I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

I'm sure I felt a flutter or 2 at 14 weeks but then really not much til now at 16 weeks when I feel more like pressure movements, but to be honest I'm generally so busy it would be so easy to miss small movements. The first flutter at 14 weeks was when I was sitting quietly at work (rare!). I know state started feeling movements really early. Enjoy it!

welliesandpyjamas · 05/07/2012 22:00

Hi mrsreiver - believe me, we've all been where you are, and in reality we are still there in many ways even though time is helping. Have a look through the thread, there've been a lot of emotional journeys. Fingers crossed for your pregnancy, feel free to hang around here for some hand holding, talk through your dark times and happy times. :)

StateofConfusion · 05/07/2012 22:22

bonzo I felt movements then, then atleast one a day since, swear wriggler rolled over this evening 15+4wks here :) all sorted with the car feeling very excited, ds liked the red, we showed him photos, but said green would be better haha!

Welcome to the party mrs rant rave sob and feel mildly insane here, its all normal Grin congratulations, I waited for my booking in at 10wks, it was scary but worth it as by then I knew we'd get a straight ok/not ok answer iyswim. And as you can see from this thread, many continue in to healthy pregnancys.

I'm the same wl can miss them, and the pressure feelings more than the typical flutters.

Any cravings? I'm mad on peanuts and ice Hmm
Still nauseaus!

welliesandpyjamas · 05/07/2012 22:31

Ah, you've just made me want peanut ice cream...does it even exist?! It should do!

StateofConfusion · 05/07/2012 23:41

wellies if it does ill find it! That sounds amazing!!!

My mum just mentioned peanut mnms on the phone, now I need some. Thank goodness nut guidelines have changed :)

Ok, state, just realised all we need to do is mix crunchy peanut butter with really good vanilla (or chocolate?!) ice cream Shock oh yeah! Grin

LauraPalmer · 06/07/2012 09:05

Hello - may I step inside and hang out here for a while? I'm 8+weeks after a MC in November and one last July. We had an early scan a few weeks ago and saw a lovely heartbeat. Have been on progesterone since Tuesday (to be taken through 12wks) and our 2nd early scan is on Tuesday afternoon. I'm currently in complete panic mode and am so worried that we'll receive sad news at the scan. The fluctuating symptoms are only adding my worry. My poor boobs are being prodded all the time.

The other thing working on my mind is that Tuesday's scan takes place on day 70 (since LMP) and the longest that I've ever managed to stay pregnant is day 71. I think I just need a place to hang out for some handholding.

As far as peanut and ice cravings go, how about crushed up peanut M&M's on vanilla ice cream? Or better yet, chuck that into a blender with some milk and make a chocolate-peanut milkshake!

StateofConfusion · 06/07/2012 09:05

wellies I am loling at the time you realised this, you truly are pregnant Grin I think vanilla, with some caramel sauce in for good measure.

Dp will seriously eye roll if I do this!

Welcome Laura.

I can honetly say you are not alone in feeling this way, we've all been there and in some ways still are. Time helps though!

Make yourself comfy and talk as much as you need too, this thread has helped me so much!

welliesandpyjamas · 06/07/2012 14:43

Welcome Laura, hope you can find some comfort in our paranoia here Grin

Talking of which, my latest is a back ache, not pain, which reminds me of labour Hmm But as it's constant and not in waves, I'm not going to pester my midwife team again and waste half a day in hospital getting it checked out. Paracetmol city for now.

Wishing I'd remembered to grab ice cream and M&Ms in Tesco earlier. Sigh.

MrsReiver · 06/07/2012 16:35

*stateofconfusion8 You know I hadn't considered at all! Feeling much better about waiting now.

I went to the cinema with the children I mind, and another chidlminder friend. The VW advert came on - you know the one with the dad and daughter growing up, then he gives her car to drive off to uni in - and sobbed my way through it. I was so pleased it was dark and my mate was at the other end of the row of kids or she would have worked it out straight away!

LauraPalmer · 06/07/2012 19:23

Thanks for the welcome ladies. Today I've felt ridiculously sick and exhausted. Nothing like worrying about a lack of symptoms to produce the worst symptoms yet! Grin

Am slowly catching up with the whole thread - have been traveling for most of the day though and have had shoddy mobile access.

