Freezingmyarseoff · 25/04/2012 14:45

Congratulations lady, wonderful news. And a beautiful name too. SmileSmile

Youremindmeofthebabe · 25/04/2012 14:48

Congratulations ladybee A beautiful name, hope alls well. We had a TT snipped here too, but a bit later, at 5 weeks. Bit of a learning curve but we got there in the end. Hope you're enjoying the lovely snuggles Smile

KnitterNotTwitter · 25/04/2012 14:49

Scan was great this morning. Bean confirmed as a girl and current estimate is 7lb and 12oz. Estimate on due date is 10lb ish not 11lb which is nice. She is head down, and has been for two weeks now!

I find out from the consultant on Tuesday whether there is any chance they'll let me into the MLU or whether my previous shoulder distocia and the fact this is another large baby mean that it's the 'normal' labour ward for me...

LAF77 · 25/04/2012 15:51

Oh lady so happy to read this! Ive known you on my TTC mission after mc for 2 years now and I'm so pleased for you! Welcome back Ladybe!

AmandinePoulain · 25/04/2012 16:46

Congratulations lady, lovely news xxx

No more bleeding here Smile

moomin don't worry about irregular movements, it's still early days. I'd go for days with no movements a few weeks ago, that's not the case now! Grin

mousebacon · 25/04/2012 18:48

Yay! Massive congratulations lady Grin Grin Grin That's brilliant news!

Congrats on the good scan too knitter I have to confess, there's a teeny tiny part of me that wishes I knew what I was having too!

It's so lovely to see lots of 'oldies' pop over and say hello. Big waves to all if you, let us know how you're getting on Smile

xx

CaribouMoo · 25/04/2012 21:09

Another oldie crashing the thread to say a huge congratulations to my old pal LadyBee!! I heard the wonderful news through the grapevine and am thrilled to bits for you. So lovely to hear that your wee girl is here safe and well. You take care of yourself and enjoy her xx

Although I talk to you every day on FB Dachs I would also like to formally congratulate you through the medium of MN on the arrival of Camellia, who is the most darling little girl. Well done to all who have had recent arrivals and good luck to those at the top!!

tiggersreturn · 25/04/2012 22:23

Congratulations Dachs and Lady! I was just stalking Dachs and came across the good news for you both. Glad to see people who were with me on the journey for quite a while reaching the next stage. May they bring you lots of happiness. And I'm very Envy of girls....

tiggersreturn · 25/04/2012 23:13

And hello to mouse and knitter as well! (waves back)

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/04/2012 09:34

Waves to tigger and all the other stalkers who have come to see how I'm doing. :)

And the old timers who I know on FB - it's nice seeing you here on MN, where we met xxx

Camellia says hello and gives you all a gummy grin, which you will all say it's too early for her to be doing but Daddy and I know is a real smile. Not PFB at all ;)

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/04/2012 09:36

I guess I should change my name again now I've had her - but with happier connotations than when I changed it last year after the twins :) All suggestions welcome...

Loup23 · 26/04/2012 09:45

Checking in to congratulate all the recent bundles that have come along, seems to be a run of girls now after all those boys! Congratulations to DigitalGirl KatAndKit Dachs and LadyMaybe i've been on different threads with you all!

21+5 here, nothing to report really apart from sacral joint pain which is literally a pain in the arse Grin.

Hope everyone else is well, googie you're next!

mrspear · 26/04/2012 11:40

Can i lurk please. I need a little calming. I have just tested and it is positive. Trouble is i can't be. For start i used a 99p shop test as i wasted money last month on a negative. Secondly my history goes like this mc, baby at 30 weeks (ok but has hearing loss) and then mc.

Help

KnitterNotTwitter · 26/04/2012 13:59

mrspear You're very welcome to lurk here however did you know about our sister thread for people who have just found out their PG after mc - here? Might be some more people in a similar situation to you which might be more helpful for you.

