I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Hello ladies, me again!

I finally went down for the op at 2.30, it went well and I am currently pain free which is nice. I had to have a drip in the end as I was a little dehydrated - water and tea have never tasted so good as they did afterwards!

The staff at the hospital were all really lovely, it just isn't that well set up for us mc ladies, one of the ops on the list before me ended up being less than straightforward and so at least 2 of us had to be shifted over to theatre in the main part of the hospital and onto another surgeon's list.

I was getting rather concerned as we had to be back to pick Ds up from a friend's house by 6.30 - we just made it.

Anyway, despite all of the above, it really hasn't been half as awful as last time, knowing what is coming etc does make it all a lot easier.

And I thought you would all be keen to know that the consultant gynae who was supposed to do the op was a lovely man and told Dh and I that I have a 90% chance of conceiving a pg without mc (which is much higher than I thought), he said it is much higher than most ladies think.

So now we just need to wait the obligatory 2 weeks, fingers crossed I'll be back on here in 6 weeks or so with a BFP!

And everything crossed for all you lovely ladies - I couldn't have got through this so well without all your support. I wish you all wonderful healthy pregnancies Thanks

love

Mrscupcake

So glad it went as well as it could and that everyone was nice cupcake. Best of luck ttc, make sure DH is taking a pre conception vitamin and mineral supplement too. Xx

welliesandpyjamas · 31/05/2012 08:19

Glad yesterday is over for you now mrscupcake Lots of rest now to get ready for ttc again. The hipe to see you back here in a few weeks :)

Debeezandbirds · 31/05/2012 08:20

Thank you for keeping us in the loop Cupcake. I'm glad you felt cared for by the staff and that you're currently pain free.

I'm having a mild panic this morning (SO sorry for the TMI at this time in the morning), woke up and it's not like my period, my period is usually red and heavy but I've got a brown sludge. I still feel sick this morning so I'm going to cling to that symptom. DP is away at the moment and I couldn't not tell him but now I'm regretting it as they're nothing he can do either way.

crowette · 31/05/2012 09:14

Mild panic here too Sad went to bed at 9.30 last night, took off my bra and my boobs ached. Woke up two hours later and nothing - no ache, not even tender and totally 'normal'. Still the same this morning, I feel completely normal and not pregnant.

Fingers crossed it's nothing bad Debeez!!

Debeezandbirds · 31/05/2012 11:53

Thank you Crowette. If it helps my boobs don't feel so bad on a morning as I don't sleep on them and they've been wild and free through the night. I feel more swollen and sore in the evenings.

I have so much to do today and I'm torn between getting on with it and taking my mind away from this or lying in bed not moving through some ridiculous notion it will help my chances.

We're past spotting and I'd defiantly call it a bleed now. I don't want to lose hope but at what point do I say enough, it's gone?

StateofConfusion · 31/05/2012 12:40

crowette breath! How many weeks are you? My symptoms came and went and have only been more persistant the past week, I'm now 11wks. My boobs especially sporadic, and night times the one time I get releif from any ache/pain with them. And I also have days where I don't feel pregnant at all.

deb I had sludgy brown discharge once, and everything is fine, if its coupled with pain, or you just don't feel 'right' or if your concerned call EPAU and get an apt asap. X

Debeezandbirds · 31/05/2012 12:48

Thanks State, rang the midwife, no EPU for me. I'm either miscarrying or I'm not. I have an ache but it's not sounding ectopic so I've just got to ride it out.

StateofConfusion · 31/05/2012 12:52

Oh deb that's a bit harsh leaving you not knowing ((hug)) I have aches and even slight pain on and off throughout, how many weeks are you?

OP posts:
Debeezandbirds · 31/05/2012 12:55

5 +3

I can see their point, nothing they can do. I have no childcare for DS when he finishes school either.

crowette · 31/05/2012 13:13

Thanks ladies :)

Midwife called this morning to arrange my booking in appointment, told her about symptoms going and she said it's normal and asked if I was having any sickness, which I'm not, not even in previous pregnancies. She's visiting me a week tomorrow!

Still no symptoms, if anything, my clothes seem looser too. Am at work, plodding along.

Am 6+5 weeks by my dates. No pain or spotting though. Also clinging to the memory of only short-lived breast soreness with DD2 and none at all with DD1.

debeez so sorry for what you're going through, hope all is well.xx

StateofConfusion · 31/05/2012 13:25

Oh deb don't worry my midwife said some embryos take longer to fully 'settle in' and I had those feelings at 6-7wks. The discharge was 8-9wks. ((Hugs))

Good luck booking in crowette it takes ages now there wasn't that much paperwork when I had this crazy pair!

Dd is baby mad and has asked if she can cuddle it aaaaall day. Thankfully she will be in nursery by then so I may get to hold it once in a while Grin

OP posts:
CountryKitty · 31/05/2012 13:32

Oh deb I do hope you're ok. The epu should be ashamed of themselves - that is shocking that they won't see you. I hope the bleeding settles soon and you get no pain along with it.