Hope you're all enjoying your Friday and munching through huge bags of peanut M&M's

LauraPalmer · 06/07/2012 19:24

That commercial got me, too MrsR - total sob fest.

StateofConfusion · 06/07/2012 20:03

I cry at everything, and in earlier pregnant days, sobbed over dp asking what I'd like for dinner Blush

Yup, DH went out really late last night to get me Gaviscon. I howled when he got back. Bless him.

WLmum · 06/07/2012 22:43

Welcome Laura and mrs, I second what state says, this thread is bloody marvellous and has saved my sanity and DH from yet another outpouring several times!

wellies I've got backache already too, at only 16 weeks. Annoyingly I've got a support band which is to help stop my stomach muscles separating again, but it seems to make my back ache worse. I'm taking steps to minimise picking up dd2 who seems to get heavier by the day but poor little mite is only just 2 so still wants lots of lifting and carrying. Will mention it to my mw on wed (16+ week check, hearing heartbeat for first time - yay!).

StateofConfusion · 06/07/2012 23:39

I'm 16wks tomorrow, I never thought it would happen when I typed the OP of this thread. Seeing mw tuesday, really hope she does the HB, scan on 5/08 seems ages away!

No heartburn yet nausea and gagging getting worse though!

LauraPalmer · 07/07/2012 06:57

Yay on the 16wk mark, State - it will be so great for you to hear your baby's heartbeat.

Am just about to delve into a super busy weekend, but was curious if anyone else is on progesterone? And if so, has it caused your ms symptoms to increase? I've been on it for four days now and my nausea has steadily become worse. But I'm also almost 9wks and have been told that 9wks tends to be about the time there is another hormone surge so to expect the ms symptoms to increase.

Luckily the peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are staying down so far.

WLmum · 07/07/2012 08:21

Sorry, don't know anything about progesterone. My symptoms have always been v mild which has been kind of bitter sweet. Take it as a positive sign that your body is keen to do what is necessary.

StateofConfusion · 07/07/2012 12:25

I've not direct experience of progesterone laura but if you go into the conception topic there is a pregnant after miscariage thread, place to hide, dive into the mosh pit. Lovely group of women and they will know a lot, very knowledgable bunch, I'd suggest popping over and saying hi and asking them, they save my insane brain frequently :)

Well 16wks, yep, definatly pregnant! Shock

StateofConfusion · 08/07/2012 20:45

How's everyone doing?

I'm still feeling nauseas and so tired, I thought that was meant to sod off around now? But generally I'm happily pregnant. Me and dp did some window shopping today, junior J in debanhams do gorgeous white outfits, snowsuit and blanket. We even pottered in Jojo maman bebe and found something we'd like to get for wrigglers first birthday! Getting a bit too confident perhaps.

MrsReiver · 08/07/2012 22:33

Still hanging in there, the nausea is awful and I'm totally knackered by 8pm but I'm thanking God for every symptom!

This week I'm meeting up with my cousin who is due in September, she knows about the mc and fertility treatment so she's bound to ask how we are getting on. I'll just have to come up with something suitably vague to tell her.

I love baby shopping - sounds like you have a lovely afternoon. Unfortunately with DS my MS didn't sod off until 32 weeks, and he was born 2 weeks later, I do hope yours clears up soon!

StateofConfusion · 08/07/2012 23:05

Glad your doing ok mrs I remember all too well how --shit scared-- anxious I was, it never leaves entirely but it slips away slightly, gradually.

Luckily I'm not sick just feel it, and gag a lot which is horrid. Dd is adorable though and comes and pats me and offers me tissues :)

We didn't buy anything today as were hoping to find out the sex on august 5th. Plus we got the new car so pockets are slightly empty, with ds turning 5 a week tomorow aswell!

Hope things go ok with your cousin, I was rubbish this time and told people because I was so anxious people wanted to know what was wrong. X

Well, 2 mins after I wrote that message I went to the loo and I'd been bleeding. Just a tiny little bit which appeared when I wiped but wasn't in my undies. Cue lots of tears and desperate phone call to EPU, who were lovely and reassured me it was perfectly normal and as long as it was just a wee bit, and I had no cramps I shouldn't worry.

There's been no blood since, thank God.
