I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Hooray bonzo! That's great news, lucky you to have such an accessible epu.
Hooray and fingers crossed state. Will be sending you positive vibes. 2 weeks today til my next scan, will be 12+3 by then, already feeling nervous.
Welcome crowette sorry that you have had previous experience that has led to you joining us here, but yay that you are having a new experience that means you are joining us.

WLmum · 29/05/2012 20:47

Oh cupcake that it so lovely of you. I really hope tom goes well for you too and that you manage to maintain your amazing attitude, and of course that you very quickly have the big belly you so deserve. Xxx

welliesandpyjamas · 29/05/2012 22:29

Thinking of you both for tomorrow, cupcake and stateof :)

StateofConfusion · 29/05/2012 22:45

Thank you wellies

dp is stuck on repeat "you will be fine, you WILL, i am never wrong" etc. also now adding "your boobs are huge this time, they weren't before" gotta love him, the adorable fool.

bonzo77 · 29/05/2012 23:16

state getting in now wishing you luck for tomorrow and sleep for tonight. Your DP is being very sweet. Good news on the car, rubbish news on the back. But... you know all the relaxin hormones do make one more prone to stretching and straining things when up the duff...so that's another good pg symptom!

cupcake, same to you really. I also had an anembryonic pregnancy which became my mmc. Like you, the fact that there really had never been a baby made things more bearable somehow. My ERPC went so smoothly, was totally pain free. The nurse called the next day to check up on me and told me off for not taking anti-inflammatories provided. I had light bleeding for a few days, a BFN after 5 days, and light spotting on and off till AF came after 27 days. God forbid I mc again, I would do the same thing.

WL I couldn't really believe it. I rocked up at 4pm with no appointment, was seen within 15 minutes, didn't have to lie, just said I was worried about lack of symptoms based on my mmc experience. In goes dildo cam, big smile from sonographer who turned the screen for me to see, then took measurements. The strangest thing is how much it had changed from 11 days ago! I know it was different hospital and equipment, but now it looked like an actual bean, the egg sack was obvious and fat and round. Weirdly it was the same room where I had my mc scans, so now that room has a lot of history for me.

crowette I have 2 brothers, one 2 years younger and one 15 years younger. My brothers have always been very very close. Too close sometimes and the younger sometimes really upsets the older. I was not close to the youngest when he was small (I left home when he was 2), but we are now and he often comes to me and tells me stuff that he doesn't anyone else.

StateofConfusion · 29/05/2012 23:34

Thats lovely to hear bonzo, i hope i get a nice sonographer. The one who told me of the mmc was almost crying, i felt so bad that she then had to snap out of it for the next pregnant lady, she was nice. And thank you, all the support really helps me.

my backs eased a little more, I've finally managed to eat something and feel sick again and teary.

well fingers crossed because i want this little jelly bean SO much.

Woken by DS doing cot gymnastics. So good opportunity to reach out for hand holding for state.

crowette · 30/05/2012 08:10

Good Luck state!!!

Thanks bonzo, my girls don't know I'm pregnant yet, but we told them last time and they were very excited. Eldest is off to uni later in the year, but youngest will be like a little mother hen and wanting to do everything!

I had a crap night - went to bed early as I was so tired, woke up at 1am and started worrying about things going wrong, that sent my heart racing and I could not sleep for ages, and even then I couldn't get comfy and laying on my back was worst.

Not sure if I imagined a teensy weensy bit of nausea when I woke up, but boobs are definitely very tender and getting more so!

No other symptoms, but I was pretty much symptom free with my girls.

CountryKitty · 30/05/2012 10:53

Goodluck with your scan today state

Crowette I feel your pain - also had to crap night's sleep. Woke up about 2ish for the bathroom and couldn't get back to sleep til after 4. Thankfully not at work today so plan to have a nap once DD2 is at nursery.

Thinking positively my DD's will be 8 & 5 when this one's born so it's nice to hear that larger age gaps don't necessarily mean that siblings won't be close.

Got my doc app this afternoon for my sore back, hips and are now also sore :(

Hope everyone is well, x

StateofConfusion · 30/05/2012 11:16

I'm officially pregnant very wriggly little baby in there 10+6 instead of 11+5 nice strong heartbeat and a nuchal scan booked for 14/7/12.

OP posts:
crowette · 30/05/2012 11:24

Yay state!!! Congratulations, officially Grin

Good luck for your nuchal scan ... 14/7 is a great date; I'm getting married that day!

CountryKitty · 30/05/2012 11:56

Congratulations State that's fab news!!! So happy for you!!

SwanseaMum · 30/05/2012 12:55

Congrats state really happy for you :D

welliesandpyjamas · 30/05/2012 12:56

Excellent news, ststeof!!! very pleased for you :)

Relax and try enjoying it a bit now Wink

bonzo77 · 30/05/2012 13:03

state phew! What a relief!

mrscupcake · 30/05/2012 13:57

That's brilliant news stateof I'm so pleased for you.

Probably should start a separate thread about this but I hope you ladies don't mind me venting on here? Arrived at hospital this morning at 8am, told I'd be going down for ERPC at 11, given pessaries to soften my cervix. Still waiting at 1.50 to go for op, may have to go on a drip soon so I don't dehydrate. Staff are all very nice but it's very noisy and boring etc.

As dh says it's making a distressing time even more stressful Shock

My experience last year in Devon could not have been more different.

Sorry to moan

x

StateofConfusion · 30/05/2012 14:28

Oooh! Congratulations Crow I am stupid though, my scans 14th June not July Blush

I've never had such a wriggly baby at any scans I've had so I'm taking that as a positive.

cupcake I am Angry on your behalf, I do hope things improve dramatically and quickly! I've been thinking of you sending lots of love and calming thoughts. You are always welcome to vent here! Xx

HettyTurner · 30/05/2012 15:03

Congratulations state, phew. Enjoy now, and only 2 weeks until you get to see the little wriggler again!

crowette · 30/05/2012 16:03

Haha state after I'd posted I did begin to wonder if that was right, as it'd be leaving it a bit late!

I'm 2/3 way through my shift at work, having a quick break and cup of water ... I'm shattered. Keep thinking I've started to bleed, rush to toilet but nothing there. Tummy feels bloated and I just want to go home, lay in bed and wrap myself up until 12 weeks. At least. Ah well, 5 weeks and 3 days to go! Hopefully.

bonzo77 · 30/05/2012 17:00

stare I did wonder about 14/7. As it happens 14/6 is our wedding anniversary too. An auspicious day!

WLmum · 30/05/2012 17:02

Fantastic news state Grin. That means we're almost neck and neck as I'm 10+4 today. My next scan is 2 days before yours.

Congrats crow I always love a wedding.

cupcake so sorry you are having such a crap time. Your DH is quite right, making a rubbish time worse.

SwanseaMum · 30/05/2012 17:56

Cupcake that is so crap hope everything is ok now xxx

Debeezandbirds · 30/05/2012 18:05

StateofConfusion Sorry I wasn't here earlier to wish you luck, stupid work stuff, I am so happy for you! Congratulations!

mrscupcake It sounds like a thoroughly awful day was made a damn site worse. Please don't apologise for having a vent on here Sad. I'm thinking of you.

Crow Congrats on your wedding!

Nothing major from me today, POAS again still positive. Puked everywhere this morning. Never been so happy to hug the toilet.