My boobs change all the time too; sometimes agony sometimes ok. Does make me panic a bit.

Well I had my doc app yesterday and she said it was almost def muscular and not to worry. She said as I've had it since BFP it's most likely to be the ligaments softening etc. Let's hope so. I did CB digital again this morning and got 3+. Felt much better seeing that. x

CountryKitty · 31/05/2012 13:34

state that is so cute what your DD said re the baby! Have you just told the DC after your scan?

StateofConfusion · 31/05/2012 13:58

Yes we waited for the scan, and since discovering its less than 1% chance of any problems I thought why not. She is so excited everything is about the baby and how excited she is, she will be 4 just before LO is born and we've had some dummy issues for a while and she's said "I will be a big sister so I will give my dummy to our baby ok" she's never slept through the night and has trouble settling so with regular dental check ups we decided to let her be with them, sleep is improving slowly and if that's what she wishes to do I'm on board. I'm very much a parent who allows them to make some decissions for themselves.

She wants to look at baby things so I need to get hold of a mothercare catalogue for her. She is making me feel so positive and excited.

WLmum · 31/05/2012 17:44

Sorry to hear there's been stresses abs strains today. If it's any help, my mild (apart from boobs) symptoms all disappeared and boobs only slightly bigger and sore, was convinced it was all over but my early scan showed healthy 9+3 baby. I still have no symptoms and don't feel of at all but touch wood everything will continue to be ok. I'm not getting complacent though until at least after my next scan in just under 2 weeks time.

Also when I did mc, blood was bright red and free flowing so v diff from what you're describing.

Hope everyone feels better soon. X

welliesandpyjamas · 01/06/2012 08:13

Hope everyone feels better today. My scan is at 4 today. I'm quite excited but very aware that the post-mc fear is still rearing its ugly head. Baby is moving plenty but I'm still scared of going to a scan and getting bad news. Silly, isn't it! I still haven't made the news properly public yet. Only family, close friends, and obviously people who see me daily and can't avoid seeing my massive bump know I'm pregnant. I keep finding new deadlines to put off releasing the news, like wait til the 12 week scan, then the 20 week scan, and now this follow up 22 week scan...and I'm already having thoughts about waiting til 24 weeks because it's after that the baby would have a chance if born premature. I'm being such a wuss!

Anyway, off to start the day, filling it up with distractions and busyiness to stop me worrying Grin

x

crowette · 01/06/2012 08:29

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! Feeling pretty silly now though Blush Had an awful day yesterday with all the worry I created for myself - felt totally non pregnant, then as I was working I felt the overwhelming urge to pee (can usually hold on until I've finished what I'm doing) but had to drop everything halfway and run to the toilets only to do the tiniest of pees Hmm so was thinking 'so one lots of symptoms have gone, to be replaced by another' and that was the way it was for the next couple of hours at work!

Got home and started to have crampy stretchy pains, but this made me worry more [bangs head on wall]

But then, I went to bed and as I took my bra off ... oooh the agony!! Boob soreness back with a vengeance Grin Still with me this morning ... OH and I have never been so pleased for me to be in pain!

In my defence, my MC started with loss of boob soreness and feeling totally normal, with bleeding the following day, so I suppose it will freak me out.

I've got the day off today, so should be spending it finishing off the wedding invites so I can send them off after the weekend, and making my dad's birthday card for tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well - thinking of you debeez

StateofConfusion · 01/06/2012 08:33

Good luck today wellies will be thinking of you!

Nothing to feel silly about crow we have all felt the same at some point and inevtitably will again!

OP posts:
crowette · 01/06/2012 08:41

oooh took my so long to type my post (all the typos I keep making and trying to type over the cat) that I missed wellies post Blush Good luck! I'm ure it'll all be fine, sending out positive vibes!

crowette · 01/06/2012 10:51

Just after my last post, midwife called and said she could come see me today if I'm free ... she's just left, and I'm all booked in Grin It all seems semi official now (official after 12 week scan for me!) She said she does the aqua natal classes too, so I'll be going for those after my scan :)

Had to laugh though, we have a cat, who slept through most of the time of the midwife being here, got up to have a sniff about towards the end, and when I went to see the midwife out I turned on the hallway light (live in a flat with no windows in hallway), there was the cat, having a dump in her litter tray, right in front of us! How embarrassing!! Blush Cat got scared and jumped out mid dump, leaving some poo on the hall floor, lovely. Had to scoop it up and dispose of it, couldn't leave THAT there for OH to clear up this evening.

WLmum · 01/06/2012 12:28

Try to relax and enjoy seeing your bub waving at you wellies

Def nothing to feel silly about crow like state says, we all gave our freak outs and here is a great place to do it!
