I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

They sound like good complaints, state Grin Are you showing a lot now?

Ah, yes, 5 year old boys can be a challenge. My eldest is nearly 9 and has given us some difficult patches over the years. They grow out of them but it does feel like forever when you're in the middle of it! He's a lovely boy but now we're seeing hints of teenage starting to come through. Sigh!

Thank you for your reply on the other thread. I had tried Dr Google...big mistake!

WLmum · 01/07/2012 09:21

Hope you're both feeling better soon. I'm considering myself pretty lucky as I don't really have any pg issues. Have been really exhausted but feel better after a couple of mega early nights and a lazy day yesterday. I am showing loads now and it us unmissable to people I know.
My 2 yr old has a bad case of the terrible 2s. She's alternately lovely and a total beast! Last teeth coming through not helping but am very much hoping it will be a short lived phase of beastliness!

Morning all,

Starting to show a bit --more so on my boobs--

Well ds has had a better weekend but dd is being a total threenager, lots of moaning whinging and strops.

They are just rotten at home, yesterday we popped to my mums then aunts for dinner, didn't even know I'd got them they were so good!

How many weeks is everyone now? I loose track.

I'm 15+1 now Shock

Well done everyone! I was thinking perhaps we should start a new thread where we can pop in and say hi, now that we are all hopefully all feeling a little less scared. Whadya think?

welliesandpyjamas · 03/07/2012 08:22

Well, this is funny and embarassing. It struck me this morning that I'm not 25 weeks but nearly 27 weeks Blush So will adjust my entry...

Ha ha! I do hope that the baby brain will not become a permanent state after no 3 as in due course, me and my bank balance would quite like a 'proper' job again! I was putting it off knowing that there might be a third on the agenda and I'm hoping that I might feel a bit more motivated once that particular itch has been scratched!

StateofConfusion · 03/07/2012 17:01

Baby brain is definately not leaving me, today at pcworld, I looked up said entrance and promptly walked into the exit door, I was outside.Blush

I'm very Envy I am the least pregnant here

Well, just to prove that the NHS does care and that antenatal care can be very good and detailed, here's what I did today:

Had been having reduced movements for a while but kept telling myself it would be ok because some days were better than others. I'd been using my count the kicks bracelet and thought I'd been 'hitting the target' but dr google kindly informed me this morning that I need to be feeling 10 movements in 2 hours, not in 1 day (who'd have thought I'd had two kids already, eh!). So I called my community midwife team at the hospital (we don't get given the number of our own midwives here) with a simple question, just to clarify how much movement I should be feeling at 26 weeks. Instead of answering they told me to come in to see them. I then spent from 9.15 to 1.30 in hospital having the heartbeat monitored, then having a scan to check growth, then time with the doctor. Wow, what a lot of attention just because I had a little question!! Baby is fine, just a little less wriggly than her big brothers were!

Tomorrow will be a less eventful day, I hope!

so state, I am "less pregnant" than you! Except, that we are all pregnant!

wellies I'm pleased you got checked out. It is very important to recognise your baby's pattern. DS had very specific patterns of movement and I noted a change over just 2 hours. Me getting it checked out probably saved his life as I was induced the next day. 10 movements in 2 hours over simplifies things, as for example with DS it would be normal to have less than this during the day, but to have perhaps several movements a minute between 8 and 11 pm.

StateofConfusion · 03/07/2012 22:22

Sorry bonzo I'm just in a very weird mood, over emotional and overwhelmed.

wellies I'm impressed with the care you received. My hospital is up and down to be honest, never any real issues though.

How r you doing today state? And DH?

I had the bloods back from my combined test. 1:3800 for downs. Which is amazing. I think better than it was for DS, which is double wow because I'm now nearly 35.

WLmum · 04/07/2012 22:47

That's great news bonzo v reassuring isn't it. Am not the most pg on here, but think I may be the oldest!

