Its agony. Every ten to fifteen minutes my lower abdomen and back become so severely painful it makes me loose my breath and want to cry.
I don't know if it's real. I'd had a tough time of it today (another thread) and have been bouncing on my ball, but now I'm really hurting and I don't know if this is it?
I just want to sleep but just as I get settled ur starts again.

How far on in pregnancy are you pickles?

scentednappyhag · 12/09/2012 08:04

Where can you order a curry from at 8am? Wink

booksandchoc · 12/09/2012 08:04

It could have just been a practise run. My SIL had a whole night of contractions 2 weeks before my niece was born.

LST · 12/09/2012 08:06

How far gone are you op? It might start picking up again soon.

NineCrimes · 12/09/2012 08:09

Sounds like things will get moving, probably tonight when it starts getting dark! Try and eat and rest where you can, keep your energy! Very best of luck, I followed your threads since you split with ex and you deserve happiness which you will be getting very very soon when baby is in your arms! Smile

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 08:11

Im 37+5, really want to get on now

Mine never got any closer than 6m apart until the very end. They were 3-4m long though Shock The MWs didn't believe me when they arrived...and then they saw me having one!

Your body is probably having a break after a restless night, just rest as much as you can and it should get going again soon enough Smile

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 09:13

Thinking of going for a walk...pooch doesn't look as enthusiastic.
If I eat will it make me feel poorly?

fuckbadger · 12/09/2012 09:23

Good luck pickles! It sounds like your body is just giving you a break before it all starts again. Eat something light and have a rest, I have a feeling you will be meeting your daughter tonight Grin

EdMcDunnough · 12/09/2012 09:26

I think baths generally slow things down.

If you have had a show then I'm not sure you should be having baths now - can you ring them up, they will want to get you in within 24 hours of losing it I think.

(small risk of infection iyswim)

Flisspaps · 12/09/2012 09:27

It's fine to bathe once you've had a show, there's no infection risk. You can have show weeks before labour!

You're getting confused with the waters breaking!

Flisspaps · 12/09/2012 09:28

Eat if you can, you'll need your energy!

peanutMD · 12/09/2012 09:32

Aww Pickles its frustrating when things stop but like others say your body may just be having a rest before your DD makes her entrance :o

Food shouldn't make you poorly if anything you may feel better and it'll give you much needed energy, also try and get some sleep/rest if you can, take advantage whilst you can :)

Good luck!

Moominsummermadness · 12/09/2012 09:32

Hope it all starts up again for you pickles. Do keep as active as you can today.

Shellywelly1973 · 12/09/2012 09:33

Morning Pickles,

Bet your tired this morning!
I've been where you are 5 times... IMHO, u need to rest. Sleep, eat&try if possible to relax. You've got alot head of you so the most important thing is to prepare yourself as much as you can.

Just think of your gorgeous little baby, you will be getting to meet her very soon.

Take care of yourself...will be thinking of you!

Oh how frustrating for you. Thought we might wake up to a baby pickle this morning. I'm sure it wont be long now. Definately eat something and rest :)

Katienana · 12/09/2012 10:36

I had contractions on sunday night and last night that got up to 5 mins apart but tailed off when I went to bed. I think it's the start of things but that it could take a while! I phoned the unit on sunday night and they said to ring back if I get to 3 mins or waters break and to get some rest. Try and get some sleep and conserve your energy op you never know when you might need it! Good luck.
