your placenta has shifted, onwards towards that natural birth, fingers x'd all goes quickly and easily for you, don't forget to do the olive oil/almond oil thing, I swear it stopped me and several people I know tearing Are you feeling excited yet, or just scared?

Bella23 · 11/08/2006 08:18

Hiya Frizbe - yes getting a bit scared about the impending birth. I keep having to be in denial otherwise I think I would panic!!

How are things with you?

Frizbe · 11/08/2006 08:40

Hi Bella I'm very excited for you! try not to get too worried, its not that bad, have you got a birthing ball to get baby into position? great for watching TV/doing mumsnet on during the last few weeks!

We good here thanks, although dd2 has taken to waking at 5.30 instead of 6-6.30, which is causing me to be very tired, as when she gets up, the rest of the house seem to get up in succession! ho hum....

DebbsyandBibby · 11/08/2006 10:08

Bella so glad your placenta has moved im getting very excited for you now and predict your having a girl 6lbs 6 ozs good luck hun xx

im doing really well thanks frizbe cant believe im 25 weeks already its flying by how are you?

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/08/2006 20:46

Great news about the placenta Bella. Try not to worry about the birth - I really believe that a positive mental attitude goes a long way towards making it a better experience.

Oh, and get used to the lack of sleep!

DebbsyandBibby · 13/08/2006 13:04

well had the fright of my life last nite thought i was going into labour, the left side of my tummy went rigid and i had a pain for about an hour like you wouldnt believe couldnt stand up sit down or do anything agonising,so i was panicking and crying thinking bibby was coming early went to bed lay on my side then it seemed to subside thankfully feel a little bit sore today in that area but the tightness has gone was this baxton hicks?? also had a couple of dizzy spells yesterday, bibby still moving round though he seems ok.Im ok arent I?

Frizbe · 13/08/2006 18:53

Hi Debsey, sorry to hear you had an odd pain last night, you do get them during pregnancy, but as you both appear to be ok at the mo I wouldn't worry too much, just mention it to your MW next time you see her, or if you get it again, give MW a ring to be sure its nothing odd going on, always better to be safe
We're all fine here thanks, I've even managed to sneak a lovely relaxing bath in this afternoon, as dh is home for once on a weekend!!

Bella23 · 13/08/2006 18:57

Debbsy - sounds like a real scare, are you feeling ok now? Maybe a sign to really take it easy and slow down.

OOh excited to hear that you have a theory on what I am having .........tick tock, tick tock......then we shall all know!!

Frzbe - yes am going to get one of those balls tomorrow.

Well now on maternity leave .........so lovely to not have to think about work on a Sunday night - ye ha !! Am really going to make the most of my time off before little one arrives.

Hope everyone is well......xxxx

Frizbe · 13/08/2006 20:41

Hurrah for you Bella, time to spend the next 4-5 weeks on here!!

Debsey, you take it easy with your low BP, don't want you fainting and hurting yourself or bump now!

Not much going on here, dd2 is well on the move now, rolling everywhere and she's just about mastered sitting up she's soooo inquisitive tho, you can see her drinking in everthing anyone says or does
