Morning all,

Want a brief grump if I may (slighty funny really...): so I took off my VERY EXPENSIVE posh bra I bought in Harrods last night as tbh, it does hurt me by the end of the day (unlike the M&S ones, go figure Confused ). Came downstairs this morning to find it on the floor. Didn't think much of it, as the dog does sometimes somehow manage to grab things off the table. Had a look just now and she's TRASHED it. Which explains why she's been so subdued all morning as she knows she's been bad. Nightmare. But I do have a funny image of her chewing away on the clips like crazy! Dogs, eh?! This would never happen with a cat.

Scrambled eggs for brekkie in front of Saturday Kitchen (which ahs had yuk food on recently, so hope this week is better!). x

Westcountrylovescheese · 10/03/2012 10:55

That's funny MrsMiggins. I suspect you'll have to get used to this, I hear toddlers are just as bad! If it makes you feel better my cat has puked on many treasured things... and what he did to my slippers. Not good, at least the dog admits he's been naughty!

Well all, I think, and I'm just putting it out there.... but... I am starting to feel normal, almost good even... In fact this morning feels very bright and happy and I'm smiling.... Is this... blooming...?Wink

18+4

hamncheese · 10/03/2012 11:11

LOVING all this talk about blooming :D woohoo! Bring on the blooming peoples!

Nice bump poppy and thanks for the bump love for my own one hehe wearing the stripes makes it bumpier I think.

Had to wear this heart rate monitor for 24 hours cause of those weird after eating episodes so not an especially comfy sleep. One of the bits fell off in the night too so don't know if that makes the results invalid and it was meant to come off at 3pm today but it's my grans bday and first bump on show outing for my family to see so didn't fancy having wires poking out of me all afternoon. So I cheated Blush it's only a few hours less and it already fell off so I can get it re-done if necessary I guess. Bah. I only took it cause the guy at the hospital seemed really keen on it it wont pick up the racing heart as I'm so careful not to be cold and hungry! OH WELL. Of to lunch with the family wheeee!

hamncheese · 10/03/2012 11:12

Oh and forgot your bra thing made me laugh miggins but totally sympathise... so many times I make things (usually cakes) and put them in tubs on the table only to find the tub clawed open and cakes smeared half eaten on the floor but delightful kitties!

MrsMigginslovespies · 10/03/2012 11:34

Naughty kitties! They can claw open the tin?! V impressive, sort of! Do love animals though, even though she's just cost me £29-50 on a new (but comfy hopefully) bra. Last week she destroyed a beaded cardi. And a pen all over the afghan rug (stolen from DParents'). Going through her naughty teenage years at 9 months, plus just finished her season so hormones all over the place (like me). Poor DH Grin.

PoppyS34wantsgoatscheese · 10/03/2012 11:55

MrsM at least your doggy has good taste in posh bras :o bless her! Cats don't chew bras (not that I've noticed), but if you've got a favourite top/jacket/trousers then generally my cat will make a good bed out if, so you end up with hairy clothes.. Confused (Do dogs do that too?) lol @ Westc and ham my cat does all that too..!

Really nice to hear all this blooming, I am whispers actually feeling ok at the moment! Walked to work a fair few times last week, hit the gum twice and slept through the night last night Shock, no loo trip until 7am.. (small things!! Blush

Thanks Hamncheese :) hope the monitor thing got enough data, you never know? Enjoy your visiting...

have a great Saturday everyone.. Brew

Angel786 · 10/03/2012 16:00

Yon wow poppy nice bump! Didn't realise your pic was there.

Anyone else have any bump pics?

Sorry to hear that mrsm, if it's any consolation our sofas have Bern destroyed with all sorts of food stuffs thrown at it by dd... I have now given up cleaning them pretty much (!) and resigned myse
F to buying new ones after this baby has grown up a bit!

hamncheese · 10/03/2012 19:12

Cats, dogs, children ... all useful for wrecking your stuff it seems ha! The kits can't get through tin (thank goodness or I'd have no safe place to put edible, non fridge items safely) but can open up tin boxes and also tupperware. They are monsters really, the boys are just turned 1 though so now mostly grown up and behaving a lot better. Had a right freak out when first got pregnant and they were still very naughty and wild that I would have to get rid of them to cope with mad cats and a new baby but they've saved getting foisted on a friend by behaving better. They are all still very good at pulling threads in anything fabric though grrr! Hoping having had kittens/cats will make me a more patient parent haha! Grin

Also just had that chilli cheddar you get mmmmmmmmmm so good!

Sounds like we've mostly all got happy stories and i am loving the bump pics. i should take some myself... but i am so lazy.

waiting to ask the mw but i am almost certain the regular movements are LO. bits of him/her even poke out every once in a while for dh to feel. it's a bit eerie as it looks like a little lump escaping from me, just like in the movie alien.
Only 16+5 today & this is only dc1 so i could be wrong on what the movements are...

hamncheese · 11/03/2012 14:20

Just read this in my pregnancy book last night...

Apparently if you are very forgetful and foggy in the head during pregnancy you are more likely to be having a girl. Not just an old wive's tale either, apparently research-based.

