ooh it's gone all quiet here - still awaiting news from Kit, I'm sure she will have been induced now, so hope that went ok for you m'dear.

I have attempted to update the list but it was adding a week and a half on so am completely uncertain as to whether I've got dates right (even my own!)

Here's hoping the silence just means that everyone is peacefully and happily occupied and not stressed or worried at all.

My DS's 4th birthday party tomorrow, am quite looking forward to it especially as I can pull out the heavily pregnant 'card' once the cake is made tonight and just direct mostly. That's how it works in my head anyway. I wonder if DH got that memo?

Hi ladies - long time no post!

As you've already heard (thanks LAF ) DS2 was born on Easter Monday. The labour was very different to DS1's, started off well, then stalled, then waters broke, then failed epi, then I somehow managed to push him out with no intervention or stitches needed. Code red PPH after delivering the placenta and lost about 2 litres of blood - so have been pretty wiped out most of the week. Today's the first day that I'm beginning to feel normal. Milk has come in and DS is sleeping longer between feeds. He's so cute. So so so worth it!!!

Can't believe I'm out the other side and we've made another person! I still feel weepy thinking about all those little ones we lost - but if we hadn't then we wouldn't have my gorgeous little boy right now. He's an angel.

Hello ladies

Massive congratulations on the birth of baby Franco digi I'm so pleased for you and the family. I do feel like our journeys to this point have been remarkably close and I can't wait to join you on the other side in a few weeks!

Good luck with the birthday party lady it won't be long until you're top of that list so make the most of being a co-ordinator/supervisor tomorrow! I'm sure your DH won't mind!

Dachs I hope you have your feet up at home - I seriously cannot wait for mat leave to start. The combination of a well overdue ofsted call, unsupported SEN chn and scary boss do not make for a relaxing last few weeks!

A few of you might remember the living hell that scary boss put me through last year and the demotion from my management responsibilities due to my 'lack of committment' (being on the sick after a haemorrage etc..) WELL, my leadership role is due to restart in May just as I go off on mat leave so I'll get my tiny bit of extra money back for 4 months - woohoo!

However, early on in the last week of term SB announced a management 'reshuffle' and said I'd have to reapply for my job come September. She then, later the same week, said she'd had a change of heart and felt it wouldn't be fair to make me apply for a post 'let's face it, we both know you're not going to get' so has offered me 3 years worth of protected pay.

Basically I'll get my £60/70 pcm back and won't have to deal with her horribleness. The only issue I have is that the person who's going to take over from me has been offered a shed load more money than I used to get. Grr!

I have a meeting with her on Wed to discuss everything, including going down to 4 days a week and I'm just waiting for union man to get back in touch with me. I'm trying to find out if she'd have to protect my pay at the old rate or the new rate I'll be missing out on... either way I'm not bothered as long as I know she's been made to do everything by the book - unlike last year when I should have fought her over the harrassment/bullying/victimisation/discrimination due to pg related sickness

Enjoy your last restful weeks dachs, knitter and lady

I've come out in a hideous itchy rash all over my feet. Add to that my blocked nose and sore throat and I'm not feeling my best! The GP tells me that it's a viral thing and I just need to wait for it to run its' course...oh joy!

knitter I do have a date, but I couldn't possibly tell you what it was, or it would spoil the fun!

Am feeling slightly sad about not having the twins, even though I'm pleased to be having this little one. I think the happiness will always be tinged with a little sadness. It's been hard this pg - not being able to get excited at all in case something went wrong again.

I just hope nothing goes wrong now - I have no idea how I'd be able to cope!

Dachs your experience of losing the twins at that late stage always struck me as being incredibly difficult to follow with a successful pregnancy. I know how hard I've found the late stages of my pregnancy, the dread that something will go wrong at the last minute, and I'm sure you must be suffering similarly. I'm very happy to be at the stage where I'm having weekly antenatal appointments, and will possibly be going to every 3-4 days if the OB agrees tomorrow. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I think of you a lot and have everything crossed that the CS date arrives quickly and with no hiccups.

knitter, you see, I'm sort of jealous of the waddling. I don't think I am yet and really NEED this baby to get a move on now...I want to avoid induction if I can and the clock is now ticking.

