Its agony. Every ten to fifteen minutes my lower abdomen and back become so severely painful it makes me loose my breath and want to cry.
I don't know if it's real. I'd had a tough time of it today (another thread) and have been bouncing on my ball, but now I'm really hurting and I don't know if this is it?
I just want to sleep but just as I get settled ur starts again.

Maybe it's the awesome power of baths helping out. Sending you a (virtual) slice of the chocolate cake I just made. Brew

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 01:36

People do this more than once? They're fucking mad!

pinpan · 12/09/2012 01:45

Apparently it'll all be worth it! Smile (I wouldn't know - I'm 38+4 and getting a bit scared of what I'm in for...Hmm)

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 01:49

The prize better be bloody good, I am never ever letting a man near my fanjo ever again

Hey! How're you doing? I had my first baby in the early hours of Monday morning. Like you, I'd been having contractions every 10 mins or so, but the hospital wouldn't take me until they were coming every 3-4 mins and lasting for a minute and a half! Try walking up stairs, that really helped me. It opens things right up. Good luck!

pinpan · 12/09/2012 01:54

Hold that thought. Grin I'm sure you're going to have an awesome baby!

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 01:56

Congratulations on your dc x

Yup,I've done it once & planning to do it again sometime next year with any luck.

If things are still nice & calm,do try & have a rest. If this is the real deal, you'll have a busy time in the next few months days Smile

ThingsThatMakeYouGoHmmm · 12/09/2012 01:59

Most likely as they like to arrive at daft hours of the morning lol

Good Luck ! :)

ChocolateIsAFoodGroup · 12/09/2012 04:09

How are you doing, Pickles? Update us when you can! 38 plus 3 over here and thinking of all soon-to-be-mums (and this is my third DC - yes, you forget and do it again!)

LST · 12/09/2012 04:28

Hows everything going pickles? Smile

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 05:15

Been trying to sleep on and off. They won't get any closer at all...

BellaOfTheBalls · 12/09/2012 05:22

They will probably slow down while you're resting. Keeping moville helps!

Keep going, you're going to meet your baby today!

BellaOfTheBalls · 12/09/2012 05:23

Mobile even. No idea what moville is....

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 05:23

They seem to be getting further apart more than closer.
My plug has gone now, and I'm in yet another bath

Love Cerys too! My contractions stopped for an hour after a bath then started again for a lovely 20 min labour!

BellaOfTheBalls · 12/09/2012 05:48

Go for a walk once the sun has come up see if you can kick things off again then ring the hospital. If your plug has gone they might want to see you after all!

cupcake78 · 12/09/2012 05:54

Congratulations! Your doing great. It can be slow to start and the stopping and starting is such a pain (no pun intended). I also lived in the bath till I went into hospital on day 4 and demanded to be checked. I was 4cm Grin.

Pickles77 · 12/09/2012 06:09

Day four?! Confused

PeahenTailFeathers · 12/09/2012 06:21

Oh, good luck! Wishing you a sneeze birth, but don't be afraid of the pain - you'll forget about it when you're holding your beautiful baby.

celebmum · 12/09/2012 06:51

Ooh good luck pickles! Hope you're progressing nicely SmileSmileSmile

Leftwingharpie · 12/09/2012 07:06
