Is there anyone around who has just found out that they are pregnant and are due in Sept?
I know it's very early days but I thought maybe I could get the ball rolling...
I'm due around Sept 4th I think, with DC2, feeling very happy if a bit nervous :)

Dorita75 · 23/01/2012 20:18

Go for it ethel I was managing it too but then thought, who am I struggling through this bravely for???! I can't praise these things enough (and no, I don't work in Boots Wink)

ballroomblitz · 23/01/2012 20:35

Wow this is a huge september thread.

Wishing you all the best iph xx

Anyone who is having a second or subsequent and getting big already? This is not thickening of the waist but full on pot-belly with the belly button going a bit funny looking already. Even a college friend told me she could see my belly today through my jumper. I swear I'm as big as I was 3/4 months gone (I was teeny tiny) last time and now I'm only coming 6 wks???

Hotcupofteaplease · 23/01/2012 20:54

Oh Iph I'm so sorry you're going through this, I have my fingers crossed that it all works out fine... Thinking of you x

Whatevertheweather · 23/01/2012 21:27

Is anyone else getting really bad lower backache? Don't remember it being this bad before.

Ballroom yes to pot belly!! My jeans are already feeling tight - I gave in and wore leggings today. This is my third. My last was only 5mths ago so think that's why i've popped out quickly.

Herecomesbod · 23/01/2012 21:38

Hi all, hope you don't mind me jumping in, usually more of a lurker but just found this thread & couldn't resist.

All symptoms so far are exactly the same as with DC1, sore boobs, eating like a horse. The difference this time is now I know how awful SPD can be (last 6 weeks of last pregnancy), that I'm dreading getting it again. If anyone has any tips on how to avoid SPD in late pregnancy please shout up!

Lots of great news on this thread but so sorry to hear of not so positive news. Thinking of you all.

ThreeForTea · 23/01/2012 22:10

Hi herecomesbod Congrats and welcome.

ballroom yes to to a giving-the-game-away tummy. Going to have to dig out some baggy tops and let myself be seen necking cakes and butter if I want to get away with it a week more!

WaitingForLittleR · 23/01/2012 23:07

IPH - really sorry, keeping the fingers crossed for you x

Ballroom - I am sitting here on the couch with a massively bloated belly - and this is my first! Wore a dress to work today with a narrow belt around the waist - not good when sitting down, belly just stuck out under it so it looked like I was hiding a basketball under there - ridiculous! Thankfully the guy that sits beside me was out, so I got away with it - but that dress is out from now on I think :(

In other news I've booked an early scan for next Tuesday morning. After recent MMC I'll be bricking it till then, but have made myself wait until 9wks. Boobs seem less sore and I'm not so tired, daft belly is main symptom now - so really hoping everything will be ok. Made first NHS midwife appointment for next Friday too - wanted to wait until after the scan, but I'll be 10 weeks exactly by then so thought I should get a move on...

Nikna · 24/01/2012 01:18

Hope everything is ok iph

This is such a busy thread! No I am not posting in the middle of the night, but am dropping in from the land downunder.

ballroomblitz I am glad you mentioned the expanding tummy thing. I have been thinking surely not, but even had to undo the button on my baggiest jeans in the car yesterday! Admittedly I have had a huge appetite throughout January and have been eating lots of naughty things.

DangerMousey · 24/01/2012 06:54

Hello all, I am also due in September - got my BFP on Friday, and am overwhelmed as it is a semi-unplanned honeymoon DC and my first! Think I'm about 5 weeks if I've got this counting thing right...

My details are:

DangerMousey 30 DC1 EDD 25/09/2012 SE London

Symptoms so far are some low, heavy, crampy feelings in my womb (like period pains) - am seeing the doc tomorrow so am hoping she will reassure me this is nowt to worry about.

Also, haven't pooed for about 4 days, really feel the need to go, but nothing forthcoming :-/

Not sure if this is an early symptom or just a side effect of having a Dominoes for dinner the night before I did the test...!

Anyone else feeling this?

x

FloydieDoydie · 24/01/2012 07:54

As this thread will soon be full, what does everyone think about having a separate stats thread? The current list is massive already, and I know I'm missing from it as I never seem to be able to "catch" an up to date one to copy&paste! Smile Just an idea anyway.

I'm shattered and yesterday had a mahoosive headache. Not sure if it's my migraine condition, coming off all meds for it, hormones, crazy waking in the middle of the night, or what. A warm bath, paracetamol, and (eventually) sleeping seems to have helped. Don't want to be relying on painkillers though.

