DebbsyandBibby · 18/06/2006 10:58

nemo the very best of luck for tomorrow.xxx

Munz · 18/06/2006 16:50

good luck tomorrow nemo - sure will all go fine.

debs/bella Envy of u gals buying everyhitng again! - how I wish I could do thhat bit again! lol.

with regards to the sleeping thingy, Joey's 16 weeks and has been in his own room/bed for the last 3 nights - pluses and neg on both sides i'm finding - neg's I have to trapes along the coridore to put his dummy back in when he spit''s it out/screams for feeding, but plus, I don't wake up every time he turns over/whipers during his sleep. besides the cradle's getting a bit small now, and as we'll be moving in (hopefully) 10 weeks or so we wanted him in his own bed settled b4 hand.

finding out eh sex - glad we did, I wanted a boy first - and thought it was until 9 weeks then a female friend/greatnan died so I thought balance of things it would be a girl and we planned for a girl - DH was happy as that's all he ever wanted a little daddy's girl! lol. when we had the scan thou I was estaitc DH was pleased but not as pleased iycwim, it wa good he had time to get used to teh idea - now thou it's mini me! lol. not sure we'll find out next time - prob will as i'm impatient! lol.

romilly · 18/06/2006 19:11

nemo - hope the scan goes well and your fears are misplaced

bella - i still have romi sleeping in her cot next to me (she grew out of the moses basket weeks ago). i am planning to keep her within arms reach til the recommended 6 month mark, mainly because it is so much easier with night feeds when you are b/feeding as opposed to me having to get out of bed, lol.... you will pretty quickly make your own mind up once you have done a few night shifts anyway Wink

i am not sure about this teething thing, cant decide if she is just enjoying chewing her fist a lot (and drooling) - or if it is early signs of a tooth coming thru. i suspect the latter. i know they can have symptoms a few months before the actual tooth appears.

Munz · 18/06/2006 21:19

rom justy read about the naps thing on the march thread, Joey typically will nap for an hour one hour after getting up, a long nap around 11 ish for 2 hours ish then 45 - hour in the afternoon now, then he's awake form about 4-6 ish he'll nap around 6.30ish for half hour or so, bath by 7.30 out for 8 dressed and ready for feeding after half hour with daddy, fed and quite cuddles int eh chair with mummy with bed for 8.30 - so far it's working well he's not getting exhausted by bed time, althou some days it goes to pot and i'm lucky to get 2/3 45 min naps, my nan recons my aunty did 3 * 10 mins naps per day no more no less and she's fine! lol (as nan's tell u they are!)

one thing i've found with Joey is if i'm sat down watching him around 45 mins into the nap he'll come round then drop opff agian for another 45 mins or so, might help with romi.

Nemo1977 · 19/06/2006 18:55

so glad everything went well nemo.xx
Did you get a good picture?

romilly · 19/06/2006 19:52

fab news nemo!

munz - thank you for nap info. joey sounds like he is in a good routine. did manage to get romi asleep 3 times today (yayyyyy!) but only about 30 mins each Sad had to go pram walking for two of the naps as well. on the plus side she was asleep by 6.30 pm after her bath! obviously she is getting overtired tho, i wish i could get her to sleep more in the day.

Frizbe · 19/06/2006 21:40

With you there Rom, dd2 has slept a total of half hour this am after morning feed and then about 45mins pm after lunchtime feed......mind you can't complain as she had bedtime boob at 7 and went to sleep about 7.45, and is just about going thru till 4.30-5am at the mo with a dream feed......

Nemo, congrats on the scan Grin

Munz, its Merthyr Maw, sorry to hear your sleeps not too good with Joey having moved, hazards of dummies when they loose them at night....

Bella, one of the theories they say to keep them in with you is that hearing their parents breathe, reminds them to do it too Shock although I find that a little strange, but I can say it's sure easier if your BF to have them in with you, as sitting in their room and dropping off in the middle of the night can lead to bouncing babies!

Caddy, argh! Angry for you, as if you've not had enough hassles....can you move without your stuff, leaving them to store it/send it on??

Debsey, its a girl Grin

Hi to everyone else, hope your all doing ok.

