dooscooby how are you? Was thinking about you the other day. Things are hectic here, can't believe she was 4 months yesterday. How are you getting on? Hope all well. Have pm'd you too x.

mousebacon · 18/04/2012 21:23

Ooh! Big waves to jolls freezing and dooscooby lovely to 'see' you all. Grin

My meeting went ok today. My pay will be protected for 3 years from September so that's sorted, I get to stay in my preferred year group BUT even though going down to 4 days was agreed SB wanted me to take 2 afternoons rather than the mon or fri I wanted which just wouldn't be workable financially so I'll have to go back full time unless something miraculous changes while I'm on mat leave Sad

I'm gutted but maybe I can re negotiate this time next year?

Anyway, here's today's list Smile

Hello,ladies:)
Feeling guilty for neglecting you for such a long time, especially that it was you that hand held me through the pregnancy and helped me to stay calm.
Thank you very much for all your support and sorry for not writing on the thread more often-my life's pretty hectic just now.
Congratulations to everybody with their little ones, you bloody well deserved the best after all the pain and bereavement you've been through.
To those still waiting for their bundles of joy-keeping fx,you'll get there:)
Wishing all of you all the best for the future

AmandinePoulain · 19/04/2012 13:37

Huge congratulations to dachs, you deserve your gorgeous little girl so much after the heartbreak you suffered last year x

Good luck for Friday lady, how exciting!

mouse I'm Angry on your behalf that you didn't get your Fridays off Angry, do you think she's being deliberately obtuse or is there an actual reason for not offering you what you wanted?

Big waves to all you familiar lurkers!

I'm still feeling rotten - I've been back to the gp this morning for my feet, he's prescribed me some steroid cream, and more antibiotic eye drops because the conjunctivitis is back! I was sick at work yesterday after 7 weeks of no sickness too! Isn't pregnancy fun?! Why aren't a blooming, isn't that supposed to happen this trimester?!

mousebacon · 19/04/2012 18:41

I think she's being deliberately difficult. I found out today she's agreed to our music teacher teaching, on a Friday morning, from 11-12. So it's literally an hour and a half she won't cover me for. Sad and Hmm and very Angry

AmandinePoulain · 19/04/2012 22:09

What does your union rep think?

AmandinePoulain · 23/04/2012 17:20

Well I've spent a fun afternoon in antenatal clinic! (once I'd found a parking space, after driving around the car park twice and after being spoken to in a really patronising way by the attendant I phoned dh in a state and made him leave his meeting and run from his work to take the car off me, I was only 5 minutes late in the end!). The dr was lovely, accepted my reasons for wanting a cs but told me that 'I may change my mind'Hmm so I need to see the consultant at 28 weeks with my previous notes (why aren't previous notes brought up for relevant appointments?! Confused), a counselling mw to discuss my previous delivery, and an anaesthetist! I won't be given a firm yes or no until 34ish weeks. I hate not knowing! I did get to hear the hb again once the baby had come out of hiding Grin

And news from lady?

mousebacon · 23/04/2012 19:09

Hi Amandine

Sadly, union man says it's up to her what days/afternoons/mornings she offers so there's nothing I can do. My year group partner will be the deputy head next year so I'm hoping she sees sense and can persuade the head on my behalf. I won't hold my breath though!

Your parking nightmare sounds familiar! I hate that feeling of the panic rising as you search and search for a space. Pleased you got there in the end though. I'm amazed they didnthave all your notes to hand, what a waste of time! I know I'm having a section (agreed at 20w) but don't get a date until 36w. I'm desperate to know now! Hope you get it all sorted soon xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 24/04/2012 10:53

Hey Gorgeous Ladies

Just popping in to say hi. I'm getting excited because I've got a scan tomorrow (Wed) at 36 weeks to check on growth. Bump is still big so I think they'll be saying that baby is equally big - doesn't feel like there is much fluid in there - same as last time. Assuming she is big then the recommendation is labour ward rather than the MLU (or homebirth) because DS had shoulder distocia and another big baby would be likely to also get stuck...

Hope everyone is doing ok - any news Lady??

mouse hope that you're able to rise above the nasty boss... she'll get what is coming to her one day...

hugs to the rest of you...

AmandinePoulain · 24/04/2012 15:51

Please calm me down...I've just lost some mucousy blood...and my cervix hurts (I know how strange that sounds!). The baby is still wriggly but I'm worried Sad. The mw is on her way out to see me and I've called in sick for work tonight Sad. I can't lose this one, I just can't! She was dancing around last night and I heard her hb yesterday Sad

LAF77 · 24/04/2012 16:02

Amandine hopefully it is just the position of the baby making your cervix hurt. Let us know what the MW says x

AmandinePoulain · 24/04/2012 17:32

Well she's been...and she was reassuring. The baby's hb was great, she said not to panic and if it gets worse I can be assessed in the hospital but as it is I don't need to be seen. She said to take it easy and phone back if I get fresh bleeding or pain. Ideally I would have liked her to examine my cervix but she didn't seem to think there was any need.

Moominsummermadness · 24/04/2012 18:30

Amandine, glad that the midwife was reassuring. Did you ever get treatment for your cervical erosion? Apparently oestrogen can make them worse, which is why they tend to flare up in pregnancy and some women on the combined pill. Hopefully it was nothing to be concerned about.

mousebacon · 24/04/2012 21:15

How are things now Amandine? Hope you're resting xx

Thank you for the scary boss advice knitter xx

AmandinePoulain · 24/04/2012 21:20

Well she's kicking for Wales (and for some reason especially loves thumping my bladder - ouch! Grin). No more bleeding. I just have to wait and see I guess Sad. I've never had any treatment for my erosion moomin, and as I had it with dd and after my mc I'm hoping it's just that. I could do without the worry though, I wish I could just enjoy this pregnancy Sad

LadyMaybe · 25/04/2012 08:46

Hi ladies,
well, i'm going to have to change my name back to LadyBee, as it's no longer a maybe-baby, and neither was it a May bean. Rosalind Eliza was born on at 6:08 AM Sunday 22 April, 38+3, 7lb 8oz, successful VBAC with ventouse at the end as she was getting a little distressed, 28 minutes pushing and just over an hour of 'proper' labour after my waters were ruptured. She's lovely, no problems with her blood sugars after, and I've stopped all insulin etc. She's feeding well but I'm having a few issues with comfort - she had a tongue tie that was clipped but we're still learning to latch properly. Will be back on with a few more details when I get time. Absolutely thrilled and completely surprised that we got a little girl!

hairytale · 25/04/2012 10:30

mamapower · 25/04/2012 11:19

Good news travels fast... Another oldie just popping by to say, Huge Congratulations Lady Smile Enjoy snuggles xx

Moominsummermadness · 25/04/2012 13:27

Yay for Lady!! Congratulations! xxx

Amandine, I bet that it is just cervical erosion. I had one after being on the combined pill for a few years, and it would just bleed randomly for no apparent reason. The bleeding was often as you described. Of course it is much more worrying when you see bleeding when you're pregnant though! I know what you mean about just wanting to enjoy the pregnancy, I'm feeling the same. I worry all the time about movements, when I was pregnant with my youngest DD, once I felt her moving, it felt it pretty much every day. With this one, a couple of days can go by without feeling anything, then when I do, I might only feel 2 or 3 movements then that's it. I've got my 20 week scan on Monday, and I'm getting scan anxiety again. I keep convincing myself that they'll find something wrong!
