drank castor oil now havin pains??????

im 40wks pregnant,drank castor oil about 4 hours ago.experienced high amount of vommiting and terrible diaarrohea.shooting pains up my bum. is that normal???

There's a reason the medical profession strongly recommend you don't try bringing on labour by taking castor oil... and you've found out why. Call NHS direct and see what they tell you to do.

Jesus woman. Everyone knows castor oil is a bad bad idea. Ring the osp and check. Good luck hope all goes well.

see the last thing you want is to be in labour whilst experiencing vomiting and diahorrea

I would second the suggestion to call your midwife and tell her what you've done

How're you feeling now? d&V can set off contractions bit not necessarily labour. Had bad virus at 36 wkd and the pains were awful.