Hugs, and Congratulations though :)

Daisybell1 · 26/04/2012 18:39

Aw it's such lovely fluffy bunny rabbits here at the moment , fab news from all and massive hugs and congratulations all round.

funchum8am · 26/04/2012 20:02

Congratulations to all the recent new mums!

moomin I am feeling the same way as you - big gaps between feeling movements and they are very slight at present and also I don't feel like my bump is particularly big for almost half way! But everyone keeps saying that's because it is my first so I am aiming to stay positive. Scan next Thursday - I am jealous of you having yours first, due date buddy! I really hope it goes well and you get a lovely sonographer and a big show off baby who waves etc :)

Blackkat · 26/04/2012 20:18

lady so delighted to hear your news, so many congratulations on the arrival of Rosalind. Grin x x

AmandinePoulain · 27/04/2012 04:03

I've lost a bit of fresh blood Sad. After days of nothing. I'm at work so popped down to maternity assessment, saw a dr (who I knew, nothing like someone you've worked with in the past inspecting your bits Blush) who had a good look and told me there is bleeding there but she can't see where it's coming from. My cervix is firmly closed though, she doesn't think it's labour. She took swabs and gave me some canestan, and I've been sent home from work. I think I'll phone my mw later on today. Right now I need to drive home and shock poor sleeping dh by sneaking into the house Grin

Twittwooo · 27/04/2012 07:36

Congratulations Lady! Lovely news, I hope you are enjoying being mummy to Rosalind.

Hope you're feeling okay Amandine and that you get some reassurance from the MW that everything is fine.

Today is the first day of maternity leave for me! Feels very strange, but I have a MW appointment this morning and a busy weekend ahead so keeping active! My job is a very busy one so I think I may feel a bit lost over the next few weeks, but I'm looking forward to it.

Hope all is well with everyone. xx

Ladybee · 27/04/2012 11:31

Oh goodness! Seeing all my old bods come back with congratulations has me in floods GrinSadGrin

It has been a long road and I'm so grateful for the inspiration and support of so many women who have travelled a similar hard pathway. I still find it difficult to believe that I finally got there. But seeing the others get there before me meant that I knew it was possible and I hope those who (sadly) will continue to join our threads will take the same comfort from seeing more names joining the graduates.

I'm beyond happy to finally be one of them.

Ladybee · 27/04/2012 11:34

Amandine who have you seen so far about the bleeding? Could you call the delivery ward about it? I would be pressing for a session on the CTG to monitor baby and a scan to check placenta. Not to worry you unduly because I think the cervical erosion is the most likely but the reassurance would be good.
If NHS won't oblige is there any chance of a private scan?

AmandinePoulain · 27/04/2012 11:50

lady I saw mws and a dr in maternity assessment in the hospital where I work (which isn't the hospital I'm booked into). They listened in several times, her hb was 150-160 (I counted Blush), examined my bump (which is relaxed, I haven't had any tightenings), did an internal exam (cervix long and closed), took a swab and gave me a canestan pessary. She couldn't see any signs of erosion, or even where the blood (which by then was brown discharge) was coming from. My placenta is high and anterior, so I'm not at risk of placenta previa. I'm hoping it's just thrush or something simple. The baby is moving nicely, and my scan 2 weeks ago was fine. If I have any more I'll be straight on the phone to my mw, I may phone her anyway after I've actually got out of bed.

AmandinePoulain · 27/04/2012 12:08

I spoke to my mw who said that there isn't really anything else they'd have done in my local hospital. She was very reassuring and told me to take it easy and contact labour ward if I need anything over the weekend.

Moominsummermadness · 27/04/2012 13:26

Sorry to hear that all Amandine. Hope that you don't have any more bleeding.

Funchum, nice to hear from you! When I had my first, I went for my 38 week appointment with a different midwife. She was shocked, and thought by looking at me that I was about 25 weeks! This week I've had comments ranging from, "Are you sure it's not twins?" to "Your bump is very small considering that you're nearly halfway" !!! I bet that you've got lovely, unstretched tight tummy muscles, unlike my gone to pot ones!

Hello to everyone else.
