Apart from the obvious of having a cuddly newborn what are you really looking forward to?

I am looking forward to being able to walk without pain, get comfy in bed, play with the boys and having a small drink of cider as I have been craving it all the way through pregnancy.

Oh and being able to shave my legs without having to resort to strange positions!!

Sleeping on my stomach. Wearing jeans I don't have to hoick up every 5 seconds.

Cheekychops84 · 08/06/2012 13:37

Not being in constant fear of labour anymore! Oh yes and being able to sleep on my front!

readyforno2 · 08/06/2012 13:38

Gin

SwissArmyWife · 08/06/2012 13:39

Sleeping on my back! Not that i'll be getting much sleep, but it's nice to have the option Wink
And going back on a diet...

emblosion · 08/06/2012 13:45

Not having feet in my ribs!

McKayz · 08/06/2012 13:46

Getting up off of a chair/sofa/bed without either a) psyching myself up first or b) having to grunt whilst doing

Being able to whizz down to the shops on my lunchbreak rather than walking slowly, carefully and somewhat grumpily!

Am only 23 weeks too........

Oh and a glass bucket of chilled, crisp, white wine with a wheel slice of Brie :)

PickleSarnie · 08/06/2012 14:06

Oooooh, gin. Forgot about that ready. I occasionally sniff the slightly dusty bottle of tanqueray in the cupboard but it just makes the longings worse. Sigh.

McKayz · 08/06/2012 14:11

I keep looking at DHs beer. I hate beer but it still tempts me occasionally.

Wearing shoes instead of flip flops! And having a raincoat I can get on. Both fairly necessary in a British summer!

And definitely lying on my front. Can not wait to flop on the bed face down Smile

weaselinthenight · 08/06/2012 14:14

A glass of chilled wine... blue cheese... completely caution-free eating... being able to bend down and get back up again...

shouldIbecrossaboutthis · 08/06/2012 14:21

Not throwing up!

EmilyD2012 · 08/06/2012 14:42

An end to the heartburn

Eating brie

A glass of wine

Sleeping on my back

Hpbp · 08/06/2012 15:02

Foie gras, rare rib eye, seafood, oysters, camembert... Can you tell I am French ? :)

Purplecatti · 08/06/2012 17:40

GIN AND TONIC AND A FAG

freelancegirl · 08/06/2012 17:50

Oh what a lovely thread - it's great to look forward to these things. 33 weeks and counting. I think I have been pregnant forever.

Am looking forward to breathing properly again. Wine, gin and tonic, sparkly stuff (cava, Prosecco, champagne if I can...), sushi, more wine, exercise oh and definitely not having to lie on my side in bed and heave myself over when I need to change sides. And, when I can, a good night out!

I hear rumours (no doubt found-less of course) there might be some other things to do - like breastfeed, wake up throughout the night, change a few nappies...but I am sure that generally we will just be able to resume our normal lives with the addition of a cute baby on hand :)

Susieloo · 08/06/2012 17:52

Massive glass of white wine and a fag, not needing to go for a wee every forty five minutes especially during the night, sleeping on my back, being able to get comfy on the sofa without stressing about how I'm going to get up again, pâté and Gorgonzola on crackers, could go on and on... 34+4 today and can't see how this baby can possibly get any bigger or last another five odd weeksSmile

MangoHedgehog · 08/06/2012 17:58

a nice cold pint

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 08/06/2012 18:12

Getting comfy in bed and on sofa, and being able to reach the floor (39+5).

Rachog · 08/06/2012 18:17

Losing the heartburn.
Archers and fantasy.
Not needing to wee 8 times a night.
Walking without wincing.

GrandPoohBah · 08/06/2012 18:17

Pâté! Liver! Foie gras!

I'm due just before Christmas. Bollocks to turkey, I'm eating nothing but port and pâté for DAYS.

Rachog · 08/06/2012 18:18

That was supposed to say archers and lemonade, not sure where fantasy came from!

VIX1980 · 08/06/2012 18:24

Thanks for this OP, I thought about starting a thread like this today to cheer myself up a bit, only a week to go and ive had a bottle of grey goose sat in the fridge for 2 weeks now, cannot wait to have a vodka and lemonade, also a decent nights sleep without a million cushions around me.

i also cant wait to go out shopping on my own, walking like i use to and not rying and bawling when i dont fit into anything i like. Smile
