I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Thinking of you, mrsreiver. It's the worse fear, isn't it. I had a very heavy bleed at 7 weeks and I just wailed like an animal, thinking it had happened again. Everything was ok though, amazingly, so fingers crossed for you too.

stateof How nice to go baby clothes window shopping! :) Not quite the same but I've just received a car full of girl clothes from my friends Shock my god, it's sooooooo pink!!! Bit of a shock after two boys! I still have some 0-6 months neutral boy clothes left to mix n match with them, thank goodness, I don't think I could cope with going pink all the way!

Hope everyone else is ok.

StateofConfusion · 09/07/2012 15:44

Thinking of you mrs take it easy! I had one bit of spotting and I'm still going ok at 16+2 xx

I agree wellies dd seemed so pink after ds, my favourite outfit of hers though was a beige pinafore dress, cream tights and body and the body had tiny beige and baby pink hearts on, she was about 4mnths and I loved it. I have nothing clothes wise as we hadn't planned to have more after her, she's 4 this year Shock but suprise pregnancy which ended in mmc changed our minds! Things are certainly more expensive than 4/5yrs ago!

My pfb is 5 a week today!!!

Managed to wreck that post Hmm

My sisters only 7 so I get all her old clothes for dd and she grows like a weed whereas dd doesn't and often fits a few sizes at once if that makes sense, I love it, her wardrobe has 30 odd dresses in and I brought 2! Ds the same as he was small and prem my brothers bigger than him so I get all his clothes, its ace!

Sending good thoughts your way, MrsR.

I'm currently in my own little special place of pure panic...the swelling in my boobs has gone down and I'm terrified that we'll find a MMC at the scan tomorrow. I'm not necessarily being rational but I'm really nervous. Especially since the progesterone would have masked a MC if there had been one. My sweet DP is being so patient and lovely and positive but I'm really having a hard time while these hours are counting down to the appointment.

The super irrational part of me thinks I've pressed my luck buying a pair of maternity trousers this week although I had to because nothing else would fit over my progesterone bloat!

StateofConfusion · 09/07/2012 17:52

laura my boobs seemed to go down for a while, actually all symptoms lessened around 9/10wks, then appeared back with a vengance around 12/13wks.

Good luck tomorrow x

Good luck with your scan today laura, I have mine at 1 tomorrow. I'm freaking out a bit but trying to stay positive and getting quite excited. xx

LauraPalmer · 10/07/2012 10:36

Thank you gem - counting down the hours is excruciating, yes? Remind me which scan this is for you?

Trying to stay positive...trying to stay positive...trying to stay positive...trying to stay positive...

DP is currently thinking up some good distractions for me!

LauraPalmer · 10/07/2012 10:38

I just read back up through the thread and see it's your dating scan gem! Lucky you!!

gemdrop84 · 10/07/2012 10:42

Oh yes, I'm the same, counting down the days has been awful, I've been a right moody cow last few days! I go from being really excited to bursting into tears and thinking the worst. I dont feel pregnant, just fat and hormonal! I keep thinking it's all just a big mistake and there will be nothing there. But dp and dd are keeping me right. This will be our first scan, the dating/nuchal scan. I'm 12 wks+2days.

welliesandpyjamas · 10/07/2012 11:28

Good luck today Laura :)

StateofConfusion · 10/07/2012 12:44

Hope gem and laura are ok.

Just had my 16wk check, all bloods etc coming back fine, baby is definatly moving for me to feel Grin scan on august 5th, then midwife october 5th! Feel a bit abandoned tbh.

OP posts:
welliesandpyjamas · 10/07/2012 12:50

Hooray! Big Mexican Wave for stateof and her baby!!

Know what you mean about feeling abandoned. It's a big contrast to having your first, isn't it! When I fainted the other week due to low iron and low blood pressure, I did feel a bit cross that us third timers have to wait for a problem to get bad before it is found and addressed.

Tomorrow is my last Consultant appointment before the CS!! I remember getting the appointment and thinking it was a lifetime away! We're moving at some point over the summer so they are today, hopefully, giving me a letter to pass on to my next midwife and consultant...just wish the house move would conclude successfully so that I can have the rerassurqnce of finding my next doctor's surgery and getting the ball rolling over there. So much to fret worry about!

