GrinGrin congrats freezing

LAF77 · 21/12/2011 21:44

Congrats freezing and I hope that you get to have Charlie home by Christmas.

Waiting for news from blackkat minnie and harassed so not sure if digi knows something more!

The next few weeks are going to be a flurry of activity with a lot of Dec/Jan babies. We need the FO room ladies to graduate and come to build the list back up!

digi I second your comment about alternate active and quiet days. That seems to be how it is for me too. Sorry for missing out a day for you, I guess I was a bit rubbish at updating the list!

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/12/2011 23:20

congrats freezing so happy for you.

Had someone say to me today the immortal line "you must be due quite soon"... I blushed and said "actually I'm only 4 months"

LadyMaybe · 21/12/2011 23:35

Yay! Congratulations Freezing, sounds like Charlie is doing well responding to the lightbox, and getting over his jaundice. What a lovely Christmas present.

Every time I look at the list I get very excited at the prospect of all the babies arriving - and I'm sorry I seem to have missed Kat and Digi reaching viability as well, another great milestone to reach and pass Grin (my book says viability is 23+1 in the UK, wonder what it is here?)

I've just managed to track down a place that sells chestnuts so am going to hustle DS into the car and go and get them. Am feeling very relieved that finally some deliveries turned up - just have to attempt to stencil a t-shirt, make some more food gifts and wrap! Oh and make a pie for Boxing day. And think of a vegetable accompaniment for Christmas lunch that isn't roasted. And get the laundry pile...And...get off mumsnet

LadyMaybe · 21/12/2011 23:42

Hmm, just looked it up and it appears that the there is a fuzzy area at 23+0 and 23+6 weeks where it would be a discussion between staff and parents about active treatment. Then at 24 weeks all the treatment kicks in as standard protocol. That's at National Women's where I'm registered in NZ. right now I'm definitely getting off mumsnet

digitalgirl · 22/12/2011 00:10

lady wow that's a lot to do still. I was going to sort my mum and sister's presents this week but they've turned out to be too expensive so back to square one. Jamie did a tasty looking sauteed celeriac dish the other night. Don't know if you get that veg in nz - but the recipe is on channel 4's food site.
I thought 24 weeks is the viability milestone, but I guess there's been some success at 23 so it's a bit of a fuzzy area. Am hanging on for Monday though.

laf nope, I have no other info on the others!

Hi everyone. Well after a mammoth 50ish hours from start to finish our little boy was born on Monday afternoon following epidural, episiotomy and a rather traumatic-to-watch forceps delivery! Wasn't helped by the doctor doing the episiotomy commenting that they were the crappest scissors she'd ever seen and they should be thrown away!

Anyway Max Gabriel George was born at 3.13pm weighing 7lbs 14oz (big head-hence the long labour and forceps!). He is gorgeous and I'm truly blessed.

Doo I feel for you with the BF. You sound like you're being so brave. BF is not going well now we're home and we've resorted to formula this morning. The thought of him anywhere near my nipples makes me cry but so does giving the formula. Midwife coming later so will try and get some help.

freezing big congrats on the birth of Charlie. So teeny-he sounds adorable! Enjoy the snuggling it is just the best isn't it? xxx

Thank you to everyone for all your support over the last year and so much love to everyone still on the journey. This thread is really a lifeline and all you ladies are wonderful-can't wait to her about all your little bundles over the next few months xxx

digitalgirl · 22/12/2011 11:33

Huge congratulations minnie sounds like you've been through it, but so pleased to hear your beautiful son is here safe and sound. Have updated the list.

Also have done some de-cluttering and removed those whose babies were born in 2010...I can replace if anyone's not happy about that, just thought the list was getting so long it was overwhelming to us ladies still pregnant.

blackkat You MUST have been induced by now? Looking forward to hearing from you!

Congrats minnie and freezing - so pleased for you both. Just off to the docs but will pop by again later ....

