wombatinwaiting · 08/11/2011 16:26

Woohoo hils! Grin - great news on Archie (fab name too). Were you expecting an early arrival? Let us know the full low-down as and when you get a chance!

Didn't get around to looking at the bugaboo video, ended up trying perineal massage instead which we both quite enjoyed which makes me think we're definitely not doing it right Blush

wombatinwaiting · 08/11/2011 16:27

Ooh and sorry - cep - good luck over the next few hours. xx

Velvetcu · 08/11/2011 17:44

Congrats hils lovely baby news

Good luck cep

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/11/2011 17:46

Congratulations hils - fantastic news!! Grin Grin Grin

Best of luck to cep ....

Ireneisback · 08/11/2011 17:48

Hils congratulations! Lovely names by the way. How are you feeling?

Cep hope things get moving for you. Good luck, hope it all goes well and you're posting good news of an arrival soon.

I'm completely in love with DS2, it is so lovely having baby snuggles again. I'd forgotten how nice it was. He's doing really well, as am I although am a bit floored sometimes after the cs, although getting more mobile all the time. Baby is a right hungry monster. My nips are ragged so have to work on the BF latch a bit. Am having to top him up with formula because he'll take a whole formula portion and want both tits too. He seems to be doing fine on it though.

laylasmummy09 · 08/11/2011 19:03

Congratulations hills how lovely I'd love DS to come anytime after 37 weeks I don't want to go over again the waiting sucks, the list is getting far too short for my liking, I've got ages to go but at this rate ill be at the top in a blink, have a good eavening all x

dooscooby · 08/11/2011 19:20

Fab new hils, another boy too! Can't remember if cep is blue too?
Where is collie? Reckon she's sneakily in labour early too?!

bummer you've still got the spd harassed. I'm getting a bit more prepared, ordered the buggy and Moses basket now, bought the car seat too. Need to look at the smaller stuff but i dont want to be ready too early for fear of being really late and having to just wait iykwim-is that silly?!

Glad your doing ok irene, bless your hungry little one!

CollieandPup · 08/11/2011 20:05

Hils that's fantastic news congratulations!!!!!

cep hope you had a nice afternoon. Good luck, thinking of you!

doo I'm here although I'm a currently feeling torn between hoping cep gets her newborn snuggles very soon, and being totally freaked out at potentially being at the top of the list!!!!! I don't think I want the baton I have a terrible feeling all baton holders have gone over due!!!

Have been having lots more BH/contractions. Not really sure what to sell them. Not strong enough to be contractions and eventually die off but also have had a clear pattern - up to every 3-5 mins lasting 50-55 secs so not necc BH either!!! Bit quieter today though.

In other news, dh might have an interview for a job he'd applied for with price waterhouse coppers and has someone with connections making a recommendation! Fx please!!!

Ireneisback · 08/11/2011 20:13

Collie could that be the start? Sounds like what I had to begin with.

cep · 08/11/2011 20:35

evening ladies. Still here, lunch was nice glad i got the chance. blood has eased off, getting the odd ache/pain in my side but nothing dramatic yet.

collie technically velvet still has the baton, she wanted a hold and still has it. Which i'm perfectly happy with. Grin Have a feeling it's not going to be tonight anyway. But will let you all know.

Velvetcu · 08/11/2011 21:08

Ooooh collie interesting point about baton holders and overdueness. Who have our past baton holders been? I can only remember irene and daisy!

Purpletoes · 08/11/2011 23:32

Just a quick message to say congrats to hills and Archie Grin

Keeping fingers crossed for cep

Waves to everyone else

PinkFondantFancy · 09/11/2011 03:17

Congratulations hils!

doo I've got a moby wrap, it can be used from birth although tis a bit pricey

bigmacandhappymeal · 09/11/2011 04:48

Morning all

hils enormous congratulations!

What a flurry of arrivals and like the others have said - gulp - that list is getting shorter and the top is getting nearer and nearer :) Confused

cep hope all is well with you? (completely understand letting velvet hold the baton - I think at least another 3 laps should do it!