I'm constantly referring to having "baby brain"... like forgetting what I was saying half way through a sentence and not being able to comprehend what people are saying to me for aaages... so by that logic, girl? Hmmmmm

(18 weeks today!)

Westcountrylovescheese · 11/03/2012 14:31

Hamncheese, girl for me too then, will know in a week and a half... having said that does it take into account how dazed and confused you were beforehand?

I'm actually giving both DH and boss reason to be continuously stressed by falling my down stairs at work (onto knees), falling over at home (onto bed) and generally threatening to fall over constantly. My piece de resistance (sic) is walking out of sight making a loud noise followed by an expletive, keeps their nerves on high alert that one. DH is currently doing DIY and I have been asked to remain in one room sat down whilst there are so many wires, handles, detritus hanging around!

I'm all set for not just a girl, but one who especially likes ink, ponies, butterflies, unicorns and kittens!

Westcountrylovescheese · 11/03/2012 14:37

Ink..? No, pink.

miaboo · 11/03/2012 14:39

Hi all, Husband felt little bump moving today!! which is good as we have a midwife appointment on Tuesday as she couldnt find the heartbeat last time so happy happy! Have also uploaded a pic of the 16 week bump!!

farmerswifey · 11/03/2012 17:24

Ooh Hamncheese 'forgetful and foggy'; that sounds just like me! I've rather convinced myself I'm having a girl right from the very start so I might get a little shock on Wednesday if it turns out to be a boy - exciting times indeed!

Hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday afternoon out in the glorious sunshine :)

hamncheese · 11/03/2012 17:54

Cute bump miabo!

Hahahaha west maybe not only the forgetfulness means something but also the clumsiness. I keep on hurting myself too walking into things and such. Today I was running a bath and hopped in standing up to find the water not very warm so turned the hot on and "stirred" it with my foot yknow? Anyway managed to put my foot right under the burning water (our hot water is VERY hot) and now got a massive red burn on my foot which has been on fire all day. Been walking about with reuseable ice cubes in my socks!! Mind you though, I'm pretty clumsy at the best of times so it's more a continuation of form, perhaps exacerbated by the foggy mind Hmm

wifey I thought girl too at the start as my pregnancy has mirrored my Mum's when she was having me, but not like her's with my brother at all. Not very scientific. But now I doubt girl because secretly I would prefer a girl first (though I will not be disappointed if it is a boy at all... just a 'in a perfect world' scenario!)

I won't know til August though but very interested to see if the foggy and forgetful thing holds true for those on here finding out the sex in the next few weeks Grin

Westcountrylovescheese · 11/03/2012 18:00

Oh no Ham... Poor you.

Wow Miaboo, can't wait for that!

Angel786 · 11/03/2012 18:27

Oh that's a perfect bump miaboo

west hope you're ok despite the knocks and falls?! Usually I trip up three times a day but not so much since pg.

With dd was v forgetful - threw a 1920s vintage one off necklace I'd just bought out in the packaging it came in by mistake Sad

Not sooo bad this time but convinced it's another girl rather than boy.

MrsMigginslovespies · 11/03/2012 18:29

Hmm, interesting info re forgetful. I go through phases with it, and am often absent-minded anyway, but have been much more clumsy recently. Really couldn't tell you what I'm having but can't wait to find out on 29th. Had busy day today doing things at home (weeding, car cleaning, laundry etc) with DH which is good but now have another cracking headache. Bleuch. But it's been a gorgeous day here and feel Spring is springing. Mum has very kindly bought some lovely baby things too that sound really nice.

Off to clean bathroom now then collapse into a headachy pile! Have a good evening, x

NeedlesCuties · 11/03/2012 18:30

Hi everyone,

Just a little question regarding the wonderfully maintained August list we have...

Those of us who are hopefully going to find out the gender, do you want me to add it to the list beside your name? That way in August we can discover who was right and if anyone got it wrong. If no one is up for it then that's no worries, was just an idea.

I'm hopefully going to be finding out at my 20 week scan in April :) Think it's a girl, but that's just my hunch.

MrsMigginslovespies · 11/03/2012 19:31

Needles, I'm happy for you to put it on. Good idea! And thanks for maintaining it Flowers

MrsMigginslovespies · 11/03/2012 19:32

Ha, that should be Thanks. baby brain really in evidence tonight!

Vinolover · 11/03/2012 19:35

Im happy with it being next to my name Needles. Im having a boy :)

I hope everyone has had a nice weekend :)

tashaw28 · 11/03/2012 21:24

Hmmm I'm always foggy and forgetful anyway!!! Guess I'm a bit worse now because I've got my Consultant 16 week appt tom (at 17+2!) and have already left out urine pot for tom morn as I'm sure I'll forget otherwise!!!

susiegrapevine · 11/03/2012 22:10

Yeah am getting very foggy and forgetful tho not sure if its worse than last time with ds seems a bit worse. With ds I also fell over whilst already on the floor! There is no hope for me.

Oh as for feeling movement was driving this eve and felt a very strong movement! This was not good whilst driving! It gave me a massive shock I almost braked!
