I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

As u say state still really early for good solid movements, I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and hardly feeling anything!

Crazy bday stories! I'd have been a bit miffed secretly!

bonzo77 · 17/07/2012 17:41

Omg. Preg symptoms gone crazy today. Boobs so painful in taking painkillers, all food tasting grim, feeling sick and dizzy, really thirsty. I thought it was meant to get better! I'm nearly 16 weeks FGS!

BangOffTrend · 17/07/2012 17:50

Welcome Inchy, you're nearly through this bit.
Many good stories on here to inspire you.

LauraPalmer · 17/07/2012 19:04

Hi Inch - I'm also 10wks after 2 MCs...stressful days, no? This is a good place to hang out while you're waiting for the dating scan. We've had 2 scans (6 & 9) and on the 10 day count down to the nuchal dating (next Thursday morning). Hope you get your date soon!

LauraPalmer · 17/07/2012 19:06

I would be secretly miffed about the birthdays, too!! Blush

WLmum · 17/07/2012 21:34

Hello inchy. The good news is that it does get easier with every week and milestone but the bad news is that progress us slow and we can always find something to worry about! Sounds like you're on a good track this time though so fingers crossed for you. One day at a time, and a good rant on mn helps lots too. X

WLmum · 17/07/2012 21:38

Ooh cake laura you can come again! Countdown is a good place to be but a bit of a rollercoaster if I remember rightly. look forward to hearing good news from you in 10 days time. X

MrsReiver · 17/07/2012 21:52

Hi Inchy, welcome to the club!

Remember how the sickness eased off at the end of last week? It's back. Worse than it was to start with. Still, I'm finding it strangely reassuring. If I'm still sick, I'm probably still pregnant! My husband drinks flavoured coffees and I'm finding the smells from the mugs absolutely stomach churning. It's horrible - even after he's finished the smell lingers. I can't stomach tea or coffee right now, the only hot drink I can face is proper cocoa with two large teaspoons of sugar. It's my treat before bedtime to stave off the sleepy sickness.

8 weeks tomorrow! How did that happen?

ConfusedMumDotCom · 19/07/2012 14:38

Hello ladies.

I had my reassurance scan at UCH today at 7+2. I'm relieved to say that all is well. I'm measuring 7+1 and the baby has a strong heart beat Grin. I finally allowed myself to calculate my due date : 5 March 2013. Yikes. It's very real now. I may need some hand holding to get past 10 weeks when my mmc was diagnosed. But I was told the risk of mc was now very low, so fingers crossed.

WLmum · 21/07/2012 07:20

Well done confused.
I'm feeling some lovely movements now, and at lady dd1 has gone from being really negative at the baby to really positive. Not sure what brought about the change but am giving the credit to her reception teacher!

MrsReiver · 21/07/2012 21:01

Oh Confused, that's great news, we're due about the same time so we can hold hands together.

WLMum - I can't wait to feel movements, and it's fab that your DD is coming round. Sometimes it just takes someone to say the right thing! Whatever it was, it clearly worked!!

welliesandpyjamas · 22/07/2012 19:15

Hi everyone, nice to see lots of nice news :)

All ok here at 29 weeks. Although I seem to have a little vomiting bug today, yuck! Feel so rotten. But never mind, it means I am off duty and get time to MN!

Iron levels still low so still having funny days as I wait for the tablets to take effect. Apparently it can take several weeks.

Baby girl is nice and wriggly, makes me so happy to feel each and every movement after the worries of the past year :)

Arseface · 22/07/2012 19:49

Please can I come and hold hands? I'm bringing ginger biscuits and mint tea!
Had an mc at 10 wks last Oct and have just found out I'm pregnant - despite having a coil fitted while DH and I worked out what to do.
Have had the 48hrs-apart blood test and will find out when I can have the scan to decide what to do about the coil tomorrow.
DH was furious (we already have 2 DCs and he was reluctant before the mc, which was the final straw for him) but after a few pretty hefty rows, he's come around and is distracting himself by making plans to extend the house!
Am intermittently in pieces at every twinge and pain but can't say much to DH as he's still a pretty freaked out but is making a big effort not to be negative. Have not told anyone in RL yet as we're still reeling ourselves and need to see what's going to happen with the coil.
Would be great to have a space to offload my fears. Haven't read through the whole thread yet as have a houseful of DCs and their friends today but will catch up tonight.
Hope everyone had an uneventful, relaxing day in the sun!

StateofConfusion · 22/07/2012 20:27

WLmum · 22/07/2012 22:15

welcome arse read through the thread if you get a chance, lots to reassure you about us all freaking out about stuff, but if you don't, just know that this the perfect place to offload all those things you're not ready or can't say in rl. X

Arseface · 23/07/2012 14:19

Hi everyone, have read through and feel much better hearing the good news from you all as things progress.
EPU rang to ask me in for a scan tomorrow afternoon. Will hopefully find out how far along things are and where that blimmin coil is.
It's making me very paranoid thinking about it in there with the baby. Can't wait to get the dratted thing out.
Lots of aches pains and cramps but no spotting or bleeding.

