September 2012 anyone?

Is there anyone around who has just found out that they are pregnant and are due in Sept?
I know it's very early days but I thought maybe I could get the ball rolling...
I'm due around Sept 4th I think, with DC2, feeling very happy if a bit nervous :)

DS will be 22 months old when this one is born (fingers crossed everything stays ok with this pregnancy)

Hoping i will cope!!

(part of me is thinking what have we done, how will i cope, i must be mad, the other part is trying to focus on how good it will be for the children to be close, and plus i'm 35 so can't waste time really, especially as thinking about having another 2 if we can!)

If all goes well, gap will be 2 years and 10months ish. Hoping to have DD well and truly potty trained and in a bed by then!!!

Can I join too?!!first time on here so bare with me..due Sept 15th,got a ds age 4 and dd age 3,feeling fine so far,no real symptoms-the same with previous pregnancies,bring on the scan so it'll all seem real!

With the normal scans we get, have any of you actually managed to get a proper good view of the screen? I only ask because yesterday I couldn't see at all, and it seems a bit unfair that DH gets a proper squizz and I don't. Stupid sonographer had bed arranged in such a way that if I had tried to look properly, I would have moved and peanut would have gone off screen. Grr.

I'm expecting DC2, all being well, and the gap will be about 2 years 8 months. Anyone in the Midlands? I'm trying to decide between Good Hope or George Eliot hospitals for this one. Went to George Eliot last time and it was ok but not brilliant.

Looks like September is going to be a very busy month!

when my bean is born I will have DS age 8 and DD age almost 2! not sure how I will cope with a toddler and a newborn and getting to school on foot but I'm sure I shall!

My main dilemma at the moments is to double buggy or not to double buggy... She already loves to walk a lot

I'll have 2 yr 10 m between my two - I always wanted a 3 yr gap so I'm happy with the timings!

Ah lurking our DC must be about same age then, as our gap will be the same!

Our gap between dd and new baby will be 2 years 2 months. I too am having the double buggy debate with myself!

Ds1 will only be 16 months so I don't have a choice. We have a silver cross pop duo in the family and altho they can be used from birth I'm not sure how comfortable I am with it. Suggestions welcome

My age gap with my ds & dd is 17 months,I splashed out on a double buggy but sold it after 6 months(when oldest turned 2)& ended up buying a buggy board which he loved and we still use now..

Do u think it's worth me getting one? I'm happy to get a second hand one. It's that in between age isn't it. How did you cope with the age gap?

Pretty full on-both in nappies etc but really glad I had them close as now they play really well together now so all good!I'd hold out on double or go for second hand-I had phil & teds which I liked..

Hi all

I'm tentatively excited. Tested positive this week and due around 24 September. My daughter is one year old and we had an early miscarriage just before Christmas so we got right back trying but now can't quite get excited until the 12 week scan. I've already decided not to bother with a double buggy as my little monster I mean darling won't go in the buggy anyway she rides on her board or walks so we can only hope the next one will concede to getting some use out of it! Strange but I'm going to miss work - I'm just enjoying beig back!

Evening all so glad it's the wknd was supposed to have booking in on mon but have now had to put back by two weeks due to work commitments, anyone know if first MW appt at 10+2 is late? Hoping it's enough time to get the first scan organised....

Second query - does anyone feel like they are showing? I am 8 weeks tomorrow and have a round hard tummy that is hard to hide in fitted work dresses, was hoping to hide it until 4 months but looking unlikely

Last but if advice required a good friend of mine knows we are trying and has asked if I'm pg every month for a year..... Now last month I said AF had arrived and this month she is asking again, I feel bad lying but we haven't told family, step kids etc and I don't trust her to not tell someone (that doesn't sound good) is anyone else in the same situation with a slightly pushy, gossipy friend?!

loup I feel not that I am showing (6 weeks I think) but certainly my waist has thickened and trousers are uncomfy - annoying as eating mega sensibly.

So glad it's the weekend, work so busy and just worry all the time about my little kidney bean. By the time I get home in the evening I am shattered and just sleep the.n I go to bed and can't sleep and then I wake up at 5.30am - a whole hour before my alarm goes off. Just hope I am looking after it ok.

Seeing in laws tomorrow and telling them and also my granny (who is 90 - this is her first ggc so hope she will be pleased!!)

Hi loup the only thing I would be slightly worried about is you getting your scan organised. Once you've had your booking appt they have to input all your info onto the system at the hosp and they sort your scan at the same time. Not sure what it's like everywhere else but here they like to book you in between 7 and 8 weeks and if they have any sort of back log you might end up missing the window for the NT test (this happened to my friend, even though there were spaces for scans, because her details werent on the system, she didnt get scanned til 15 weeks!!! if you're not fussed about having that it's no great shakes, but if you are I might be a bit anxious about it. I assume I've not missed the obvious and you've opted for a private scan!

Re: your friend, I'd just lie! My best friend asked me, but she could tell and she knew we'd been trying and she is my bezzie mate!!

I would (and have) lied too. They shouldn't ask IMO but they do [sigh]