Blackkat · 22/12/2011 21:25

Congrats to freezing, hope Charlie is progressing well. Minnie so delighted for you on the arrival of Max.

harassed thinking of you my love ((hugs))

I went into labour naturally at 42 weeks bang on, and laboured at home for 18 hours, after much negotiation with the labour ward! However, didn't make enough progress, despite waters going and so was transferred in via ambulance and given epidural and syntocin. Fully dilated 4 hours later, but baby had turned head in pelvis so had to move to theatre where an episiotomy, failed ventouse and finally a forceps delivery later our beautiful baby daughter was born weighing 8lb 10. Lost rather a lot of blood, but all in all only a 27 hour labour, minnie you have my eternal respect and utmost sympathy. Smile

I need to echo my thanks to the ladies here and in the common room who have kept me sane over the last few months since my mc and also during this pregnancy, Collie, Cep, Owl, Izzy, Pink, Mouse, Lara, WiW, Minnie, Bigmac, Daisy, YRMOTB, Harassed, Dachs Tina and Milkys.
I have had the privilege of meeting some of you in real life and wish I could meet all of you to thank you in person for your support, love, friendship and most of all for being there, not judging and truly understanding. I could not have managed my pregnancy with so little stress without you all.

Wishing love and best wishes to all of you on the list and still to join, I can't wait to hear your good news.

Mouse, Knitter, Lady, Digi it's fantastic to see you all here or about to be here. I will keep lurking to hear your news, if you'll have me. Grin

I'm off to update the list, something I've been itching to do for a couple of weeks.

CollieandPup · 23/12/2011 06:01

I just love looking at the list! I never thought I'd see my name on the 'arrivaks' list, let alone do far up with do many other lovely ladies. It's beautiful. I second everything blackkat said, I love you all xxx

Freezingmyarseoff · 23/12/2011 08:46

Wow congrats to minnie & blackkat.

DiffedAgainDachs · 23/12/2011 09:29

Congrats people :). Lovely Christmas presents. I hope you are enjoying lots of newborn snuggles.

Minidachs has been kicking lots. I think she wants to be a footballer... It's slightly strange being more pregnant than ever before. I'm counting down the days until viability! (17 days...). I hope nothing goes wrong this time. I saw my doc yesterday and he said everything is looking fab at the moment, so I hope it stays that way. Having decided we weren't going to buy anything this time until24 weeks I realised yesterday that the bean already has a more impressive wardrobe than me, and DH has banned me from buying any more for her.....

Daisybell1 · 23/12/2011 13:05

Many congrats to the new mums and babies, its fab news to hear from you all. Before the proud grandparents descend on us, I'd just like to say thank you to you all for all your support over the last year. Pip's nearly 3 months old now (!) but I'm really not sure where I'd be without all of you.

Much apparently un-mumsnetty love to you all xxx

Ps Dachs - love bean's wardrobe! I had to give in 2 weeks ago and buy a hanging rail for all Pip's frocks. And this was going to be the child who never wore pink or dresses Confused

mousebacon · 23/12/2011 20:41

Ah, shed actual tears at blackkat's message.

Wishing you all a very merry christmas Xmas Grin

dooscooby · 24/12/2011 00:49

Hope you're getting on ok blackkat and are being well looked after. Thinking of harassed...

It's officially my bday now, best pressy would be to get bub to finally latch on the right, oh how times change!!

Merry christmas to all you lovely ladies, bumps and bubs xxxx

DiffedAgainDachs · 24/12/2011 09:26

Merry Christmas!

And Happy Birthday doo :) xxx

dooscooby · 24/12/2011 13:18

Thanks dachs, certainly beats last years birthday when I m/c again Sad. Wishing you and your Dh and bump the peaceful uneventful Xmas you deserve x

harassedandherbug · 24/12/2011 17:56

So sorry I've not been on here much, its not easy on my phone so tend to FB.

Doo happy birthday and huuuuge congratulations lovely x x

blackat & collie.. stop I'll be in tears!

So.... Two days over. Dd was 10 days late btw! I've had two sweeps and I'm 2cms dilated. Cervix is thin and soft, had a show. Get tonnes of braxtons. Still no baby!! Due for another sweep on boxing day if they're not too busy, not sure what happens after that.

Ginga66 · 25/12/2011 00:27

Seventeen weeks nearly and quite bad pains. No bleeding. Like period pain. Should I be worried. Mc in July.