All well here. ML started this week (well a week's annual leave) and I've been a busy bee so far. Baby feels very, very low and the pressure on my bladder is really quite something. Also having period pains but for extended periods of time rather than anything 'contracty' and my hips are knacking which they haven't really done since early PG. Hey ho :) Anyone else notice their bean get a lot quieter (i'm now 37+2)? Still moving around but noticeably less movement. I'd decided not to worry about it as I figured s/he has run out of room... anyone else?

irene glad your boy is such a guzzler. Have you tried lasinoh on your poor nips?

wiw PMSL at the perineal massage. I'm not 100% sure that enjoyment is the intended outcome but let's take it where we can get it shall we Grin? Can I ask a question? Were you using a special oil?

Interested in this sling chat - I was planning to get one once the happymeal arrived (there's a place near me that does fittings of various types)

Finally, our pram arrrived yesterday. It's sat in the hallway somewhat expectantly

Thanks for all the list updates - laff and stitch please work your magic in the freakout room and get more ladies over here :)

LILI80 · 09/11/2011 08:12

Hi ladies

Mind if I join? I'm now 21 weeks pg with second DC. Due date is 21/03/12.

Could really do with some happy pg chat as I've been made to feel guilty just recently for being pg.

Basically I applied for a new job within the organisation I work for and I was one of the people who got it. I was really happy as this job is more secure, more high profile and will give me better career prospects for the future!

However, those that didn't get the job have been really horrible questioning why I went for the job when I'm pg! One lady phoned me up and asked me to give up my place for her place on the reserve list!! She also made the point that this job will only just of finished training me and then I'll be going on mat leave.

It's been so bad that I feel bad about being pg! The other thing is that my new job won't know I'm pg yet as it's illegal to discriminate against pg people so on the application form there was nothing to say btw i'm pg.

My current manager is really supportive and said it's been done the right way i.e based on my abilities and she has said she will let new job I am pg so I don't feel uncomfortable when I start!

Anyway sorry to go on. Just feel sad that they're making me feel this way. Just want to feel happy again about pg - so here I am! Smile

waves to everyone xxx

LAF77 · 09/11/2011 08:34

Welcome lili we are EDD sisters! Sorry you are having trouble at work. Just cos your pg doesn't mean that you are not the best candidate for the job. Hopefully, they will see it too. I've been annoyed at work too. My boss was changed retroactively without a proper introduction. I'm on holiday this week and I got an email from the new one asking to meet me this week. I found it very crass that there hasn't been any human side to any of this, like no one really cares. Everyone is too busy

Are you team pink or team blue?

cep · 09/11/2011 10:39

lili hello sweet, i remember you from the early thread. Congratulations on the pg. Yay for new job welldone. Can't believe the cheek of that woman, talk about bitter. You have every right to apply for jobs regardless of being pg.

bigmac yay for ml. enjoy while you can.

Am still here, things seemed to fade last night, i think i had pains last night but since waking up not sure if i dreamt them or not. More blood this morning and a few period pains, but as i've been busy again taking ds to nursery and getting a few things at tescos things seem to have slowed again. But am now on my ball, mum's in the kitchen baking me some biscuits, and i'm not planning to move until time for nursery pick up or ml unit. Things have started so differently to when i had ds that i feel quite unsure.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 09/11/2011 10:55

minnie Sorry for losing you a week! Not good at this stage of things!

hils huge congratulations! Archie is a lovely name.

Waves to all. All ok over here, baby is currently breech, but nobody seems too bothered, and I have another check in 2 weeks at 34 weeks. Turn baby, turn!

cep have you rang the mat unit about the blood and show? Good luck!

cep · 09/11/2011 11:00

to be honest no. Didn't see the point as no real pain yet.

Blackkat · 09/11/2011 11:39

lili so nice to see you here Smile - sorry to hear you are having such a rotten time at work. The woman who rang you up sounds totally insensitive. At least your boss sounds like they are supporting you well.

Cep Sounds like you're doing just fine, keeping FX for you.

YRMOTB sure baby will turn, just do some of those crazy upside down things izzy was trying the other week!

Bigmac yay for termness, that snuck through quietly!! Grin

Collie great news on the interview for DH, will be keeping fx

And on the baton, didn't owl have it a long time too?

to everyone else