X

shopgal9 · 10/07/2012 12:55

Hi hun,

I totally understand where you are comming from and are feeling. I had a mmc last september after my first IVF cycle and this year fell pregnant (naturally) Smile with first baby, am 27 weeks now all has gone well. Trust me it will be fine, loads of hugs to you and lil baby, who I am sure is growing happily and hates it when mummy gets worried. I think miracles do happen and yours is going to be fine Grin

ConfusedMumDotCom · 10/07/2012 13:48

Hello. Mind if I join you lovely ladies. I am 6 weeks pg today following a mmc at 10+1 at the end of April.

I've been hanging out in the mosh pit on the conception board, and now feel its real enough to come over here. waves at State.

I'm in 2 minds about taking baby aspirin and would appreciate any advice you ladies may have.

gemdrop84 · 10/07/2012 15:06

that's great stateof, cant wait to feel my little one wriggling around. Im doing ok, calmed down a bit and just keeping myself busy. Hopefully busy enough so I will get some sleep tonight! :)

StateofConfusion · 10/07/2012 15:29

Hope the move goes well wellies we are in a similar situation but in rented and its so stressful at times isn't it? Constantly feel in limbo and my nesting instinct to plan and organise is being squashed as I'm not sure where ill be living so can't work out where I'd leave the pram etc (think I have ishoos lol)

Welcome confused Grin I considered baby asprin for a while but when I finally stopped denying I was pregnant to myself and went to a chemist he asked why and said he really wasn't happy to sell me them and could I wait to see my midwife/consultant. I had a scan first anyway at 10wks and baby was fine so I forgot all about it.

Glad your doing ok gem

Well I just crashed out for 2hrs and I'm really annoyed with myself as now ill struggle to get off to sleep and I'm going on ds's school trip to Bewilderwood tomorrow and the coaches are leaving at 8.20!!! I am rather anxious as I never do anything without dp since ive been pregnant he's been on leave for his knee operations so I've felt safe I'm excited too though as I never get ds all to myself and I'm feeling emotional that my tiny prem baby boy will be 5 on monday.

Hi confused! Welcome to the club.

State - that's fab news from you scan. Really delighted for you. I know what you mean about the abandonment - I rang the day we got our BFP, was told "congratulations, we'll see you at 10 weeks" and I was left hanging... nothing until the end of July, which is fortunately approaching rapidly.

No more bleeding, and no cramps other than the ones I had this morning which were the result of eating a punnet of grapes. Oops!

StateofConfusion · 10/07/2012 15:35

Glad things have settled down mrs I've found I notice the feeling of digestion/wind now when I never had, I think it paranoia about the baby, and being more in tune with our bodies, but every day is a victory!

OP posts:
MrsReiver · 10/07/2012 16:14

Oh yes - every little twinge, every ache is getting analysed, is it wind, muscular, something sinister? When I was expecting DS, I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 15 weeks - what a relaxed pregnancy that was! Ignorance is bliss Grin

StateofConfusion · 10/07/2012 17:06

I found out at 10 had an early scan a few weeks later and was 14wks with ds! I agree nice and relaxing! Also I had my innocence, had no reason to worry. Miscariage changes us.

When this baby first moved I assumed mc feelings, dp told me to calm down and got me a sweet drink then it all clicked Blush

OP posts:
gemdrop84 · 11/07/2012 16:36

Wow-had the best scan ever!! :) the scans were running half an hour late so I was bursting for a wee by the time we got in there. It was amazing. The baby was wriggling away and wouldnt stay still so the sonographer couldnt get any measurements! She tried for about 10mins but then asked me to empty a bit of my bladder and go for a walk.... Dp then sat down so he was eye level with my belly and gave baby a pep talk! it worked, so daddy did good :o Got a really nice pic and everything was fine. DD was so excited to see a photo! Hope you're all doing ok x

MrsReiver · 11/07/2012 17:04

Aww Gem that's fantastic, how old is your DD? Did you just tell her after the scan or did she know before?

Really chuffed your scan went well - and what an obedient baby! Hee hee.

StateofConfusion · 11/07/2012 17:54

Aww that's really lovely gem my first scan was the same, very wriggly baby, so reassuring!

I've just spent the day at bewilderwood with ds and his school I am exhausted.

Welcome shop and confused. . Glad to hear everyone is doing well. gem how was yr scan?

I had my 16 week check (at 17 weeks) today, heard heartbeat which was lovely. Little blighter is still hiding out low behind my pubic bone which is why I'm not feeling much movement yet- to be honest I'd prob be hiding there too as dd2 has v sharp elbows and knees!

WLmum · 11/07/2012 18:10

So glad gem. X