Will hopefully have a clearer idea about this pregnancy tomorrow so can let myself get used to the idea (or steel myself for the worst).

Agree with all of you how difficult it is hiding things from the DCs. DS (11) has definitely twigged something is up since the holidays started. DD (2) is being more fretful and clingy than usual and the usually lazy dogs have been following me from room to room when I'm in the house, chewing odd things when I'm at work or out and we've even had the odd protest wee!

Now that DH has stopped being a twat and is nearly back to his usual lovely self (let me lie in over the weekend and took kids out in the afternoon, bringing me random cups of tea etc but still finding it hard to discuss things other than architects, builders and getting a bigger car!) I'm hoping they'll all settle down.
Have a lovely day everyone, will update tomorrow after the scan.

StateofConfusion · 24/07/2012 09:39

Were finally re-connected!

Good luck for today arse we've all been where you are now, I never ever believed I'd get to where I am now --hot bothered and moody as hell-- 18+3 with a very wriggly baby!

OP posts:
bonzo77 · 24/07/2012 18:21

arse hope today went ok with you.

Saw obstetrician today who was lovely, agreed in principle to my plan of a cs if no natural labour or problems in labour, but to hold off till 41 weeks. Also agreed on extra scans to monitor growth and suggested I take baby aspirin as it has been shown to be useful in preventing iugr where clots in the placenta are the cause. Feeling v positive. And heard hb today too, pretty good for 16+3. GrinGrinGrin

StateofConfusion · 24/07/2012 19:53

wonderful news bonzo :)

Well I just had the most terrifying drive home of my life :( decided to spend the day at the seaside, 1hr away. Head back to the car as we fancy finishing the day in southwold. Leave, stop as dd needs a wee and talk for two mins before starting the car and heading off. The passenger side suspension snaps. We have no phones and are in the middle of nowhere. Dp managed to secure things with wire he had in the boot and we inched home at 20mph. We have a mechanic on his way but the first week of the holidays is shaping up to be a shitty one. After dp was attacked by a bailiff yesterday for a fucking parking ticket we forgot about as I lost the baby the day after. Ended up with police all over the house and terrified children.

On a brighter note this baby sure is wriggly :)

Arseface · 25/07/2012 22:31

Sounds like a madly stressful week state. Hope things get a bit calmer and you can enjoy that wriggly baby.
Sorry not to have updated but, well, it's been eventful!

The good news is that the coil was nowhere near the pregnancy so I'm not in as much danger of mc as we thought.

The totally unexpected news is that there are two babies in there!
Yep, having just got DH's head around one more baby I had to break the news that we're expecting twins.
After an initial bout of swearyness he's been great. I think it's all just so bonkers he can't be annoyed any more.
I'm 7 weeks today so still not telling anyone.

We did tell DS though and, having recently had sex ed at school, he gave us both barrels of 11-year-old wisdom.
Will always treasure the look on DH's face as DS tells him he's 'got to be more responsible and ought to think about using protection'.

Arseface · 25/07/2012 22:35

Oh, bonzo, HB is wonderful - the most reassuring sound there is - and your obstetrician seems to be properly on the ball and fully understand your concerns.
Love hearing all the good news from those of you a bit further along.

StateofConfusion · 25/07/2012 22:57

Omg wow arse twins I'm loling at your 11yo though! I thought my 3 and 5yos opinions were interesting enough.

Had another rotten day with just stupid behaviour from the dcs, feeling frazzled tbh. Can't believe in 2wks ill be half way there and might find out if I have a boy or girl in there! Still doesn't seem totally real tbh even when he's wriggling.

OP posts:
welliesandpyjamas · 26/07/2012 15:47

Grin wow!!! Twins!!! Fantastic! Congratulations! :) The thread's first twins :)

Your 11 yr old is hysterical! (Good work on the school's behalf, though Wink)

StateofConfusion · 26/07/2012 17:40

I'm 20 weeks in one week 2 days, how on earth did that happen Shock might actually need to drag my head out of the sand and sort stuff out!

OP posts:
WLmum · 27/07/2012 21:29

arse twins! That's great news, bless your DH! My DH and I were both secretly hoping that we'd have twins, knowing of course that it would kill us but totally magical.

We just got back from a fab weeks camping, dds really enjoyed it which is just as well as that's all we'll be able to afford for some (if nit all!) years to come.

state I can't believe it either. Really need to get my arse in gear and sort out a car we can all fit in! You're so lucky to be feeling so much movement, I still only get little bits.