StateofConfusion · 05/07/2012 00:15

Great results bonzo mine were 1:4000 and I'm nearly 24, dds were in the 3000's ds was 1:2800 his are ingrained on my brain as I thought that was a low number Blush

I'm feeling better, I just have far too much going on and ds is at the 4/5yo testosterone surge and boy do we know it, dp still an arse but he's in pain and hates not working so I'm gritting my teeth and trying to ignore him --whilst muttering tosser occasionally--

Fingers crossed we should be selling our car this w/end and collecting the new one which is one huge weight off, cheaper fuel and almost half price insurance, meaning the impending summer holidays aren't so daunting as we can go back to our simple days at the beach like every other summer, the current car just costs to damn much.

Feeling v sick tonight, really struggled taking my vit D.

Have my 16wk check next week and I will beg for different tablets!

WLmum · 05/07/2012 14:22

What car are you getting state? I keep doing research on cars to fit 3 car seats in the back and am a little stressed about the cost! We def need to go and check some out, but I'm thinking the Citroën zsara Picasso or c4 Picasso might be front runners.

StateofConfusion · 05/07/2012 14:54

We have a zafira atm, but can't get 3 seats in the middle row, and don't want to loose half the boot (and its so expensive to keep)

We are getting a multipla, very ugly but the inside is perfect for 5 of us, 6 independant seats so we can fit 3 big seats in the back, or have the baby up front with us on longer drives, generous boot space, cheap to run and insure. We looked at the original picasso (2003 model) and the back isn't very spacious. But dp is 6"5 and ds and dd are in britax evolvas the widest seats on the market and they're going to be tall, well dd is. We kept avoiding the multipla refusing to touch an ugly car but decided to let the fact that its funny looking go and just get it, we know a few people who have owned them and loved them. Can't wait to get it now its slate outside and red interior :)

welliesandpyjamas · 05/07/2012 16:04

WL we've just changed over to a Renault Scenic and that has space for three (1 x group 0, 1 x group 1, and a booster seat) along the back. Very economical in diesel and lovely to drive.

stateof fingers crossed for the car this weekend for you :)

WLmum · 05/07/2012 16:06

I'll have to add it to my check it out list. My 2 are quite big for their age so are in sizeable car seats, and obv won't want to be squashed together as they get older. Am always a fan of the economical! I feel some very long trips to 2nd hand car places grappling with car seats coming up - boo. Still might provide an escape from the builders that are coming in soon (to make the kitchen/dining room big enough for us all to fit in) and the DIY garden total overhaul we are attempting. Hmm to buying a house last year that needed loads of child friendlyifying!

WLmum · 05/07/2012 16:07

Thanks wellies, I was told the scenic would only take v narrow car seats but will check it out.

welliesandpyjamas · 05/07/2012 16:11

Oh, I think it could be a bit of a squeeze to start with but by the time dc3 moves in to a group 1 car seat, dc2 will be moving in to a booster, and it won't be long before dc1 will be on a normal seat! Breathe in, kids Grin

StateofConfusion · 05/07/2012 16:34

We looked at a scenic, they do 3 seperate seats in the back don't they, seem to be the most generous 5 seater wise, does that make sense. Our issue is just the stupidly large carseats we have which I don't want to swap.

The zafira would fit 3 carefully chosen seats but its a bench style seat in the middle. or a 0+, 1 and booster. But ds and dds are 123+ and fecking beasts, we paid a lot for as that should be all they ever need since infant cariers and neither me or dp want to swap seats.

The zafira goes tomorrow

Oooh nice new car. even if "new-to-you" rather than new-new. quite fancy slate outside and red inside.

Am I mad? Did I feel the baby move? 13 + 5 seems a bit too early.

MrsReiver · 05/07/2012 21:11

Hey there - 6wks +1 and absolutely freaking terrified. Long story short, no periods since coming off pill to TTC, found out I was pregnant last year, went for scan to work out how far along I was and the baby had died at 6wks. After MC periods returned, started TTC again with no results for quite a long time - just started attending fertility clinic, and found out I was pregnant a fortnight ago.

Scared out of my wits but I "feel more pregnant" this time round. We've been offered an early scan for reassurance but unfortunately there is no possible way we can attend it so am going to have to wait for our booking in scan in August. Just got to hang onto my sanity until then!