We had a nice weekend camping, even made it to porth cawl (sp) on saturday, dd1 went paddling with me, whilst dd2 sat in her buggy at the waters edge, was a slight technical hitch later on, when I was sat feeding dd2, and dd1 decided to leg it into the sea.....had to enlist other parents nearby to help get her back.....luckily most had more than one kid with them and we're sympathetic, similarly the nice lady on the park who helped me get dd1 off the swing later on, when I'd just picked dd2 up as she was yelling/hot etc.....(all this time dh was working you see and ss had decided to stay with his dad...)
Got dd2 weighed today 12oz 13lbs! just under the 50th still Smile

MeAndMyBoy · 19/06/2006 22:38

Ah fab news nemo, so pleased for you :)
sorry ladies i will catch up tomorrow I haven't managed to get off the PC yet this evening and think I need to go and pay DH a bit of attention. lol

Have a good evening all. Caddy hope you are ok, you are in my thoughts lots.

H x

Cadmum · 20/06/2006 01:16

I am really sorry for the lack of posts... I am up to my eyeballs in alligators so to speak.

Nemo: I am SO pleased for you!!! WooHoo!

Munz · 20/06/2006 08:53

rom - what's her night time sleeping like? perhaps she doesn't need as much by day if she's sleeping v well by night? we had to build Joey's naps up really when they're 45 mins then the next day they'll be an hour and so on. iycwim.

just quick need to get to tescos and he's screaming he's tired! nuvver screaming alarm clock at 6am and dh Angry still used calpol today - not happy bout it but least it took the edge off his teething pain which is the main thing.

romilly · 20/06/2006 09:30

friz - am SO impressed you go camping with the little ones on your own Shock - very intrepid! i would be hopeless camping - but camping AND looking after kids....wow!

munz - she sleeps very well at night, apart from the waking up twice for feeds (2ish and 5.45/6ish). but she feeds practically asleep and goes straight back to sleep after. she is kipping still now after another 8am nip on the boob. i didnt go to sleep til about midnight and got up after the 8am feed so am knackered! i am stupid i should go to bed earlier but never manage it somehow. you do need those few hours for yourself and a bit of d/h attention (although unfortunately all too easy to end up bickering when i am this tired).

d/h is off on a social again this weekend - all weekend. i refused to go cause it meant two 4 hour car journeys (sat and sun) in probably high temps, right after romi's 2nd set of jabs. no fun for her at all. d/h is a bit wiggy with me for not going. humph!

Bella23 · 20/06/2006 10:00

Nemo - fab news!! Grin WOW a full tribe you will have!!

Caddy - hope all is going well, sounds hectic.

Well not a lot else to report, just wanted to say hello to you lovely ladies..........best crack on with some work.
I am off next week on annual leave and then I have only 6 weeks left until maternity leave - HOORAH!! Can't wait!

romilly · 20/06/2006 12:36

wayhay bella!!!!

munz and friz: romi is in her COT and ASLEEP! for the lunchtime nap!!!!! Smile

perseverance pays off! never quit, never quit, never quit as bill clinton famously said...

Frizbe · 20/06/2006 22:40

Yeah! well done Rom! and I need to set the record straight there, dh was actually camping too, also ss, but they were doing his work on the sat whilst we went to the beach, he runs 'themed events' which I won't even attempt to explain Grin

Cadmum · 21/06/2006 09:35

Just a quick Hello (at 4:25 am my time). We still don't have move dates but we do have airline tickets booked for our flights to Canada on June24 and to Austria on July 1. Needless to say this is causing some sleepless nights. It is all rather frustrating.

We did find out that we are all in business class for the long haul flight. Even the baby has her own seat! DH can't wait to see the looks on people's faces when we board with 3 children and a screaming baby. (He has a sick sense of humour obviously.)

Charlie had a horrible day yesterday. Screaming and crying even when I was holding her. I resorted to Calpol and felt horrible when 20 minutes later she was all smiles. I wish I had given it to her after the first few moments of misery instead of waiting. On Monday the little monkey weighed in at 13 lbs 14 oz meaning that she has nearly doubled her birth weight already. I should have known from the size of her thighs.

Forgive me for the lack of personal messages but I didn't want to sign off without saying congrats to Nemo; keep your chin up to M&MB and thinking of you Wendy.

Cadmum · 21/06/2006 09:37

Friz: We also love camping and are planning to camp in Vienna for 2 weeks in July once we have recovered from jet-lag!

MeAndMyBoy · 21/06/2006 10:46

Cadmum - Good luck with everything over the next few weeks I will be thinking about you loads . Enjoy business class - hopefully it will make the flight easier for you all - lol at Charlie having her own seat. They will just have to put you up in a lovely hotel until they get a house and your furniture sorted out for you.

Take care of yourself as well.

{{hugs}}