Digi I'm so chuffed for you, but sorry about the 3rd stage dramas. V pleased milk has come in, take care of yourself, your iron levels and your lovely new boy. It's been a long and difficult road to get where you are - and I feel like I've been tailing you for the last two years. Can't believe I might end up in the same place soon.

Well, the party went well and I'm soooooooo proud of my gorgeous 4yo boy. He behaved brilliantly, no tears tantrums or problems sharing with his guests. He spontaneously thanked people and said that he was having a great day. Just lovely. Today was spent playing with his new toys, asking me to read his new books etc. His actual birthday is tomorrow, and we've got a special present for him to unwrap in the morning. I'm v excited to see his reaction.

I'm then off to my final growth scan and an OB appt, and possibly a stretch & sweep. I'll request one and see what they say at any case. Erm, still haven't packed labour bag. Must get on with that. Job for tomorrow afternoon I guess. Definitely. I promise. No more delays.

Oh Mousebacon glad you've got union involved. It sounds a bit dodgy to me that she would even say outright 'you wouldn't get it' before you'd applied, that sounds like grounds for discrimination right there. But I hope you get the best outcome possible - nightmare boss needs to know that you won't just roll over.

It feels like ages until I get to the top of the board, but having been following you all since I originally joined MN in August, it's amazing how quickly the time seems to have gone.

Camellia Cassandra arrived yesterday at 21.01, surprising her mummy who was scheduled to have her today. She weighed 7lb 7oz and looks just like her daddy.

Congratulations Dachs and Kat I am so pleased for you. Lady it has been a long time coming, but it's your turn at the top!

I echo what digi said, I am so in love with my son, it's been worth the wait. I do wonder about the babies I've lost even more and what they would have been like.

Oh my goodness! Dachs! Congratulations on the birth of your daughter - and a beautiful name.

I had my appointment today, scan was fine although took a while as baby's head was far down and hiding behind pelvic bones. But growth is on track. Still big - estimated at 7lb 12oz at the moment .

Then had an OB appt where she basically said, so let's have the baby next week. Which freaked me out a bit. Then had a VE to see what the state of things was. State of things was that I'm currently 2cm dilated and 1cm effaced and so had a sweep and scheduled another for Friday. On Friday we'll book induction for following week but fingers crossed the sweeps will do business and I'll go into labour spontaneously.
Feeling much more positive about it all knowing my body is gearing up and doing the right thing. Just got a bit of a shock having a potential date for arrival and the idea that things might kick off quite soon. I went late with DS and I guess I just assumed it would happen again or I'd be faced with unfavourable cervix and lousy induction choices.

So being top of the list suddenly just seems to fit in with the rest of my day. Came home, finished packing bag, freaked out a bit more. Eeep. This baby is actually going to come out. Quite soon. Eep.

I can't wait for all of you ladies to announce the birth of your babies. So much to look forward to!

DS is so funny, I'm feeding him at the moment, and he just was trying to push a poo out, going red faced and grimacing, gave himself the hiccups in the process, just latched back on and is feeding through the hiccups with a little furrow in his brow. I have a little picture of him on my MN profile!

Just popped on to cheer loudly at the arrival of the beautiful Camellia.

There are lots of names I know very well in the already arrived list, and a few in the waiting to pop list, particularly LadyMaybe, so fabulous to see you on top of the list. What a journey it has been!

Well just to update on my own. TTC#2 since June 09, and after 3 MMCs and 2 early MCs, I am now 15+3 weeks. I'm rarely on MN these days, so don't want to join your list, but wondered if the next person to update would mind removing me from the "share the pain" list. I'm of course not counting any chickens, as my history and age (44) would make that foolish, but maybe at last I'm going to get my second take-home baby.

Wow-so pleased to hear your news dachs. I've been popping back when I can to see how you were and it was my DH who asked last night how you were as he knows how touched I was by your kindness when I first joined the freak out room. I hope you & camellia are doing just great xx