Also DP made me sad last night when he said he was worrying about me falling over or bumping into things due to my illness, and that it needs to be "sorted" or he will be too worried about me being alone with a baby Sad I can't have another MRI now and I can't take any medication (by that they were really helping as Dr hadn't found the "right" combo yet), so I don't know what I'm supposed to do about this Sad

Anyway, on a lighter and really gross note: I did a fart so so smelly last night I was sure it was going to wake DP Blush

Boobs are getting properly sore now, and I feel really nauseous if I don't eat the split-second I'm hungry. Also, being in cars makes me want to boke. No actually sickness though (touch wood).

I'm looking forward to my extra special tesco delivery on Thursday - but the man will laugh at me as it is x4 tubs of raspberry sorbet, x3 huge galaxy bars, x3 potato dauphinois and other assorted crap I really fancy Smile No real food at all!

Whatevertheweather · 24/01/2012 08:00

Dangermousey - congratulations and welcome Smile Are you taking any pregnancy vitamins that contain iron? I am taking pregnacare and am sure it's the iron in them that makes me constipated Blush

OutMeAndDie · 24/01/2012 08:47

Stats thread = great idea!

Macaroons · 24/01/2012 08:50

Welcome to more newbies! I'm so tired these days. It's only 8.50 I've got a full working day ahead of me, how am I going to cope? My boobs get sore more often now and bras are getting tight, an excuse to go shopping (but I'm so tired that I don't wanna do anything but go to sleep) btw does anyone feel that their urine has got more concentrated? Stronger colour and stronger odour? (sorry if tmi) should I be worried, would this be uti?Confused

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 24/01/2012 08:51

floydiedoydie agree, when this thread is full, think a separate stats thread would be good. Can't believe how quickly this one has grown and how many babies are die in Sept!

Holls I see you are somewhere in my neck of the woods! I was worrying that there were no Yorkies on the thread! Grin ha ha ha!

Had to phone in sick today, not for anything pregnancy related but because I am
Absolutely full of cold. I woke up at about 3am this morning and my throat felt so sore and now I just have snot literally dripping out of my nose (sorry if TMIGrin). So dropped DH and DD off and have gone back to bed! It's the first days sick I've had since I started back after my mat leave, so don't feel too bad about it! Although I have had quite a bit of time off with DD when she's been ill and not able to go to nursery, but that's all been leave, so it's hardly been to my benefit!!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 24/01/2012 08:52

Due of course, due, not die.. ArrrggghhhBlush

kellzi · 24/01/2012 09:01

Waiting, I am due 1st sept, it says I am 8 weeks, you say you are 9 on Tuesday and you are due 13/09,
I am worried as I have not even been docs yet, and will need nuchal scan

My last period was 25/26 nov, 28 day cycle,
Am I right on my dates.

Whatevertheweather · 24/01/2012 09:06

Kellzi - I would say you are roughly 8+3. I'm due 05/09 and am 8 weeks tomorrow. Chances are it'll all change at 12 week scan. For your dates I'd say your 12 week scan should be around 18th February x

kellzi · 24/01/2012 09:08

Thank you, just waiting as long as poss before drs, and mw, as I had a mc in October and dontbwant to tempt fate, x

fruitloop101 · 24/01/2012 09:13

Whatevertheweather Yep - I am getting really bad lower back ache. It helps to have hot baths and back rubs - but it comes and goes. But it is really bad especially when tired. Any tips?

pamplem0usse · 24/01/2012 09:19

To all of those ladies who are bleeding, the stats say that while in 50% of cases the result is not a positive one, in half it's fine. I bled until 16 weeks pregnant with my first daughter and had numerous scans but the only cause they could find was 'cervical erosion'. When I was having a conversation with the nurse doing my smear (like you do) she asked whether I'd experienced bleeding in pregnancy because there was something about my cervix that indicated it was quite likely. Had a (v small) amount of bleeding last night but trying to remain calm. I had big clots last time and all was well, so please don't lose hope!!
Threefortea we're moving to Goldington; house sale going through in about two weeks and then a bit of work on it before we move in (it's a bit of a wreck! what am I doing!). Looking forward to discovering some interesting groups! Have you been to any of the crafty sessions at the little kids homeware shop (Little Monkeys? is it?).
Think we're going to do buggy board, but my little girl is slightly older than yours (she'll be just two when this one is born) she's already not keen on her buggy so hoping to encourage that but think it's a bit much to expect her to walk everywhere (might take a while including meanderings whenever she sees a squirrel/dog/bird)....
Better do some work!

Whatevertheweather · 24/01/2012 09:24

Someone told me heat pads Fruitloop so I'm going to buy some today
